  1. What do you want?!? There's pics on our front page! TLC took the pictures off their server when they were leaked this week, they'll put them up again eventually. And don't get your hopes too high, it'll be the same two pictures we (this includes you) already know. Now stop being annoying >:-(
  2. Oh, I think there are a few people who would. It's aimed at AFOL and we know they like to spend money on a well designed set... I don't think it'll take too long until pics of more than one Cafe Corner will show up somewhere... Brickjournal says there's at least one more set planned and more or less ready. Not necessarily a corner set, though. The success of this line will depend on how well the Cafe sells.
  3. You're right. All I know about him is that he's from Germany and he has an entire attic for his "layout". And he made the layout himself. I especially like the dark red factory *wub*
  4. Cool, thanks for the link. I've been checking this morning and couldn't find it ;-) He always does that, just ignore it...
  5. Thanks for the links! Man, even I already knew that. That's old news... Do you ever read our forums before you post? :-|
  6. The apartments all costs the same, no matter how many people are in it. "Officially" it's for 4 people. It's 60 Euro per night for 2 nights. copmike and Ras pay 50 per night because they stay more than 4 nights. Breakfast is an extra 6 Euro per person per day. That would leave 7 people for 2 apartments (4+3). So, the two possibilities are: Double room (Hobbes, 2 people, already booked) Double room (Holodoc, 2 people, already booked) Apartment (copmike/ras + 2 or 3 people, already booked) Apartment (4 or 5 people) Double room (Hobbes, 2 people, already booked) Double room (Holodoc, 2 people, already booked) Apartment (copmike/ras + 1 or 2 people, already booked) Apartment (3 or 4 people) Small family room (kimt/morten) I know you guys are "party people". But don't forget that each of you has baggage, many will buy stuff at LEGOLAND, many will trade stuff, there's lot's of stuff in the rooms, even if it's only for 2 days. And in the evening we'll most likely gather in a bigger room anyway. I'm not trying to force anybody into anything, just don't try to save 10 bucks and don't feel comfortable afterwards. That's from my experience when staying in small rooms ;-)
  7. Hello and welcome to EB :-) Uh-oh... I understand, though, that you don't list the best theme *cough*Trains&Town*cough* of all time since it's ubiquitous ;-)
  8. * * * Update * * * I booked 2 double rooms (Hobbes family and Holodoc family) and one apartment (copmike & ras + 2 people). For the second apartment they said it would be possible to cram 5 people in (emphasis on "cram") and it'd only be possible with an "extra bed" (inflatable mattress or something) which we'd have to bring ourselves. Again, it would be crammed they said. The other possibility would be another apartment for 3 people (60 Euro per night + breakfast) and a so called "small family room" for 2 people (53 Euro per night). Which shall it be?
  9. Nah, it's not MISB, it'll do what it's meant to do: run around on my layout pulling waggons... for 30 seconds per day and then go back in the underground vacuum vault ;-)
  10. Well, "a bit" ;-) But less than a boxed version usually goes for. And I save on shipping because the guy offered to send it for free when I asked him if I could combine shipping for both sets if I won the 7760 and he had already sent the 7823 when he read the e-mail :'-)
  11. I've seen his MOCs before, they're absolutely amazing. What I like most is that despite their size and complexity, and with the use of his back drops they have that invaluable Classic Castle "look & feel" :'-)
  12. A shameless double post, but I have to make a separate post because I got it! I got it! I finally got it! After 20+ years the wait is over: Today I won a MIB 7760 on ebay! I already won a 7823 from the same seller which arrived yesterday in absolute pristine condition. From the pics I have this little gem is in similar condition. I finally own the best train set ever made - I'm so happy :'-) :'-) :'-) :'-)
  13. That's the spirit, exellent *y* X-D
  14. Why is this rank business so important to everybody?! There is a topic explaining the ranks, what else do you want? It's supposed to be a fun way to use our boards, not become a competition. Asking and sweet talking won't bring anybody anywhere, except maybe on our black list if someone's too annoying. We choose the staff. Period. Oh, and by the way, the next one of you kids sending me a PM asking about becoming a staff member gets banned instantly! I'm serious...
  15. I just don't post in welcome threads that often ;-)
  16. Ha! Perfect! Welcome to EB :-)
  17. You wouldn't really "change the gender". "Back in the days" there was only one smiley head, the difference between male and female was achieved by the different hair pieces. So, basically you would just go retro ;-)
  18. Yes, they are. I've seen them used as window trims before...
  19. Don't use 'em. Use the tiles for something else. Maybe ;-) Me, I don't care about that. I do try to set up my town so it doesn't look too "awkward", of course. But I'm not a model builder, my town has to have the "LEGO look and feel". Tiles are nice, SNOT is good, but only where absolutely needed. True, this set would stand out by far among my Town/City sets. But I don't care. My town is a permanent WIP, so I'll just see it as... I dunno, a new restored town center or something... restoration could even be a story line for my town (even if not the most exciting one) and explain why it'll never be finished ;-)
  20. Where's the problem? You just build it and put it on your main street corner. It's that easy. That's the beauty of T&T, you can mix everything in it (I even have Western and Pirates in my town). Of course, your town doesn't look like those on LUG or LTC exhibitions but those are model building exhibitions IMHO. Not many people have that at home. I'm glad I'm collecting Town and won't have to figure out where to put a set that doesn't fit my collection of SW or Bionuckle ;-)
  21. Happy birthday! Enjoy your at the corner ;-)
  22. I don't dare ask.............. ;-) LCD, huh? Sounds like... you know... addictive all the same... I'm occupying an entire room (pics will follow) with shelfs, tables and boxes and what not. So, yeah, I know this "I have to buy"... oddly enough my wife gets those... "attacks" too sometimes... ;-)
