  1. It is. Has been for a few days ;-)
  2. Realistic. But I said "with time", didn't say when ;-)
  3. Construction. Cool color scheme, cool models, and I like cranes, too (just don't go all technical on me, I dunno nothing about the real ones) *y* @Holodoc: I see you still have hope. Try to keep it, it'll fade with time ;-)
  4. :-D :-D :-D No problem ;-)
  5. And offer extension sets, like single floors. Having to buy multiple full sets sooner or later will bring even "rich" AFOL to their financial limits...
  6. Here in Austria they're hard to find, too. If you find them it's in very limited quantity (as in "one" or "two"), or just one of the packs (usually the clones are gone and some of the droids are available). I wanted to get a few to resell them once they're gone but I've given up on that project. Too expensive to make decent profit anyway X-D
  7. Welcome to EB, Eccohawk, and thanks for this little insight :-) Sounds like mine, too X-D Ah, damn, hue still is a problem :-/ I agree, the price is a refreshing surprise for a set of that size...
  8. Oh, France generally has some good prices - compared to Austria at least. But with the Cafe I can't complain...
  9. There's no LEGO in here, off to C&MM you go...
  10. I'll let that slip just this once... :-P
  11. Wow, I don't see the decal being a decal anywhere 8-
  12. Right, why didn't I check there *wacko* Thx ;-)
  13. B-RV-14C Now that's an interesting building technique: (Click image for gallery) Cool what people come up with all the time... although the windows opening up and down are kinda odd...
  14. I agree, the baseplates alone make it look like they're in the desert. But if you add more "ground" (like rocks or something) it could look like a beach. Maybe that's what Athos has in mind since it's a WIP ;-) They didn't? Interesting... I never noticed when watching Wickie ;-)
  15. It's about time it is. I didn't even manage to do a simple task like changing the standard folder for your models. It let me chose a new folder but then omitted the first letter and thus created a new folder cos the one without the first letter didn't exist, of course *wacko* That's really annoying... >:-(
  16. He can't. He posted this before he got banned. It was a different account, too (his first had a "0" (zero) at the end, this one had an "O" at the end). Best to ignore him.
  17. I saw that gallery, too, earlier. Actually I think it's funny ;-) Sure, it's not the best way to display a brand new set but it adds humor to the layout. That's what I like with some of the layouts on brickshelf. It's like some members here think about stories for their pics... Or it's a display of the half-life period of current LEGO bricks... :-/
  18. If your village looks like in the pics about your house it'll fit perfectly :-) That might even be true. They sell it as a different theme, too...
  19. I really like it. It has a classic touch. It does look more medieval than modern, probably because you mixed the figs and the scenery around it. I don't mind that, though. I used to mix my old train with my brother's castle all the time. That's what I've always liked about the System themes. Your house could be used as a "Fachwerkhaus" in a town layout (not so much a city layout) or as a house in a castle layout. Nice MOC *y*
  20. I still don't like it. IMHO it's merely a platform. A station has to be bigger. This one doesn't even have a waiting room or the hint of a hall. The design is nice and reminds me of 4554 (and is probably quite a good addition) but as a stand alone station is cr... not that good...
  21. I dunno about skyscrapers... There are some nice architectural examples around the world, but I prefer the old-style buildings from around the 1930s/1940s, like in Chicago or New York. These would fit with the Cafe Corner, too. I don't think we will see modern style skyscrapers soon, now that the Cafe is out and depending on the success attachable models will follow. Modern buildings would ruin the "design". Also it's a financial question. The Cafe sets you back $/EUR 140 which is a fair price but not exactly pocket money. They could sell a skyscraper modularly, like a base with one or two floors and the roof and then sell single floors individually. That way you could build your scraper as high as you like. They're not into this yet, though, which the back of the Cafe box shows: they want us to buy two or more full sets. For a skyscraper that would mean a pretty steep price. Smaller size? I don't think so. When was the last time we had smaller buildings? Only police and fire stations and the hospital. All the houses we got came from the Creator line, and the Cafe fits in there nicely. I like that, although the size will present a problem for some old-style layout people. And I don't think TLC will go back to making smaller houses when the Creator and UCS lines sell well. They'd be their own enemy. UCS? Hmm... with the success of the Cafe and potential successors one day maybe. But at a decent size it would beat the Falcon's price... Miniscale? They had them in the miniscale factory sets and I dunno how successful that was. If you're desperate about a skyscraper that fits your city go get 4-5 hospitals, lose the baseplate and accessories and stack 'em up ;-)
  22. He didn't. Why? Because it's not available yet. Those pics look like pics from the toy fair we already know, just from a different angle plus some box art. I like the truck. It's probably nothing fancy but as a display model next to the others of late I'll get it. Maybe not as soon as it hits the stores but later. Fits nicely with the design of the tractor et al.
  23. Brickjournal says yes. And more if they sell well.
  24. Oh, him... Yeah, I was jumping on the third person running gag but didn't use a smiley ;-)
