I'm still not sure what to think of the ship wreck. I bought one because of the sub which I thought would fit nicely with my Divers. I've had it for over a month now but somehow it doesn't live up to the product picture. I'm not sure, something's missing. Maybe I just have to finish my under water scene and it looks better then...

Fair enough. BUT We're talking plastic bricks fresh out of the factory, not brick having withstood the elements for 200 years. While it is kinda realistic looking that effect wasn't intentional and being satisfied with the realistic look is a lame excuse and doesn't give LEGO reason to change it. Want a realistic look? Use different shades of the colors, but all in pristine quality. PS: My tone is directed at TLC, not saturncoupe1999 ;-)

You won't believe it but it's an online game with a massive amount of users. Massive as in "hundreds of thousands", not just "many".

As soon as the CC companies change their policies of charging shop owners 2-3 % (used to be 5 %) of the turnover they make. Should they do that they'd have to get the money from the customers, though, which means interests on CCs would increase - vicious circle...

Thanks for the review, dunamis, and the effort you put in it. A pleasure reading a review like that *y* I have to say, though, that I am bothered by the (few) bad quality parts. This is getting worse and worse. Look at the glasses, that's horrible :-X I resent spending about 130-140 Euro on that. I'm building 8289 at the moment and I have discolorations there, too. Not too many but they're there. They're everywhere. I haven't bought a set in the last 18 months where this wasn't the case. This is poor quality management. Period. I don't care what it looks like, I know that there's discolored or bad quality parts in it and I'll always know... If I see more pictures with quality concerns turn up I'll think twice about buying it, at least at full price... This is really becoming a nuisance >:-(

That's a great model! Reminds me of the one I want to build: I like this sort of fire truck, more than the ladder trucks, because of its kinda "bulky" and "heavy" look and the compartment doors on the side :-) Yours may be a bit longer than the one in the pic but you've captured the look quite well (even though that one most likely wasn't your real life model ;-)). I also like how you fit the equipment into the compartments, as well as the small details all around and the SNOT on the back. Two *y*

Some are, but most can be fitted with a motor. The others need some modifications then it should be possible, too. For someone 16+ this should be doable.

I read a few comics when I was a kid but haven't read any since then. I don't dislike it, I just don't care much about it, either. I don't think it was that popular here, then again I wasn't into comics that much.
