Wow, the price is horrible to go with it

I like the idea of more playsets, similar to the Endor set. The upcoming Hoth one has people divided, but I like the idea of a Mos Eisley/Jabba's Palace set. I certainly wouldn't be against more Endor or Tatoonie sets

It certainly is a good start, but agree with the others. The front seems a bit too bulky, and it would benefit from being smoothed out. It just looks a bit too busy in my opinion.

And US sellers will do a roaring trade as international buyers try to find ways to pick it up cheaper. Personally, I cannot wait

Great collection there. I've been considering building a Gungan army. I think it would be an impressive scene to create, but they are gungans after all :p Very impressed with the wookies!

Actually it is pretty good. It is $260 US RRP, but then you have to get it over here, and it is a big heavy set. There are only 9 Bricklink stores selling a brand new one cheaper, and that is before factoring in any postage. It definitely is a good option for those who don't like to purchase overseas

Yeah unfortunately they were removed a few days ago. All up mine cost $211 delivered

My last order took nearly 3 weeks with the basic shipping option. I have two lots coming this time, one is standard and the next (my Mindstorm set) through International Priority. The first lot shipped on the 26th of May, and the second on the 1st of June. Will be interesting to see which comes first

I know it has been awhile since this review come out but I must comment. My set arrived today, the box a bit busted up with seals popped, so I opened it to make sure everything was inside it. It was awesome to get onto this review and see one of the first pictures showing all the bags, so I was able to count them and make sure they were all there. My better half looked at all the bags (and my children looked at them hungrily, wanting to rip them open and build) and all she could say is "How big is that one going to be?" :p I cannot wait to get started, the review looks great for this awesome set. Now just to find the space to put it. BTW did anyone end up motorising it?

I was quite looking forward to getting the latest MF, as I don't have one yet. However, looking at the latest version, it seems a bit lacking. I can't quite put the finger on it yet. It might be something I pick up on discount later on

A second 10188 Death Star Playset, solely for investment purposes

I would like some more creatures, particularly from the arena scene in ep 2. Might as well throw in a Padme in white/torn shirt.

I will just wait and see what happens. Last B&N order was just left on my doorstep without needing a signature or anything

I don't know whether they have just updated their stock but they have had the Garbage Truck set before. It was my only purchase from them, and it cost the same amount when I ordered it in October. Looking back, I received it 5 weeks after ordering

It does seem to be very hit and miss with them. I placed an order and 4 weeks later received it, but did get delay emails and options to cancel. For that price I am willing to wait and see if they can deliver or not.

I received an email today from B&N, basically saying they shouldn't have applied the 30% off to the Mindstorms set I ordered, and that they were cancelling my order. Will be interesting, considering they sent me a "Your item has shipped" email a week ago and my credit card was charged. I'm assuming that the set is in transit already, and they are just cracking down on orders late (the set was removed from the site a couple of days ago) They sent me a $5 coupon for the inconvenience as a good faith gesture. Is this common practice for them?

Thanks for the review. I'm not a big fan of this set, though again the detail on the minfigs is excellent. I will probably just hit Bricklink for Ki-Adi-Mundi.

Damn :( When my order gets in I will have 39 Snowtroopers 39 Rebels (different variations) 1 Echo base 2 Hoth base 3 AT-ATs (1 4483, 2 motorised) 2 Wampa Caves I have the same issue though, some are still sealed or packed away. Simply not enough display space

Please don't encourage him I'm accumulating my Hoth minifigs now and just waiting for my latest order, will take a pic when I sort them. It will be scary to see if muttley has one though.
