I quite like this set. I've purchased a few from eBay and internationally at basically the same cost that a standard battle pack is here. Again the detail of the 2011 minifigs are awesome as seen with the gungans. Love the detailed pics in this review, thanks!

Wasn't ivan mater when he went undercover? Agree with the Tall Tales sets, my kids absolutely love them. It would be a shame if POTC died off, I am sure there are plenty of options available to expand. Disappointed with princesses being duplo only, my daughter loved Lego but the belville stuff doesn't really interest her.

Interestingly part of my BN shipped, but not the Podracers set. Hoping they won't screw me over

Today ordered 1 x podracer set (have really been looking out for this!) 1 x ewok attack (my fifth, can never have enough ewoks!) Both encyclopaedias with the minifigs With all the technic I have been buying as well, my Lego budget is waaay out. Oh well :)

But then tax is removed, which helps. Amazon.fr ship the Death Star for around the $500 AU right now, depending on the dollar. They key is keeping the freight costs down. As the SSD and DS have the same RRP, I am hoping it will be the same. But this is getting off topic. The sooner this is available the better for me, though considering I still haven't opened one of my Death Star playsets, who knows how long it will be before I open this one

A couple of things The Super Star Destroyer has popped up again at S@H with the enticing (not) price tag of $699.95..... No doubt there will alot of Lego being imported in the first week of September Also B&N have listed Anakin and Sebulba's Podracers, though currently listed Out Of Stock, so hopefully people can use them with the 30% discount code at some stage.

No because our RRP is alot higher, sometimes by nearly 100%. Lego sells in a much greater volume in the US, which is probably why they get a better price. For the rest of the world they are seen as luxury items.

I listed this in the Aussie thread as a special after Splat discovered we could import from them. Setup Google Chrome, go to Amazon.fr and get it from there. Aussie dollar slumping wont have helped lately, but it'd be around $500 odd delivered. Shipping is generally the killer, as Bricklink owners usually cost a minimum of $120 to ship such a large set here. I'm assuming $749 is delivered, as it is listed at $699

Thanks for that Splat. My last order from Amazon.co.uk came very smashed up, water got into the shipping box and in turn into the Lego boxes with two of them getting ruined. I sent an email through saying I wasn't happy with how they shipped it and the damage that occurred. Within an hour, they sent me an email apologising, reshipped two replacement sets and told me that I could keep the other ones for whatever I deemed fit. My response was stating that that wasn't necessary, but the two sets had already shipped. I opened up the busted up boxes myself and kept them, and put the 2 new ones aside to go under the K-Mart Wishing Tree at Christmas time. Amazon were all class, so definitely cannot complain!

Ok, I did some mucking around on Amazon.fr. I took a few items through to checkout, got their final prices in Euros with tax removed, and then converted them into Aussie dollars using XE.com for a guide. Please note that none of these include shipping, but I have not seen anything exceed 30 euros for 2-4 day delivery, regardless of how much I put in the basket! I put in the Death Star Playset for a 20 euro delivery charge! This is my opinion of this set. It looks horrid and disjointed, but the collection of minifigs and individual pieces is intriguing. I dislike the Australian price tag on it though

Thanks for posting this. I saw some of the SW sets started popping up on Amazon UK and was hoping for some great prices but they won't ship those sets here That being said, my last order from Amazon was smashed up and even water got into the boxes, but their customer service was awesome. Really not sure about trying out BN again though, regardless of their price. 2 of my 3 orders have been packed poorly. EDIT: They also have the Sith Nightspeeder at $22.45 US and the Ewok Attack at $22.45 US

After saying no more ordering (though this is now the last one!) I placed another Amazon UK order. Could not resist the Technic 8052 Container Truck at 33.33 pounds, so bought a few of them. Christmas shopping is done early this year, and will consist of Lego for most family members
