Ah that's the group I was thinking of. Did they remove the boxes and repack your modular sets, or ship them whole? How much were they to ship? With the strength of our dollar, and the sales that will undoubtedly emerge from the States, I just want to make sure that I may be able to participate

It's going to happen whether people like it or not. If people want the set, and it is discontinued, they either pay for it or go without. You only have to see how high the UCS MF is now, so I can see why people would buy a spare to hold onto.

I love it. Not fussed on the minifigs, and will never use the bridge sequence, but I think it looks awesome. The price isn't, but that's inconsequential since I missed out on the UCS Millenium Falcon worrying about the price.

Well they still have the Hogwarts set at $149.95 US so I doubt it. With all the pics and prices out now for the 10221 Super Star Destroyer, some will be devising strategies to buy it. At $399.99 US, we will most likely me looking at between $629.99 and $699.99, which was the range of the 10188 Death Star Playset when it first came out (started at $629.99 then jumped, ignoring the initial price error of below $350!) The case now is, do we hope a retailer picks it up and get it at a discount when a sale is on, or will it disappear quick like the UCS Falcon did with stores getting a very limited supply? Of course Bricklink is an option, but you will likely get slugged with a $125 shipping fee, and I really doubt B&N will get it.

Yep, they had the Millenium Falcon UCS, Death Star Playset and AT-OT.

*drool* I want Playset feature doesn't both me as it can be easilly ignored.

Well the 7666 set was, but you never know. I picked up 5 of them overseas for $60 each and can guarantee I will have no such luck with the latest release

Thanks for that. The main reason I am considering it, is because Toys R Us has a Buy 1 get 2nd 50% off with their Lego. Can you tell me a bit more about it? EDIT: Actually not much point. After looking last night, the site has been pillaged, with alot of stock now only able to be purchased in store :(

Is anyone doing any importing via another shipping company? There used to be a few people used, where you could send sets to and they would ship it forward? For the life of me I cannot remember who they are, but there are some interesting sales popping up in the US

Alot of Australians will either be waiting for sales, or buying internationally I think. Unlike BigW to have it priced like that, I am sure you will see it drop below RRP pretty quickly from them

It looks very good. As mentioned adding a splash of colour would break up all the grey a bit, but I love the detail on it! Well done
