  1. You do have to laugh at what some morons post. Thankfully they are in the minority, as nearly everyone is in awe of this achievement
  2. Those pics look great! Lego have really done a great job on nearly all the new minifigs this time around, the detail is sublime. The price point has already been mentioned, I too agree and will be hoping to pick it up online cheaper along the way
  3. Looks like Jango wasn't the only one to visit the Kaminoans
  4. It's around the mark. Bricklink prices for MISB start at $90 US
  5. I have this set sitting in a cupboard, it has been for nearly 2 years now. I want to build it, and looking at these great reviews makes me want to do so even more, but I simply don't have the space to store it anywhere. There is a strong temptation to get another, as surely they will soon be discontinued
  6. Agree with everything here. First up, great review. Always helps with seeing everything in a review whilst pondering a purchase. Onto the set itself, the minifigs are awesome but I don't have any interest in adding them to my collection. The ship though, is horrendous. Regardless of what it looks like in the CW, it looks horrible and I'm sure they could have found something else to make instead. And to add insult we have a great Savage but a squashed Maul
  7. The Kashyyyk clones are awesome, just a shame they are rare and expensive ($20 or so a pop on BL!)
  8. There will certainly be some awesome MOCS and dioramas come out. Prices for the past Echo Base set will probably jump more because people will want it for the add on, just a shame I sold my spare one earlier this year. The frigate is better than I thought looking at those pics. Before I definitely wasn't getting it, but now It has shifted to a possibility depending on price.
  9. An earlier post said TRU had it at $119 too, but I don't have a store here to confirm. Might go for a venture down to Target later this arvo and see what the go is
  10. Yes they are on S@H already, have been for a few days, as it was what started the price rants :) RRP of Millenium Falcon is $249.99 RRP Of Republic Frigate is $199.99 RRP Of Podracers set is $149.99 I'd be suprised if they are selling the latter two 25% off to start with, but Target have made mistakes before
  11. Simply stunning. Words do it no justice. Awesome work
  12. Purchased this week 1 x Imperial Shuttle 10212 2 x Battle for Naboo 7929 Via Bricklink 40 x Orange Bomb Squad Clones 40 x Sand Green Clones 21 x Snowtroopers
  13. Agreed. The main consensus seems to be that as an add on, it's fine, but something along the lines of the Endor set was what we were hoping for. The set just doesn't know where it belongs. The minifigs for the most part seem to be aimed at people buying a Hoth set for the first time, covering a range of key characters. However, the rest of the set looks like it needs to be added to the 7666 set.
  14. I honestly do not know what to think of this set. It's all over the place, reminding me of the Home One set which I never liked. The minifigs are neat enough, but this set doesn't scream out "Buy Me" right now. I will wait until we see more pics before making a final judgment, but thus far I think it is underwhelming
  15. And that's the thing, you can pay up to $70 for freight and still get an item here that is a minimum 10% cheaper than what the Aussie RRP is. Outer Rim, I appreciate your insight in the discussion. It's sad that Lego simply set those prices with no flexibility, but I guess in their eyes too we still purchase the Lego, whether it is an international purchase ir not
  16. Cheers. My clone army was last updated March last year I think, there are pics in this thread. I haven't really added anything to it since, however, reinforcements have been ordered to the tune of 40 bomb squad troopers and 40 sand green clones.
  17. It certainly doesn't encourage you to buy here. If the retailers have a good sale then I will pick something up, but more of my purchases are made internationally or on eBay. If the rrp was dropped by say 25% then I'm sure more sales would stay in Australia. S@H certainly doesn't give the great discounts they once did when getting rid of stock
  18. I had another dozen or so of each but no more plates to put them on
  19. Well it seems anything licensed now costs two arms and a leg. Even waiting for a decent sale doesn't make it worth it. Barnes and Noble will certainly be busy.
  20. OK, I have been meaning to do this for awhile, and it finally took my daughter having a sick day from school to do something about it. She saw Muttley's army and wanted to know if I had more. I sadly had to point out his army far exceeded my own. Still, she was happy to help me set them. The pics aren't the greatest, but I am sure you get the drift. Dooku summons Gunray to mobilise the droid army
  21. Catch of the Day's Lego specials today Lotso's Dump Truck 7789 $19.95 Atlantis 8077 $39.99 Atlantix 8078 $79.99 Star wars Slave 1 $69.99 World Racers Desert of Destruction $79.00 World Racers gator Swamp $34.95
  22. Even more interesting that they are on our S@H and not on the US version. Our prices are still horrific though for those piece counts, but I guess we are getting a heap of new minfigs :(
  23. I certainly wasn't looking at the Lego first :p Whilst that rendition looks gorgeous I would be very surprised if we got a UCS B-wing. I just don't think it would sell that well
  24. Usually there is a leak somewhere along the information line as well. I think the last one they kept almost as long as possible was the SW AT-OT set, which came as a suprise to nearly everyone. Wasn't long after they announced it that they S&H started taking preorders, if I remember rightly
  25. Catch of the Day had the SW Venator set for $99.00, but have since sold out Tomorrow they are having a "Massive Toy Sale, so "will have to keep an eye out in case any Lego pops up
