Buying LEGO from other countries on-line stores
TheDarkness replied to Siegfried's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
They've also seemingly adjusted their shipping prices, at least for Flash delivery. It is alot more expensive now. I'm dubious about using them for slow deliveries because their packaging can be rather poor at times, alot of my exterior boxes arrive torn. But it is awfully hard to refuse those deals -

It didn't last long, that's for sure. Only other sellers with the Mindstorms set there now -

Amazon won't charge until they ship, so you are at the mercy of the dollar fluctuations there. Some items don't make it back into stock properly, they stay at 3-5 weeks until the stock is exhausted. -

I only tossed out my two boxes yesterday after I let the kids have them! Are all of these from Amazon.fr? I tend to have one banged up box minimum from them usually, but I have found that happens across each of the 3 Amazon stores I have ordered from. -

I live in Alice Springs. No such thing as express shipping to here :p Takes longer to get here from customs, and it does to hit customs from an international depot. -

I just got an email from amazon saying my order had been slown down during shipping for whatever reason. It always gets slowed down once it hits customs here, but lately it has been getting worse. Couriered deliveries are pushing 10 days here now -

I'm not usually a fan of microscales, but this is one awesome piece of work that I love! Well done!

Oh it is far cheaper than that. Looking back, before shipping (and after tax was removed) a box was about 81 Euros. I bought 3 of them (still have one sealed) I added it in another order (I put figs in my daughters gift bags for her birthday guests so I needed a few) and it was less than $2 a fig in the end. Can't complain at that. -

My apologies, I thought it was still up. There is a listing at 77ish but it says its a bag, not a box, and the last thing is you wanting to be charged 77 euros for one minifig -

Amazon do sell them by the box. They still have series 5 up, but preorders dont seem to stay up long -

That's what I did with Series 5. I will just have to keep an eye out and hope the next two pop up again -

It is my preference that's for sure. Sometimes I use them as presents, or re-sell later on if I decide I don't need the set (or get the modulars for later), so I like the boxes to be in good condition. It takes longer to get here in the middle of Australia though once it hits customs, than it does to get to customs internationally. I picked up the bakery last week, am going to have a Christmas display. I should have included the toy shop in my last order, but I am sure I will order something else in the next week or so. Can't seem to help myself. I'm reorganising my cupboards today, got to find space for it all now. -

Ok my Emporiums and Unimogs arrived, so I decide to spend more money on Technic and Trains. Its scary that my focus is mainly on Star Wars yet I have bought hardly any of it lately. They had series 6 and 7 of thge minifigs on there but they disappeared, did anyone order them? I prefer to order a box than buy individual packets, its far cheaper for aussies anyway! -

TRADES WITH AUSTRALIANS ONLY PLEASE Hi I am late to the CMF scene. I have 3 complete Series 5 sets for trade, I am after any of the previous four series. Other spares I have from Series 5 4 x Royal Guards 4 x Boxers 1 x Cave Girl 1 x Gladiator 1 x Detective 1 x Fitness Instructor 2 x Zoo Keeper 2 x Dwarves 2 x Lizard Men 1 x Clown 1 x Lumberjack -

$249 for the Unimog isn't bad considering how new it is -

Ive never had any issues with that My orders are always sent with the fastest shipping, and usually get here in a week. They spend alot of time in customs in seems, usually spending a few days in Botany before moving on to here -

I pay for it in Euros. Once I found the conversion out by $40, so I check the conversion online now every time, but only once have chosen AU. I am scouring all Amazon sites for more bargains. I am addicted -

Yeah, my better half has been told there will be a heap of orders coming in. She could only shake her head With importing, we start getting hit with taxes once orders (including shipping) exceeds $1000 I believe. The good thing I have noticed with Amazon is when they split ship, the invoice if only for what is in that box, so the price reflects that. I try to ensure that I have less than $1000 of Lego coming in at any one time (even from different countries) because I have been told that you can potentially be charged tax for that. How much tax would you be charged for the Death Star? On current rates it is just over $400 AU (RRP is $699) so even with tax that should still be better than local rates? I am sorely tempted to order another, but I have 4, I am storing some for when they eventually are discontinued. I do hope Amazon get the Super Star Destroyer though -

I bought the Tower Bridge a couple of weeks ago at 199, but that is life. My main focus is Star Wars, but I have simply become addicted with various themes now with pricing so cheap. I am keeping some of the modular sets for myself, and spares for later. I do need to organise an up to date inventory of what I have though. But if I see its a bargain, I just tend to order it right now. Problem is there are so many bargains! Haha My Lego addiction is obscene right now. My family members love it though, they have been getting some awesome lego sets for birthdays (and will for xmas) due to such cheap pricing. That's if I don't open the sets myself first! My orders this week were for Diagon Alley, Grand Emporium, Unimog, Cargo Train and Farm set with me ordering a minimum of two of each. Christmas is basically done -

The Unimog price I listed before also doesn't have the tax removed. It occurs at the final checkout stage. The Tower Bridge is at 169.15 before tax removal This is why it makes the Death Star look so attractive, a nice chunk is removed in tax and puts the delivered price around the $400 mark Speaking of which, has anyone ordered (and received?) one yet? -

Sorry, I didn't mention that they remove the tax on that price as well Grand total for two delivered was about 232 euros Removal of tax took it to 105.18 euros apiece before freight -

I know Im like a kid in a candy store, and my credit card is doing an awful lot of crying right now The Grand Emporium is back to 125.80 euros, so I decided to order myself a couple. I always get express shipping, but even that puts them at a bit over $150 Australian apiece My cupboards will be exploding with lego soon!
