  1. It would be something like that narbilu. Looking at what they did with the Fellowship, there is no way they will put all the dwarves in one set. It makes people buy more this way!
  2. I arrived eagerly home from holidays yesterday to find some of my LOTR sets had arrived. Opening up the Weathertop set, I was excited. The set looks fantastic. Opening up the bags there are some interesting pieces and building methods used. The minifigs are awesome, Aragorn does need a cape though. He looks a bit bare without it. I also have 1 silver 1 grey bucklet on my two Nazgul Whilst the set itself is small, it really is gorgeous. The way the hinges make the curved outline give it an eroding style of look. I don't think much of the play elements (trapdoor, flick fire missiles?) but they aren't aimed at me and can easilly be rectified. Now my next task is to create a larger one! Thanks for a fantastic review!
  3. For those of you willing to brave Fishpond (I have had no issues, others have though) you can get the Death Star Playset for $499 delivered http://www.fishpond.com.au/Toys/LEGO-Star-Wars-10188-Death-Star-LEGO-Star-Wars/0673419130578
  4. Lego continue to amaze with their minifigs!  LOTR will send me broke and it has taken over as my favourite Lego theme! Cannot wait to see the sets that come with it, or the Hobbit movies themselves
  5. I have been in Adelaide for the past few days and it has been extremely difficult to not spend. I looked at getting that Tower Bridge but didn't think I'd have enough room in the car ( or adding another to the collection at home) I am already going to get crucified when my wife sees all my Lord Of The Rings orders. It was very hard to not load up on Orc Forge sets! Considering I only bought some baseplates I thought it was a fair effort. On a side note I was told that Target had completely sold out of R2-D2 sets. Not sure how reliable that is but I definitely haven't seen any at the Target stores I've visited since the sales started.
  6. Thanks for these combos. I get back from holidays tomorrow and I have 4 large boxes of Lego to open. Battle pack mania :) Cannot wait to start building a Uruk army to invade Helm's Deep!
  7. Absolutely fantastic! The depth is amazing
  8. I don't think you need your card when you purchase at Myers. I have usually just had them ring and get my Myer One membership number and haven't had any issues getting the discount
  9. It looks ok. The angle doesn't do it any favors. It looks too busy though and Weathertop looks almost hidden.
  10. Haha once she said it was sold to me pending pickup, I was collecting very quickly. The picture was the opened Market Street box, but in the description it said Green Grocer. Either way I was getting it. My wife was the one who found it so she is definitely in the good books. Our local Facebook page gets like that a little, but people are quick to try shoot it down. Most people on it would be questioning why someone would pay $80 for Lego! And I think I will respectfully decline your offer
  11. Picked up a second hand Market Street 10190 for $80, all pieces there even the extra ones!!!
  12. Someone was listing it on our local Facebook sales page. Was only displayed once and the instructions are in very good condition. Someone offered $60 for it, the chick would have taken $70 lowest but since she was advertising it at $80 and as I knew I was getting an absolute steal then paying that extra $10 wasn't a big deal. Counting out pieces now and am very happy! EDIT: All pieces accounted for. Very very happy!
  13. They did it to some Australians too. Someone simply reordered it and it went through!
  14. Just picked up a second hand Market Street 10190 for $80. Am sorting out the pieces now with a HUGE smile on my face
  15. Excellent review for an excellent set. A nice army building set with extra features for a fairly decent US Price (not so much for elsewhere!) Can't wait until my sets start arriving to build my army!
  16. No, well not since I have been buying from them. They may have stocked the initial ones once upon a time, but I doubt it. As from the LOTR thread there is a 15% coupon 15% off Non-Member Codes: T4T8J4A, X4P8A3B, T4T8J4A, D7L8F8R (VISA) You can get 20% off if you pay to be a member, but I am not sure if this is exclusive to some countries or not.
  17. And for something totally unsuprising, I cannot alter my order to capitalise It is still alot cheaper than getting them here in Australia, though resisting the want to buy more is difficult
  18. I don't think anything should be changed, it looks fantastic!
  19. I forgot the Moria set I did only order one (the discount didn't seem as generous for that set) but will see how I go later because I want to build a bigger Moria diorama
  20. If you ever find a cure for that, let me know And to think I told myself I wasn't going to go silly on Lord of the Rings So far I have ordered 2 x Helm's Deep 5 x Weathertop 1 x Shelob 5 x Orc Forge 15 x Uruk-hai army
  21. Barnes and Noble have added Lord of the Rings Uruk-hai Army 9471, Gandalf Arrives 9469 and Shelob Attacks 9470 for those placing LOTR orders. Just had to place another order with a heap of 9471 sets headed my way. My credit card is again crying!
  22. The set looks fantastic and the more I look at it, the more I want it. Very hard to resist considering I initially had no interest in the theme at all. There are similarities between the houses, and differences. Not enough to convince me the idea was ripped off. There may have been some inspiration from somewhere else or it might be coincidental but either way, it is an awesome set and I am glad we have an opportunity to buy it!
  23. I love all the different licenses right now. Yes I want some of everything, and I am struggling to keep up, but the stuff coming out is awesome. The licenses helped make my kids more interested in it, and now they do alot more building of their own accord. They want to make their own Batmobile to chase down Two-Face, or whatever else they come up with. It is great.
  24. Big, big, big, LIKE!  Cannot wait to see more!
