  1. The Exclusive Hulk minifig is again available at S@H if you spend over $45 on merchandise
  2. It will be really interesting to see how that goes. The site is really slow, but has some excellent prices.
  3. Looking over Amazon.com and alot of the sets they used to ship to Australia now won't. Suprisingly though, they ship the 10212 Star Wars Imperial Shuttle UCS. The freight is a mere $28 US for their standard delivery, so you can get the set delivered for $288.02 US, far better than our $449 AU RRP!
  4. Have to add this one in there. Seller from Hong Kong selling Grand Emporiums for $75 Australian http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LEGO-10211-GRAND-EMPORIUM-NEW-FACTORY-SEALED-NIB-HARD-FIND-/110925075036?pt=AU_LEGO&hash=item19d3a6525c Some people are going to be crying
  5. Barnes and Noble have some of the new Star Wars Lego sets for those interested
  6. The only difference is the no. of pieces. It is the same amount as the Volkswagen so I am assuming that is where the error came from
  7. LOL. I had 5 sets with that error. So much for that! I got them overseas. We don't get the piece count usually on our boxes in Australia :)
  8. Hi guys, seeing if anyone can help. I purchased a few 10218 sets, however the number of pieces listed says 1332 on the box. I haven't been able to find any info, but was there a batch of misprinted boxes come out? I am assuming all the pieces are in there and it is just an error? Cheers
  9. Rule no. 1 of eBay. If it looks too good to be true, it is.
  10. It is such a shame we won't see another Nolan made Batman film. TDKR went for a little too long, but by the conclusion I wanted to see how it ended so badly yet didn't want it to stop.
  11. It isn't a good army builder at all. I am saving it for when I create a Orthanc setup :) And yes, it is disappointing that the White Hand isn't on all the Uruk armour across the theme!
  12. Wow that is very cool! Definitely not what I expected but I love it  Well done!
  13. Just beautiful
  14. They have the Batcave for 35% off too, its under $85
  15. And what scale are you trying to make it?
  16. Who do they think they are kidding? Considering the Mini Modulars are only available at S@H where we pay high shipping costs, that isn't bad
  17. I gave Theoden the red cape as it looked more royal. And Eomer didn't have a cape in the Rohirrim charge at all I don't believe. When I eventually set it up, I will have different parts of the movies integrated through the diorama. It all won't be one big scene :)
  18. Don't worry, I know which direction they are supposed to be coming from I was trying to determine how eventually I can have an elevated area to the left, with Gandalf the White on Shadowfax looking down, should they release it in minifig form.
  19. Exactly. With so many smaller minifigs required, this was a perfect opportunity
  20. Amazon.it have dropped the Tower Bridge down to 152 euros and the Midievel Village to 71.80. Such a shame they wont ship it to Australia :(
  21. I've cut back on my other themes to an extent. Or maybe it is just that I have so many of the ones I want already. I'm only missing the small sets from Avengers and Batman, other than the Quinjet. My Star Wars purchases have been cut right back as there isn't much out I like. I was heavilly into the Modulars collecting wise, but never built them. If I get some space I might look at it, but LOTR is my main interest now. I avoided the Gandalf arrives set because here it is overpriced but by the time I pay for shipping overseas, the savings I get would be minor. So I am just holding off until it is heavilly discounted here. I also forgot to include my second sealed Helm's Deep set :)
  22. I couldn't honestly tell you, but I suspect it is 5. I had all the parts from 15 Uruk-hai sets in a box. It was made more difficult by not using the green sections as it went higher. Looking at pics of Helm's Deep, the bulge is further towards the Keep anyway, so if the right hand wall is obscure then I will use the green bricks and hide them that way. And I imagine it will take alot more than 15 Uruk-hai sets!
  23. I looked at that, but part of the previous discussion involved that thread being about what armies can be created with the various parts currently available. As for my army so far I have 1 x Helm's Deep 15 x Uruk-hai Army 5 x Orc Force If we go further, I have 1 x Shelob Attacks 5 x Weathertop I am supposed to have a Moria set but I suspect it has disappeared in the mail. 3rd parcel go missing from Barnes and Noble this year, I won't be using them again! And SheepEater, it is Aragorn's quote when discussing the army with Theoden. Saruman says "There will be no dan for men" :)
  24. Ignoring my own army building aspirations aside, I really am not sure how generic Uruks, Rohirrim or Elves will sell. The majority of buyers I think for them would be army builders. Look at the cheaper LOTR Lego sets, it isn't like Frodo or Sam really had big fight scenes with the Uruks. Gandalf the Grey is a little different but only he had the Moria battle with Moria orcs. You could use Eomer on the horse or the Rohan soldier, but you get figures in that cheaper pack. Then you get to Aragorn in the Weathertop set but he has the Nazgul to fight. Move further on pricewise and you get Boromir, Legolas and Gimli in the Moria set. The cheaper sets, other than Gandalf and to an extent Eomer on the horse, do not really give you a hero to fight with and once you get further up the sets come with enemies to battle. I can definitely see why Lego did the Frodo polybag. He is the central figure really behind everything. By putting him in they won't be cutting themselves out of sales of larger sets, which is why they spread the Fellowship minifigs across their range. Personally, I would prefer army builders but Lego's main consumers are children. How many children will end up with the complete LOTR line? Not that many I imagine.
