Wait, so, the villains in Ultra Agents were, uh... Created by the moonstones? What?

The town builder looks cool. Brings back some nostalgia for LEGO Loco.

jamesster replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Nice pics. The Space Miner is definitely my favorite so far. What's with the "LICHO" text on his belt though?- 1,109 replies

More closed beta invites were sent out today, so far three people I know have gotten one, check your email. Also be aware that they might be in the spam folder.

I once got a Series 5 Royal Guard who was missing his gun. It's not unheard of, though still quite rare.

A teaser trailer thingy! If the actual movie has the same self-parodying sense of humor as this teaser, I'm sold. (Thanks to Vector C. for showing this to me)

Downloaded the script on Write To Reel, and it is indeed the same PDF as the one on Screenplay DB. Edit: A friend of mine (ProfessorBrickkeeper, dunno if he's on Eurobricks or not) just found some concept art of the movie that matches the script: http://eca-la.com/blog/7/2/2014/some-of-my-art-from-the-lego-movie Specifically, this concept art of the Octan/Empura tower situated in a volcano:

Found a review of the screenplay, confirming it's from 2010: http://scriptshadow.net/screenplay-review-the-lego-movie/ Also just finished reading the screenplay for myself. Wow, that was really quite something. Different enough from the final movie that I actually found myself envisioning things completely different from what the final movie ended up looking like, it was really surreal.

http://www.simplyscripts.com/2014/03/15/the-lego-movie-script/ http://www.screenplaydb.com/film/scripts/lego.pdf Whoa. Is this seriously legit? It certainly fits the early descriptions we heard of the movie, with Emmet being a descendant of these ancient Master Builder people (http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/03/14/lord-miller-talk-lego-movie), and the title being "LEGO: The Piece of Resistance" (http://www.slashfilm.com/phil-lord-chris-miller-offer-title-plot-details-warner-bros-lego-movie/). There's also this: http://writetoreel.com/forum/showthread.php?4895-REQUEST-quot-The-Lego-Movie-quot-(2014)-script&p=18486&viewfull=1#post18486 I've signed up for the forum but my account isn't approved yet so I can't download the file, but it's the same size as the one previously linked to. So unless it's something different that just happens to be the same size, that would date this draft to September 27, 2010 (the movie started development in 2008). Here's an analysis of it: http://www.filmdivider.com/the-lego-movie-we-didnt-see-with-indiana-jones-harry-potter-and-a-love-of-kubrick/

It's Hellbent Games doing this, not Traveller's Tales or TT Fusion, and their previous three LEGO games have all been quite different than TT's formula(s). At the very least, I'm glad to see Hellbent Games continuing to work with LEGO as it means there's a possibility of getting even more unique games from them in the future. As for this game - I'm not sure if it's possible (or at least a good idea) to judge the entirety of the gameplay from so few screenshots. I'll wait to see it in action before ranting or raving. I did enjoy the LEGO Battles games, but I'm not sure if I'd want another one if it would be a handheld exclusive again, and Hellbent Games seems to be sticking to handheld exclusives when it comes to LEGO stuff. I'd like to see another LEGO RTS, but for more technically capable systems (PC, maybe consoles). Preferably with modding support to extend the life of the game, if the revival of Rock Raiders for PC through modding is anything to go by. And how about a modernized LEGO racing game of some sort? Ah, but I'm dreaming again.

LEGO Minifigures series 12 will not be available until Oct 2014
jamesster replied to JeagerEX's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Clarification time! Series 12 and up are standard, except they will also include unique codes to enter into LEGO Minifigures Online to unlock that minifigure instantly. Funcom, the developers of LEGO Minifigures Online, are also working with LEGO to develop new series. There is no separate "MMO series", and this isn't just a random tie-in to some new MMO; the LEGO Minifigures Online is based directly on the core Minifigures theme, and the Minifigures theme is simply being tied into the MMO from here on out. LEGO/Funcom's plan is to continually update the game with the latest Minifigures series, and the latest Minifigures series will all contain codes to unlock the minifigures in-game. It's that simple. The MMO also features minifigures from the previous 11 series. Carry on. -
You sure? Pretty sure I saw an NXT sound sensor attached to the laser in the melting chamber.

Wasn't this launched in 2012? I remember building stuff on it at least a year ago... http://www.gizmag.com/google-lego-build-with-chrome/23098/ http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2012-06/26/build-with-chrome-lego

I've already read the spoilers from the novel elsewhere, but just so you guys know, spoiler tags don't work in topic reply notification emails. It just shows what's in them.

My judgement shall await more finalized pictures of bigger sets. Impulse sized sets like that can't really give you a good idea of what a theme is like, and the minifigures in these early pics are almost always placeholders made from existing pieces. Still, it's something.

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
