  1. It makes perfect sense actually. It makes my role all the more difficult.
  2. Just because everything you've seen thus far has been vanilla doesn't mean the entire game is vanilla. Also, my role isn't necessarily "Werewolf." That is my faction/allegiance/whatever you want to call it. I specifically stated that I am a Survivor. Additionally, don't defer to the mafiascum wiki for all of your information on roles and mafia for Eurobricks games. There are many differences between standard mafia and mafia that we play here. It was an unspoken rule in earlier games that the mafiawiki was to be seen as not representative of games on these forums. That's been ignored recently and it's a shame that the first thing people do is run to the wiki rather than look back for evidence in past games. The role of survivor is also traditionally a rather easy one. If you lay low and are just active enough to not rouse suspicion, you'll be fine and able to coast right on through. I suppose our host wanted to make the role a little bit harder. As I stated, there's been evidence of this in past games and in one of my own games. I obviously didn't know about it, but I still didn't want to be investigated. Being investigated as a third party still would've been just as bad for me, since I'm sure you would've lynched me today anyway. As for Alyssa being the serial killer, I'm afraid you'll just have to trust me on that one. Oh, what, you don't find people dying at night disconcerting? Psycho. Call it what you will, but I know I am 100% correct that Alyssa is the Serial Killer. Or at least 90%.
  3. There will be no villainous monologue because I actually want to help the town out. I am not out to destroy it as it might seem. Friends, I have a confession to make. I am in fact not a loyal Agent of Shield after all. However, I am not a member of HYDRA either. I am a Werewolf. It was included in my role description for a reason; to make my survival that much harder. While I am a neutral third party, I am not the Serial Killer. I'm a survivor. It's a rather desperate claim, I know, but I make it only because I never win any of these games and I finally wanted to win one now that I had a role that would let me coast to the end. The Survivor role is designed to be difficult to survive, which is probably why I was investigated as HYDRA and not as a neutral third party. I was hoping I wouldn't be investigated, because it would've made my role that much easier, but it wasn't meant to be. If you're looking for historical evidence, I can point to one of my own past games, Excalibur Mafia. CallMePie was a survivor then and his win condition was to survive until the end. I would've had his result come back as scum in order to make his role more difficult, but he was never investigated and he was night killed instead. Here's a wild and crazy thought, let's vote for the Serial Killer, who is clearly not out to help the town, as evidenced by the fact that she killed a loyal townie last night. The Serial Killer's win objective is to be the last person standing. Don't forget this. Vote: Alyssa Turner (CallMePie) When I mentioned my getaway, it's because I will ultimately turn into a werewolf upon death and flee the carrier. I will lose all the same though, which sucks. Please friends, I know I have been quiet, but it's because I've been trying to survive. I am not out to kill any of you or bring harm to SHIELD, I'm just trying to survive this game...of life and make it to the end. You might see it as a pathetic plea of a man who is one foot in the grave and is rapidly losing his balance, but I am telling the truth and I hope you will believe me. I can be an asset to the town, mostly because I know things. After all, how do you think I found out who the serial killer is? I'm asking that you unvote me, even if it is only temporarily, so I can continue to try to prove my innocence. If you're not satisfied, you can vote for me again. There is still plenty of time left in the day, after all. Question me all you like, I am ready to answer anything you throw at me.
  4. Jokes on you, I've already planned my getaway escape. I'll wait until the conclusion of the day though, then I'm out of here!
  5. Oh yeah? Well, I vehemently reject the notion that I'm scum, if that counts for anything.
  6. What do you mean? I think you're trying to make something of nothing. People are dying at night and people used to not die at night. I find that to be random.
  7. I don't see how that would make me feel disconcerted, my friend. It makes me feel ashamed, yes, but unsettled? Not exactly.
  8. Judging by how yesterday was a public claim bonanza for whatever reason, I think that a lot of the power roles have been outed, which is quite frankly crazy. Hey, next time you guys get power roles, keep them to yourselves, alright? At least until the investigator has cleared people and you can claim to them and it's time to start up a block, then you can tell other people. Just not in public. Wait a second, what's a power role? These last few days have been crazy. Why has Director Dick been just executing people randomly? Why are people dying randomly at night? I thought we're supposed to have security. What, has the helicarrier been manned by all of us all this time? Is everyone else on leave? Why are there Hydra agents here? Don't they know better than to try to attack us aboard our own base of operations? This is all very disconcerting to me.
  9. Unvote: Dick Fury (Host) Vote: David Leffel (fhomess) Let's try this again, after I was denied earlier today.
  10. Oops. Hey, you edited your post. Vote: Nick Fury (post-editor)
  11. Aroooooooooo! What the hell is going on in this game? Why are people claiming so much and so early? Especially in public. You people are insane in the membrane. Freakin' Eugene. I knew I was right calling him an idiot for editing his post on day one. Guess that's one example of where we can feel bad for not taking the easy route and lynching the guy with penalty votes. I doubt we have two trackers, so one of them is lying. There is a possibility that both of them are scum and both of them are trying out some next level play on you, but it's extremely risky for a scum to do, so one of them has to be a scum and has been caught in a classic counterclaim. What a knucklehead. If Jafar was investigated as town by you, it's reasonable to assume then that David is lying and therefore he is scum. Unless Jafar is the godfather, but even if he was, it'd be risky since godfathers don't usually have the tracking ability. He could have received the result from the actual scum blocker though. I'm willing to bet at this juncture that David is scum because Jafar was investigated as town. Tell us please! I want to see if I'm right. I'm usually never right with these games...of life. Except for the times where I've guessed the entire scum team. Wait, what am I talking about? This has never happened before. I'm James Cunningham, I've never played mafia before. I have played werewolf with friends before. Oh, I didn't mean to say werewolf. I'm not a werewolf! I think I need to check into the infirmary. Historically in most games the serial killer needs to be the last guy standing, so while our win conditions don't require his death, their win conditions probably require all of ours. Oh, shit, I was right. Goddamn I'm good. Vote: David Leffel (fhomess) Lynch him high!
  12. Once again we'd waited until the very last second and we're probably going to end without a majority vote. Vote: Steven Schram (Khscarymovie4) I think we need a lynch. His suspicious behavior yesterday and his lack of participation today haven't convinced me that he's A) Useful or B) Town Arrrooooooo!
  13. Awooooooo! That's a terrible idea. Worst I ever heard. What if they protected a scummy last night? What do you expect the doctor to say? "Oh, hey, I didn't protect you last night or anything, but let's have a chat." Especially after you just announced in thread that doing so is a sound and logical idea. It'd be mighty suspicious, you know. Hey, protector, don't do this. It's a really bad idea. Keep it to yourself until the investigator starts setting up a block.
  14. Arooooooooo! It's been quite the Day One! Vote: Steven Schram (Khscarymovie4) This and plus his quick unvote afterwards and pledge to not vote for someone until he's absolutely sure he's found a scum makes me highly suspicious. It could be seen like I'm picking on the new guy, but that unvote makes me think that someone behind the scenes told him to unvote and try to brush it off. As always, if something else comes up, I'd be willing to change my vote. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must check the lunar calendar.
  15. Aroooooo! Freakin' Plot Device. I knew that guy was bad news. I could smell it. Hey Eugene, put your name in your signature so I can call you an idiot for editing your post without having to go and look at the roster. That's stupid. You're an idiot too, Daniel. It was hard to see who you are this game because you've got all your old roles in your signature too. Nick Fury wouldn't make it that obvious. Hm. This is a slightly more intelligent post, so I won't call you an idiot because it's a possibility. Any one of us could be scum. You could be scum. I think you're scum.
  16. Awoooo! Uh, I mean, Hi! James Cunningham here!
  17. 1) Have you played a Mafia game on Eurobricks before? If not, what steps have you taken to make sure you understand the game? - I've never played a game before, but it looks interesting. 2) Will you be able to actively participate over the next 1-2 months or however long this mess goes on? - Yes 3) What is your favorite MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) film - Captain America: Winter Soldier
  18. Really good game, and congrats to the winners! It's very un-fantastic that I died though. It's rather interesting that Lieutenant Joshua shows up in this game. It was CallMePie's strange neutral-investigator role that looked good in theory, but in practice... Also, there just might be another entry into the Excalibur franchise rather soon...
  19. Vote: Lusk Eccleston (fhomess) I'm not so sold on the Ewan lynch, sadly! I've been suspect of Lusk for quite some time now. He's been quiet, which means he's either scum or just useless to us. Elijah is also quiet too. It's disconcerting, I think. It'll be interesting to see if Lusk speaks up now that I've voted for him. It's a bit late in the game for a poke or a nudge, but I'm doing it anyway! Fantastic! As for Ewan, I don't know. He's been quiet for awhile like Lusk, which in itself is suspect to me. It might be too late, but I'm voting for someone else. Excellent! We started this journey with 17 people and we've rooted out two Shadows. There could be two or three more and then a potential third party faction of sorts. The rules don't say anything about a neutral, mind you, but it does mention that the Town and Shadows must outnumber all enemy factions.
  20. Another fabulous morning! We've caught another Shadow! Splendid! I happen to not be scum, thank you. I can't speak for the other three, although I'm fairly certain that Ewan and potentially Lusk are scum. You might be as well, sir! Where is everyone, by the way? We shouldn't eagerly await for the results from the town block. The rest of us need to work on our own to try and root out the scum.
  21. Splendid! It's marvelous that our investigator was right about Anthony. It would seem the town block is coalescing perfectly! Anthony's silence and actions at the end of the day pretty much confirmed it, of course, but it's good to have the official results! I'll admit that I'm surprised about Mike. He was on my scum list, I must say. The bizarre personal messages he exchanged with Anthony towards the end of Day Two really made me suspicious, but I suppose he was telling the truth. Unless he really is a reverse death miller Godfather!
  22. Suspicious is what I mean by sinister. The way he posted it seemed as though he was subtly questioning the logic of Foorth's ping while not coming out and saying it fully.
  23. Vote: Anthony Dixon (jluck) Splendid! An interesting "you voted for me, so now I'll vote for you!" vote. Fantastic, my friend! I believe I stated my reasoning as to why I voted for you yesterday. I found it interesting that it appeared you were questioning Foorth's ping. Potential sinister undertones would be you trying to question the logic of why he was sending out a ping. I'm afraid your behavior since and still has done nothing to alleviate my suspicion of you Am I not allowed to suspect you for whatever reasons I see fit? If I said that I didn't like your hair, your smile, your shirt, or your acting abilities (I don't), that would be a baseless and inappropriate accusation. However, me finding your actions on Day One suspicious isn't a baseless suspicion that I'm "stubbornly holding on to." I've struck a nerve and it's still bothering you. I find it very interesting that Anthony went around PMing everyone about Julia and I's unvote yesterday, yet only mine has resonated with you still. It also seems to have remained in Dink's mind as well. Sinister collusion, perhaps? I think so!
  24. Sorry if I still hold on to my suspicion of you. Calm yourself, friend. It'll be fantastic!
  25. Oh yes, because all early Day One votes are completely airtight cases that are founded upon fantastic evidence. Why haven't you called out any other early Day One votes? Anthony voted for Elijah just for laughs. You don't find that suspicious? Are you just calling out my votes because I'm the one who went after you? Did I perhaps strike a nerve? Excellent!
