Farmer Alan pushes the rug back over Laura's remains, preferring the age old saying "Out of Sight, Out of Mind." "I can perhaps try to identify her if we go to the hospital. I believe we still have her dental records there, if I'm not mistaken." Nurse Parker says. There are not. "Shall we move on to the hospital? These two are the only hills out here." Mayor Bradford says. "Where is Director Hoffman?" Dolores asks. He's no longer with the group.

I sense a Battle Royale...Especially if there's mayhem involved.

"We buried an empty casket to give us closure." Patrick says. "Her body was stolen from the morgue." "If I remember, Senator Jefferson was out of town at the time, so I wasn't able to deliver the message." Dolores says. It is not Laura's locket. It does have the same amount of rust as the bike. The Jefferson House, Jenkins House, and Simmons Farm are all over the hills.

Hi. This is my favorite set: Wait...that's an MOC... Oh, that's definitely better. I like hospitals. Maybe since you're hosting I won't get screwed over again! Oh, you need proper usage of other things too... You're - You are, a person or thing doing an objective. Your - Possessive case of an object. Their - Belonging to a person. They're - More than one person, doing an objective There - In or at a place. Too - as well as Two - one plus one To - A preposition, stating where someone should go. Example: You're going to the market. There, you will find two loaves of bread, that are too delicious to be described in words. They're going to be joining you at the market, so lead them back to your car so you can drive them home. Their car is in the shop, so good luck.

Can a scumbag be Strawberry Shortcake? It's such a nice and sweet treat, that it's not usually associated with scum.

I'm sure you could find them at the Town Hall Records Office, or in the Police Station. Stevie then picks up his mother's skull, and plays a sick twisted version of Hamlet. However, there's nothing strange. "No, she wasn't. I've never heard of a Laura Jefferson." Opening the locket has the picture torn out, as there's a small fragment where the picture should be, but engraved is "My love forever."
-
This isn't Dolores' bike, this is Laura's bike. The now deceased Doctor Geller filed the report. He was having memory problems, and couldn't remember what happened.

The corpse is a female. The note is a preliminary autopsy report: Subject: Laura Jefferson Date Of Death: 04/12/47 Noticeable Marks: Blunt Force Tramua to the head. Possible Cause of Death: Blunt Force Trauma Notes: Will know more when full autopsy is completed in one weeks upon my return. Last autopsy, as I retire when I return home.

Examining the rug, it appears to be about four years old. "I believe I saw that once in the Department Store a few years ago." Dieter says. There's a grim sight behind it.. "Ahhhh!" Patrick screams. There's a note on the body. Patrick then goes to look inside the tree stump, but it's empty. "That's my moms bike. We were looking for that." Stevie says. It's considerably rusted, but there's evidence of blood on both handlebars. There's nothing really in the foliage, or around it either. Buried under the tree stump, however, is a simple locket. Dolores as well searches the foliage, but cannot find anything interesting either. Will looks in the grass, and steps on Dolores' foot. He cannot find anything suspicious though. Dolores shoves the bumbling councilman out of the way, and continues searching the foliage. Stevie climbs up, but cannot see anything that isn't noticeable from the ground.

I tried making up a lame fake role, but it was to no avail. Somehow I figured I was cooked when Hinckley approached me saying "I was followed." Oh well...

"He can't shoot me, at least not yet. I'm in charge of Project Wolf, without me the other people working on the Project wouldn't side with Stanley." "Not that I know of." Howard did not write the note about the gold for Ackerson, nor did he write the note about the box to the Soviet Union with Harrison's badge. Moving on to the next hill... What part would you like to search?
-
Most of the notes, the only note he didn't write is the one found in the locker at the Fire Brigade. Would everyone like to move on to the next hill?

Red Scare Mystery -Confirmation and Discussion

I've returned home. It's very sad, my relative did indeed pass away on Monday, which explains my absences. However, she is in a better place now than in the hospital she frequented so often. Posting should be on a normal schedule now. Also, the Building Contest Entries are due before the start of Chapter 13. Chapter 13 is also known as "When the Fecal Matter hits the Proverbial Fan" Good luck! -
Farmer Alan takes a bullet. "Take it to the morgue? For what? We don't have a coroner anymore, plus we shouldn't bother." Hoffman says. James takes a bullet. Howard did indeed write all of the notes that the party has found. "General Stanley murdered Howard this morning in a psychotic rage after detaining the Congressman. He, unfortunately, doesn't remember any of it. I've worked with Stanley for twelve years, I should know his behavior." Hoffman says. Gloria takes a bullet.

There are a few hills around you, as well as some bushes and leaves. Examining the body, this man was indeed killed by the gun at his feet. "I don't know. I'm sure we all know the phrase, "Absolute Power corrupts Absolutely." General Stanley was granted to use any means necessary to evacuate Project Wolf. He took this too far it would see. I don't know why he's mad at the CIA, and this is Howard's gun. The apple is my lunch, I dropped it in surprise. Also, the lab is still undergoing evacuations. Jessica you say? Oh, yes she's still here. She's in the lab evacuating it." Searching the body for an ID, there is one found in his pocket. His name is Jack Howard, CIA Operative with Top Secret Clearance. He does have notes, but they're very vague. For example; "Watch the Hills" and "The Lighthouse". "Jack Howard was the man who came ashore that first day, his craft was damaged in the storm, however. That's what made the huge mess in the water." It's quite impossible to test that out without proper ballistics tests, as Howard's gun is quite popular. Being the most responsible person here, Captain Garrison takes the gun, and holds onto it for safe keeping. "I'm not comfortable going behind the General's back like this, perhaps we should tell him we're here." Garrison says. "Absolutely not!" Hoffman says. "If he hears that Howard is dead, then he'll likely end up being worse than he is now." Officer Harrison rudely grabs the gun from Captain Garrison. Stevie takes the apple. "That's my lunch..." Director Hoffman says. "And I like looking stylish." "I cannot divulge any information about Project Wolf, I am sorry." Officer Harrison checks the gun for blood and fingerprints, but can't find any. He then takes the gun, and unloads it, and gives the empty gun to Chief Fields. Captain Garrison, then hearing the question about shooting Stanley, takes the empty gun from Fields. "I come from Washington, D.C., but I usually work here." Hoffman says. "Wait, instead of Officer Harrison having the bullets, why don't we split them up amongst ourselves?" Mayor Bradford suggests. "We need five people to hold one bullet each." Harrison says.
-
The notes do not match. The note from the roof matches only the box that had Officer Harrison's badge on it. The other notes found don't match the people who volunteered their handwriting. The group decides to head for the hills. Arriving at one hill, they're greeted by this: "Thank you for coming, my name is Director Alan Hoffman, I am in charge of Project Wolf. The man you see here is CIA Agent Jack Howard, he was killed by General Stanley, who has gone mad with power. I cannot defeat him alone, these hills hide many secrets, there are a few here as well." Director Hoffman joins your party!
-
General Stanley isn't here, but they are within the security perimeter. In the port is a warehouse and a few docks, as well as a plethora of crates. The Jefferson, Jenkins, and Simmons Farm.

Red Scare Mystery -Confirmation and Discussion

Sorry for the delay, but these last few days have been hectic. However, posting should continue regularly. -
Farmer Alan's handwriting does not match either. It's decided to go to the Lakota, the townspeople leave the apartment building but as they exit the building, there's a note on the tile. "For your answers, go to the hills." the note says. "But, watch for General Stanley." Captain Garrison looks uneasy, but decides to follow out of curiosity.
-
None of the people above match the handwriting on the note. Also, the gold and money did come from the attic. "Stanley isn't here." Bradford says.
-
"I'm sorry, but I can't even explain that note." Ackerson says. The note is indeed handwritten. "Soon." Captain Garrison says. Mayor Bradford's handwriting doesn't match the one from the note. If you want everyone in the group to do so, you'll need to have each of them say so. There's U.S. Currency, coins, and gold bars. There's also a few jewels and other jewelry. The gold is unmarked. A rough estimation puts the total somewhere at six hundred thousand dollars.

The silence was pierced by two gunshots ringing out, hitting Inspector Liebenston / Dragonator in the chest. "Someone call a medic!" Chief Fields says. Elsewhere, another gunshot rings out, hitting Captain Harding / CaptJohnPaul "Agh!" he says. He falls into Frankie's arms, and quickly whispers something into his ear. He then falls out of his arms, as Frankie rushes to catch him. He slams into the ground, a sickening crunch is heard. Frankie begins to cry, but quickly regains his composure as a tough crewman. Meanwhile, the National Guard have arrived with a stretcher for Inspector Liebenston. "It's a good thing he was wearing this vest." one of the medics comment. They lead him away. Chief Fields notices something in the boxes of money, a note. "We must have missed this before." he says. It says: "For Councilman Ackerson, thanks for your support in the town council." A few eyes move to Councilman Ackerson. "Where should we go now?" Mayor Bradford asks. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Characters: Government Workers Ian Bradford (Mayor) played by Walter Kovacs Will Ackerson (Town Councilman) played by iamded Alan Cain (Judge) played by JCC1004 Tim Fields (Police Officer) played by CallMePie Louis Harrison (Police Officer) played by Brickme --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Working Class Dieter Schneider (Chef) played by Shadows Patrick Jefferson (Lawyer) Played by Professor Flitwick James Falzone (Dock Worker) played by CorneliusMurdock Julie “Princess” Parker (Nurse) played by The Crazy One Alan Simmons (Farmer) played by Fugazi -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Dolores Jefferson (Housewife) played by Def Gloria Jefferson (Student) played by Admiral Ron Stevie Jefferson (Student) played by Legonater Ralph Jenkins (Retired Salesman) played by Cralegoboy Matt Liebenston (HUAC Investigator) Played by Dragonator ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Arrivals Frankie Daly (Deckhand) Played by Captain Genero Maxwell Touns (Congressional Aide) Played by Mrlegoninja Captain Pete Garrison (National Guard Captain) Played by Lord Arjay Krista Halle (Farmer) Played by Peanuts Deceased Valerie Jenkins (Housewife) played by Sok117 Jackie Harding (Ted's Wife) Played by Captain Becker Simon Lloyd (Doctor) played by Burman Ted Harding (Captain of the Lakota) Played by Capt.JohnPaul Voted Out Ryan Phelps (Police Chief) played by JimButcher Rules: (Borrowed partly from Dragonator’s Mystery Manor) 1. There are 18 participants. If you commit to the game you are committing to contributing to the story and sticking with it to the end. I am trusting you all not to drop out halfway through, as that is never any fun. 2. You must search for clues. This means that an action must be specified. For example, you wish to search a room for hidden objects. The following is an example of how not to go about this: "I wish to look for suspicious or hidden objects in this room". Instead, you must be able to specify what you want to do. For example: "I would like to open the drawers of the cabinet." It is not required for you to specify exactly what you are doing and what you are looking for, but a generalized statement will not find you anything. Act like a detective and you will be fine. 3. This game is meant to be fun, so enjoy yourselves! 4. Please be patient with me between chapters, I will try to put up the chapter topics as quickly as possible, but, this might not be so all the time. 5. Please try to avoid editing your posts, as it can lead to suspicion against you. Just consider what you want to say before you say it, and you'll be fine. 6. Please remember that this is the early 1950’s. No iPods, digital cameras, cell phones, printers, computers, fax machines, or otherwise. No events past the current date either, or else people will view you as insane. 7. I won’t keep you in a certain room if you don’t want me too. You’ll always have the option of backtracking or researching the same place. 8. The host is usually always right. If you think I’ve made an error, then please discuss this in the discussion thread or feel free to PM me. 9. Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning. A second failure will result in the death of your character. 10. Remember that although a chapter has ended, that doesn’t mean that the day has concluded, and night actions can be used. 10b. There are also chapter actions. Those of you with chapter actions have the ability to use them at the end of each chapter. 11. No Metagaming please. Also, don’t base suspicions on how the person looks. Rules may be added or deleted as the game goes on based on game play. 12. This is the 1950’s, the middle of the Cold War. You’re under constant worry of potential nuclear Armageddon, so act like it. The Communists are your enemies in this game, don’t forget that. Also, anytime historical facts from the 1950’s are brought in is a big plus.

Red Scare Mystery -Confirmation and Discussion

I'm afraid I must move the Night Action Deadline forward. You've got about three hours to get all actions in to me so I can prepare for the next day. That was a test to see if I could paste pictures from my iPhone, a successful test, proving we're in business. -

Attention All Players: My great-aunt in Florida has again taken a turn for the worst. You may remember that over Christmas I flew down to Florida to help her, however this time she has come down with pneumonia, and in her old age, she will not last long if what the doctors say is accurate. Therefore, once again I alone will be flying down there to meet her at the hospital and help her during this time. However, as I am not a doctor, nor her primary caregiver, there is little I can do. Hospital visiting hours are also slim, and she'll be surrounded by her family most of the time. I've booked a hotel room for myself, where I believe I will be spending most of my time. So, what does this mean for you? It means that the game is not on hiatus or pause, it will continue on schedule. I intend on bringing the cast of characters with me, as well as a few other set pieces. Also, I've set up a predetermined story line for Chapter Ten, so I've already photographed and prepared those. Once again, response time will be sluggish, but I'll try to get things posted at a relatively good schedule. I understand that this is bad form for a host, but I do hope you understand the situation that I am in. Thanks, and please get all night actions in to me in the next 36 hours.
