  1. Bricklink? eBay? Do Lego need to physically press the figure into the child's hand? I read some of these posts and wonder if you lot are encountering a force field that keeps you from acquiring certain figures. The damn figure is £6 on bricklink. You need it cheaper than that? I'm hoping we don't have to wait too long for a new TFA Luke, I thought he looked terrific - the make-up artists really got that 'seasoned Jedi master' look down to an art.
  2. I've been assembling my coins ready to buy this... I don't think any of us are grateful enough that these utterly absurdly wonderful sets get released, coming as they do in an age where computer games and reality tv should have effectively eliminated toys altogether. This costs more than a PS4 in the UK - I'm just thrilled high quality products like this - that manage to capture magic within plastic bricks - are even for sale.
  3. People complain about the price?! There's 4,600 bricks! Are you expecting it to be given away?! Using the minifigs legs from the latest B Wing and you have perfect legs for the Ghostbusters - even the pockets are in the right place. Baffled Lego didn't use an existing piece!
  4. Presumably we'll keep to this no spoiler policy until TFA's release in China in 3 weeks time or does the policy only apply to obnoxious American children in states without cinemas? I personally love a no spoiler policy in a thread in which the posting of rumours is encouraged! Anyway, was the rumour about a 'rebels only' wave in March of any substance? Although I don't care for the show I'm hoping for some new sets, if only to provide for 'new' designs we haven't seen before.
  5. The lockers actually fit the proton packs - those are the little details that makes a set great.
  6. Wow, info from Cavegod is almost as reliable as info from Lego! That said, Hoth Base, snowspeeder, Death Star and Falcon - who's mistaken about what? You sound like the person who knows.
  7. An accurate rumour IS a spoiler, this is a thread for rumours so it's a thread for spoilers. I hope we get a Luke figure, Mark Hamill looked terrific. I'm guessing May 4th polybag.
  8. Yikes, Civil War sets are rubbish - with the exception of Giant Man We get the same old Captain America and Iron Man?!
  9. Yeah...kinda feel the marketing guys should have co-ordinated more with the producers. I imagine most people simply didn't see them at all.
  10. How did you fit all 6 figures in there? I got 3...and not comfortably either!
  11. That Hoth set is pretty uninspired and I'd have thought rehashing the Wampa cave would have made more sense. First year in a decade where I'll be leaving some sets on the shelves. Hopefully Lego haven't become complacent with The Force Awakens making it so easy to make money...
  12. Disappointing - where's the leg printing? Is it so much to ask Lego just keeps to a consistent style? Half my figures have printing, with obvious care and attention being displayed by the designer...and the other half look phoned in.
  13. The odds of TFA being a flop are infinitesimally small - people would go even if the reviews urged them not too, everyone with even a passing interest in Star Wars wants to see this, a $2.5bn-$3bn box office is on the cards. I'm surprised a UCS set isn't ready to go, maybe they planned for one and it got lost in the pile along with the Hoth base we'll never see.
  14. The Death Star is such a wonderful set and I'm sure Lego have realised the inspirational effect it has on anyone that sees it, I'm sure plenty have bought it that never had any prior interest in Lego. A new Death Star is a good idea - it's a set that should always be on the shelves and improving on it is to the advantage of everyone. I'd hope the intention was to improve the design rather than produce a cheaper version. I'd love to see Lego really put some effort into the figures and give us the best versions possible of those figures.
  15. Why is back printing rationed?! Is there seriously a designer out there that goes 'sure, back printing might work for basic City figures but these premium figures?! Outrageous!'
  16. I know its a real hardship, but I guess you'll just have to stick with the TWO system versions already out there...
  17. Those are some pretty good figures. Shame Superman hasn't got leg printing, think the plain legs clash with the torso - but atleast we get dual mounded legs
  18. If this didn't have the Star Wars logo it would barely get noticed. This is the most generic 'could be dumped in any theme' set I think I've ever seen
  19. The rumoured sets are 100% accurate Remember the rule: 'If the sets are inexplicable (i.e seemingly random sets that no one was asking for and don't feature anything from Episode 2), then the rumour is true. If the sets seem to make sense, with a lot of highly requested sets - you've got a made up list'
  20. Don't set the bar too low... In other news, could we please get a set we haven't had before? Is that unreasonable?
  21. Leaks from the set confirm you should have more faith... Doomsday could be one of the great movie villains - a terrifying and unstoppable force that really challenges the audiences belief that the heroes will win. I wonder if the film has enough time to use him well.
  22. Is the iron man armour piece in the sub attack new? Can't say I'm dazzled by the sets, but new iron men...so yey
  23. One set has a lousy build, with nice figs, the other has lousy figs and a nice build. Combine the two and...I'm £100 down!
  24. Astonishing. i'd love to make my own, but I just couldn't face the mammoth bricklink ordering
  25. Can't say any of the new sets really seem to be pushing the boat out. Think back to 2012 when we got an X wing, Y Wing and TIE all in the January wave. I'd have liked something a bit more substantial or atleast more iconic.
