  1. This setup will flex more and easier. The problem with the unimog and rock crawler is when the suspension compresses it has to make up for the angle. On this setup the springs only compress one direction yet the axle may float and twist as needed. The downfall would be the amount of weight the towball pin can handle.
  2. I like how the boom actually looks proper and proportionate. Its not ugly or overpowering with the rest of the model. It just looks right.
  3. This is a company I am familiar with. http://www.makerbot.com/ I wish buying authentic parts was easier and affordable. Picking and choosing my sources and then paying shipping each time I make a purchase adds up way too fast. I just can't see printing my own parts. If I wanted that weird platic feel I would build with mega blocks. Now with metal 3d printing I would like to see that.
  4. I use akro mils 64 and 24 bins. No stacking cases flat and all the parts are sorted by element. Easy to find what you need and fast. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/s/ref=is_s_?ie=UTF8&k=akro+mils&i=aps
  5. 8466 is much larger than 8297 and has a transmission. Got one as well second hand, never played with and included the box for 160.
  6. Hey Sicil, I'm not trying to hijack your post but what do you think all of these shocks are for on Barman's Monster truck??? I am not familiar with the Red Shocks but it looks like they are supported by the grey shocks.
  7. Are they really 8x8 in real life? Very nice moc.
  8. I feel a bit deterred about spending the money on these motors. I want my mocs to perform faster but feel it may not happen. Will I be wasting money if I power 1 moter with 1regular battery pack using standard 1.5v batteries and a v2 receiver? I assume my 2000mah AA eneloops running at 7.2v will not put out enough amps causing a trip. I am sorry if my posts seem redundant in conjunction with another user posting another topic related to the 5292 motors at the same time. I did review your entire site and it is extremely informative. Either I lover looked something or the information went right over my head. I just want more power and more speed, is that to much to ask from lego.
  9. I created a setup very similar to yours with the suspension horizontal on top of the frame. I was happy with it. I hope to have my pictures posted soon. Looks good, will you finish with a body or shell?
  10. Will you be using more than 1 battery pack?
  11. Does anyone know the battery life of the rechargable LiPo Battery when using two 5292 motors? Is it really required to use two 5292 motors like in the original buggy sets?
  12. What is the part number for the large sprocket?
  13. I like that it's lowered but not a fan of the inverted suspension. It has the illusion that it weighs to much. How is the steering, it would have opposite effect of body roll wouldn't it?
  14. I got to see this live like 20 years ago.
  15. Any more work done to this?
  16. Will v2 support two XL motors and servo motor using the lipo rechargeable pack?
  17. Ok so there is only one motor (5292) with two output ratings.
  18. Is there a difference between the 5292 motor and the motors on the comparison chart that shows RC motor 1 and RC motor 2. Are there different versions or part numbers?
  19. Any news or updated pictures? I hope
  20. For some reason the first crane picture looks out of proportion, not quite a masterpiece and I wouldn't personally pay for it. Nevertheless it is a great moc, I am not taking anything away from the original creator but it is far from TLG material. I've read all of the 2013 threads, which one has the detailed specs of the new crane design for people to review and bash? Size, parts list, count, pictures etc, I want to see this thing not just the bad confidential image teaser.
  21. Not a shop, two seperate sellers. I use ebay mobile app. If I like the deal then bid or buy it now. I try to avg below 5 cents per part after shipping.
  22. Designer Hans is awesome except he mentions on his website that due to how tightly packed the frame and functions are making it rc would be very difficult. Also if you go with yellow to keep it original the 5x11 panels are a rip off. To much $$$$ and then you need 2400 more parts.
  23. My 9398 would stall cause of a bad battery box. It didn't put out all the power it should have. Ran some tests and tried my other battery boxes and now there is much better power. A bad shock came with the set as well, truck would lean like the Unimog! :)
  24. Picked up two 9395 off ebay for under 50 usd each free shipping.
