Thanks a ton for you commies Comparing the comments to both builds, my build after that one seems to be much more appealing Colossal Castle Contest is only limited by the timeframe somewhere between 400-1500. And builds from other cultures than the european have not prohibited, but encouraged by the jury

Thanks for all your motivating comments Always good to teach something with a MOC But if you are looking at the other contestant's entries, I gonna need luck... I have seen this once before, so feel free to builds this again. I think it was a WW2 build where I saw it, but couldn't remember...

Thanks to all the voters ! And of course to the EB Team for making this possible. :)

Sorry for my impatience

I am still awaiting the results, even of I know them since weeks... Please !

This is my 9th and final entry to this years Colossal Castle Contest. The category was "Miscellaneous - Large Creation". Bushido is a japanese word for the way of the samurai life, loosely analogous to the concept of chivalry. Samurais have been trained in outlying academies to learn this way of life and of course fighting with the sword. I hope you like my asian style and thanks for your comments and criticism ! This is another entry to the CCC, my 8th entry so far. The category was about a mishap including a tent. Airag is the mongolian national drink. It is a fermented dairy product traditionally made from mare's milk. Even if it only has a low percentage of alcohol, some people still can't control their consumption... and loose their balance. One more MOC coming this year, then it's over

Another entry to the CCC, this time my 7th, the category was "Castle Siege". In the year 1453 the city of Constantinople was attacked by Ottoman forces. They used huge cannons, constructed by their engineer Urban. The byzantinian defenders had no chance against the overwhelming army and the blackpowder weapons. Thanks for your comments !

Thanks for commenting and supporting ! @Eru: MEC is for Middleearth Contest ;)

I have seen this at classic-castle.com when I posted my entry to this category yesterday and I was suprised about that creative idea. And you are right, it turned out excellent, the building technique is well thought and even better executed. If we really want to nitpick something, the snow at the front wall is too blocky. Good luck with your entry, hope some more are coming ?

This is my 5th entry to the Colossal Castle Contest - Category: Castle Siege This is a scene from the Lord of the Rings. The armies of Mordor are attacking the city of Minas Tirith. They are using the battering ram named Grond to break through the main gate. It is shaped like a wolf's head and enchanted with black magic. I hope you enjoy, thanks for C&C

This is my 6th entry to the Colossal Castle Contest - Category: Vehicle vs Vehicle The japanese traffic jam is well known nowadays, but the streets were also very crowded in the medieval times. The cities were growing in the era of Kamakura, and the streets were full of carts and rikshaws, accidents were foreseeable. I hope you enjoy, thanks for C&C

You are really crashing this years CCC, every build is excellent. Even if you are mostly inspired by the well-known style of DC/LD you still manage it to give it your own touch. The builds are really special. I was also thinking about building a windmill for a different category and I think I might give it a try, even if I can't top this. Good luck for the CCC fellow Avalonian

Thanks a ton for your comments, glad you like that creation for being different Yes it is my second take on that category, you could enter two builds per category and I just love that one. Got even more ideas, maybe I am going to build some more stuff after the CCC. I especially like builds that produce food or drinks, like a brewery, windmill, distillery, bakery and similar medieval facilities. The bamboo piece is a really good part for building bamboo I agree about the roof, first wanted to build it with tan decoration, but it looked better with golden pieces so it has to the house of a rich farm owner or something like that. Still a little bit unrealistic.

Here is another entry for the CCCXII, this time I tried to build something a little bit different. Maybe I got the time to build some more entries this year, hope you enjoy. The Japanese have been cultivating rice since thousands of years. In the medieval age they began to build terraces at the northern mountains of Honshū, to take advantage of these surfaces' agricultural potential. Thanks a lot for your C&C

Thanks for all your nice comments ! And special thanks to all the supporters so far, we are nearly reaching 1.000

Yes, I was playing Baldur's Gate when I was young so this is according to the Drow from D&D. Exactly, that's what is going to be part of the story before. Yes, not so many of us here, but maybe I can get some new GoH-members at my german forum. That would have been to freaky for me. Building that dark an mysterious is not what I usually do, so Avalonia fits my building style perfectly. Sorry I am using LED stripes from the hardware store. They are easy to handle, even if building them into the construction needs some experience. That's exactly the same "stupid" answer, that I wanted to write when I read the comment over yours ! Okay, I am editing it

Thanks ! Yes, there is some kind of humor in it

Here is my entry to the Catgeroy B of the Men's Quest. Figures are edited with photoshop to make them look like Drow, unedited picture could be seen at the end of the post for judging purposes. The elves try to find a diplomatic solution, to avoid a war between the dwarves and the drow. Even if the drow hate elves, they hate every other race even more. Because of that, the Avalonian decided, to send out the elves for this diplomatic job. Etherendil and her company are reaching the drow's keep after traversing a huge system of underground tunnels. Greetings, friendly relatives ! We are coming from the lands of Avalonia and want to discuss some diplomatic issues with the king. The king awaits you. But weapons are not allowed within the throne room. That's a trap for sure, you malicious drow ! Calm down, I am sure it is just for the best of all, so lay down your arms. After putting down their weapons onto a shelf, they entered the room through a large ebony gate. Greetings intruders, what leads you to my forgotten realm ? The Avalonians sent us, to bring you this message of peace. We are offering you some vantages if you keep friendly and peaceful the next month, whatever is gonna happen. Oh, getting an offer always sounds like something we are interested in. But giving you something in return does not seem plausible to me. A diplomatic solution is always something valuable for all parts. Think about living in peace for a long time. Peace you say ? Diplomacy you say ? I am the almighty king of the drow, and this is DROW DIPLOMACY !!! Uuuaaaargh ! You... Guards, attend those intruders ! Die you pale scum ! But you are doing a huge mis---- The unarmed elves fell like autumn leaves, and their imortal blood was covering the floor. I am sure, they have learned their lesson about the drow this time... Unedited version for judging: Hope you enjoy it, and good luck to all particpants of this Challenge !

Book II Challenge III Dwarven Affairs

Now that I joined I got a lot of question 1. Could we include our entries to category A & B of the mens quest also in our category C builds ? 2. Are there any rules in this contest ? I have got two things I want to do, and I am not sure if these is legal. First I want to use artifical lighning with LED stripes in at least one build. Second is, that I want to photoshop some elves to make them look like real Drow. Everything okay about that ? -
Thanks a lot for your cool feedback ! You make me jealous, would love to see Iceland too. There is nothing really special in the inside, the sails are fixed to the ground with 1x1 round plates and just one beam in the center of the tent, the shape comes just from the cloth itself. Thinking about the bows again you are absolutely right, should have been short bows. Yes there is a lot to build, but I am going to increase my building speed after this week, so there is a lot coming... Yes, because it was something totally different. Kind of difficult on some parts, but great experience !

Great to see you here at Eurobricks ! The perfect place to meet a nice community. And you are showing us a good build. The floor looks much better than your first version. You captured the feeling of the city, and I am totally axcited about the movie release when I look at your work. Brick on !

Paul von Brickenstein will gladly join the men's quest!
