Which makes a D2C even more logical.

Okay so I might be years too late with saying this but we know there's no place for a D2C set this year, and the dvd-release of TABA will probably be around June/July, so what if we get a March (July) D2C Hobbit set?

They did it for Harry Potter at a time when the theme was practically dead with the Hungarian Horntale :)

Okay, so this is amazing news. Let's look at this from the positive side and for now go on what everybody says about the release date and assume these are LOTR sets. Then we'll surely get that Balrog as seen in the photograph.

Maybe, with what PJ is doing with the Hobbit, we'll see the Witch-king in that line? It's a very real possibility that he (and the other 8 ) show up at the final dol goldur battle, so we get Galadriel and the Witch-king. This wouldn't give us the sets we want, but at least we get some of the figs we want.

I was thinking (again): Isn't it very likely that we'll get a LOTR/Hobbit book, with an exclusive character?

We'll probably get a superset frow the Hobbit, most likely Smaug, but I don't think we can expect another one from LOTR as it had Orthanc. Even a long lasting theme like Harry Potter only got one.

What I was thinking: looking back to the beginnings of thes LOTR 2013 thread, there was a lot of talk about the Witchking and the Balrog, with many treating those, together with the 4 released sets as the wave. Now we know that the Hobbit films were originaly planned as 2 films and it seems to appear that this Hobbit wave was split into two, this wave and one for next year. Maybe they did the same with the LOTR wave so that they have a gap that can be filled. Of course you can't release two sets, so maybe they quickly made a sort of Osgiliath, Minas Tirith battle pack and a small set like say, the mirror of Galadriel, both of which wouldn't be hard to design. Of course this way we wouldn't get a Minas Tirith, which sucks, but this seems to complete the line and makes a little bit of sense, even if it's far fetched.

I never stop in the technic forum, but I saw the name Aston, of which I am an incredible fan, and I must say: This is awesome!

And the Belgian language is dutch, just like in the Netherlands. So spelling is 'Sigaretten' as well. Sorry! But I get your point, It all depends on the time period in which things were produced.

Hahah, we Belgians are screwing it up this year. We had these massive expectations and now we have like 3 medals.

Got Shelob's lair in Bart Smit, but it was more expensive than S@H prices. They have all the sets (minus orc forge) for about 2 euro's above retails price.

I usually have no problem with exclusive figs, mostly because they are secondary characters, alternate versions (like black spiderman) or chrome, gold and whatnot versions of others. So I don't really want or need them. But I did feel really pissed when they chose a really popular character like Phoenix, in one of her most beloved and popular outfits, as a exclusive. Because a lot of people want the character, and now it is reduced to the few lucky people who either have enough money to buy one, or had the luck to recieve the fig. I don't feel like they are better of, because they get a fig, and that it is totally unfair to release exclusive figs. I just wish Lego would keep in mind the popularity of a chosen character before they make it exclusive like this. They must have realised only a small percentage would be able to get that fig, and the massive fanbase for that character. So yeah, Lego, go ahead and make as many exclusive collectable figs as you want, I'm fine with it, and I'm really happy if some collector has a more complete collection because he or she made it to the event. But please Lego, chose wisely in you Character choice.

But that wouldn't be manbat, I noticed everybody asking for the wing on his back, but Manbat doesn't look like that, he doesn't have separate arms and wings, the wings come from his arms. And those new arm pieces are exactly like he is portrayed so I would find it odd if they wouldn't use them.

Okay, now I am sad. At first I didn't really give much but that angry face on Jean... If she would ever appear in a set, she'd so be my favorite female fig. But seeing as everybody posts here, it's getting quite hard to collect all the news, is there any possibility that somoeone could collect all the info after COmiccon and post it together somewhere?

Maybe a bit off topic but that was a design change Guilermo Del Toro made when he was still in charge. :) On a more on-topic note, the LOTR sets still haven't appeared in Belgium, I'm not gonna have enough money to buy all these AND the hobbit sets. :(
