Guys, thank you for all your input! I made a quick video of my little Sunday morning ride. There are 4x CaDA Pro L motors in the drivetrain which are definitely stonger and faster than Lego L motors. All powered by a fresh BuWizz 3.0 battery. Have a nice day! P.S.: the BuWizz 3.0 runs at 12V as far as I´m concerned. However there is no difference in the output performance if I switch through the modes. So I guess it´s all in ludicrous already, at least it spins faster than on BuWizz 2.0 in ludicrous mode according to my tests made separately few weeks ago.

I wish I could give you a good answer to that. From a technical standpoint I simply don´t know. Well, let´s say it´s kinda product politics. Diversification from other competitors is becoming more and more important. Let´s hope for the best! At least I´m trying to push them into the right direction, being one of the most hardcore consumers myself .

This is NOT the new RC system from CaDA! There is only a new hub system, which is not compatible with Lego or any other brand, but the devices are pretty the same. There will be a new RC system from CaDA though - it´s still in development ! I´m not allowed to reveal any of that and can´t tell you anything about release dates, because it´s still under development. Most likely it will feature a new controller with proportional joysticks, a stronger battery and new servos with proportional control. Maybe there will be an app too, we don´t know yet. Please be patient and stay tuned!

Sounds reasonable. Although I´d try 2x buggy motors, the battery could handle that, considering the chassis is not very heavy and you´re using only 1x servo in the center instead of one per axle. Don´t know how well braced your gearbox is... In theory it would be great to have a crawling mode and a high speed mode allowing to jump over / crash some Lego cars ...

You have the right to express your opinion, no problem. You don´t care, but would extend the logic etc. There is a difference between selfish, unreflected carelessness and the real serious business where you have to make distinctions, chase opportunities and take the game to a higher level. The entire Technic building system could not be patented forever, as the brick itself, and that´s why it is 100% legitimate for other brands to exist! They use the expired patents for the sake of humanity, because able to produce cheaper and make the playing fun accessible to the other 7+ billion boys and girls around the globe !

Who cares? You call garbage what you wanna call and I say it´s trash because I want to call it so. We are still in the CaDA dedicated topic, just to remind you one more time. As for the rotary switch - it´s a part patented by TLG, so that CaDA has made their own substitute as soon as they learned about it. Same for the differentials. That´s what we are talking about! Wow, that´s interesting! I would definitely want to see it moving at different speeds and an upgraded version "on steroids" (buggy motors)! How are you going to make the inventory by CaDA parts on rebrickable?

Thank you for being honest, you´re welcome! Sorry for getting a bit emotional. Just to explain it from my perspective: there is so much crap out there, sometimes it blows my mind how it´s even possible. The L...n company has been shut down, some representatives even went in jail on World IP Day few years ago. Instead, they have stomped 5 other out of the ground, it´s an embarassing hypocrisy by the authorities down there. But the last word is still not spoken on them, we are ready to fight .

That´s true indeed - you get used to them quickly, I´m being the lucky one who owns several dozens of them . They will come in the newer sets frequently, but not in vast numbers unfortunately. Don´t worry, they really have the friction ridges, holding very tight, similar to the old Lego high friction pins! It´s almost painfull to tear them out - I´m using a slim screwdriver which I insert into the slits betwen those ridges in order to pull them out. You are dead wrong on this! CaDA is not like the other trash brands you mentioned! CaDA makes own molds, clearly different from all other brands! And one mold costs at least 10,000 (ten thousands!) USD, for your reference. They are trying hard to be distinctive from the others and respect design patents from Lego, unlike the others! The forum you´re citing from, talks very little about CaDA (this is a CaDA dedicated topic btw.!) and what it tells about their online store is pure nonsence! They actually have an official online store and there are also fake stores around which are not official! So please stop talking trash and advertising this other crap!

I can confirm that their (harder) pins break more easily than others, especially while disassembling. On the other hand the same thing happens to me with older Lego pins as well, because the ABS material becomes harder and brittle with the time or has been different at some point. It was quite noticeable in the Daytona set, that the plastic has become softer, which btw. has its downsides too regarding less clutch power and overall structural stability! But all in all it really doesn´t matter to me, because I have literally tens of thousands of pins around and one broken pin will never ruin my day. Back to the CaDA sets - they usually deliver plenty of spare parts in the box, so the user has no bigger issues with that, even if he/she has no stock to take from. I really hope they dumped recycled all the older bad batches finally!

I´ve never claimed to be a neutral party here. Nothing suspicious, as everybody knows, I´m a proud MOC designer, I´ve made it to pro level, officially working for CaDA and promoting their brand right here and I´m not shy to rub it into your face one more time . Again - we are playing on neutral ground here, because it´s endorsed by many members and the moderators allowed it to be present. That´s why it´s useless to make it a battlefield Lego vs. CaDA vs. Mould King etc., make provocative claims - that´s what I meant. On the other hand, go ahead if that makes the controversy more valuable for the public, I don´t care then! As for the pins and connectors being "garbage" - you are making general claims which I think are not true at all. There are certain pins such as axle pins of which a big percentage have little clutch power. And specific connectors which are inferior to the Lego counterparts, that´s true. But not as many as you want people make to believe. Then there is a big difference between older and newer sets. Please be more specific and talk about the particular sets and parts you have experienced. That would be helpful for the guy who was asking and more interesting for everybody. Thank you!
-
Let´s remember we are playing on neutral ground here in order to contribute to the discussion in a positive way in order to enhance our building experience. Please everybody refrain from using derogatory and offensive terms in order to outplay one brand against the other. Of course it´s not all black and white. And there is a big difference between the ethics in the CaDA product policy concerning IP theft and other brands such as MK who simply don´t care, but the last word is still not spoken there. Thank you!

@aminnich : To have all the references to the older retired sets, check out the 2021 catalogue. Sets with high customer demand are not going to be discontinued too soon, you can find them on the official CaDA website. The spare parts store is growing as well and includes a lot of intersting stuff other brands don´t offer you at all. Consider all prices already include express shipping und you have better customer service if you buy directly from there. The overall parts quality isn´t at 100% as the Lego reference, as everybody knows, but is progressing with the time. I personally have tons of stuff from both brands, but still keep the most of them apart, having created all the space needed for that. Though I never consider to sell any of that anytime soon .

That´s another genious solution of yours which I admire !

On the other hand it doesn´t suit the other formats, which comes inconvenient once you´ve started collecting and displaying the boxes in a row. And did you notice it has an engine with pistons moving, exactly like in the real car ? The gearbox is pretty the same as in the Bugatti and Lambo which came prior to this (still being flawed). The "cheap" vertical steering wheel has always been the same since the Porsche. OK, you are building such a UCS for the first time - enjoy it as much as you can anyway ! Seriously, I love to have all of them in my collection because they are the best representation to my taste available, no matter what. 1x of each assembled in the showcase + at least 1x of each as parts pack for building MOCs.

Jerry, you have outdone yourself once again, all due respect, man !! The doubled-down-drivetrain is insanely genious to say the least! So how do you distribute / differentiate the commands in order to regulate the power outputs for both buggy motors? I fear you´ll need to replace the usual CV-joints which connect the rear to the front axle by metal parts. But it must definitely reach a speed beyond 20km/h! Can´t wait for the video!

The question goes to @Zerobricks as well. Did you try them on BuWizz as well as being reliable and most important – responding gradually? E.g. I´m having many CaDA servos of different types and generations, some not yet released and none of them do respond proportionally on BuWizz 2.0 and 3.0. The funny thing (not really) I experienced the original Lego servos are doing that, but cost a fortune on bricklink. Another funny thing: the topseller is sitting in China, seemingly hoarding piles of them...

I remember having run into the same kind of problems when PF servos even didn´t exist some 10y ago. But the solution isn´t that complicated: prevent the M motor from stalling by using 1 white clutch gear between the motor and streering rack. If 1 is too weak, use 2 or 3 of them on the same axle. Try soft or hard springs to make the steering rack return to center, 1 per each side.

Great MOC and congratulations for succeeding with the torque verctoring system, I love it ! I´ve had such ideas with the battery a long time ago, but from idea to realization is a long way as you know. Allthough I´m following a different idea as mechanical solution right now which involves multiple differentials. Some questions: Who is "US"? Sharing one project with others must deliver double fun but is not as easy as well, right? Does the amount of torque vectoring correlate with the current speed? Why is the counterweight needed - is it because of a sensitive suspension?

Generic Contest Discussion
brunojj1 replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
On the other hand is the most popular theme. It could get a lot more attention, drag more MOCers into the contest and probably more people into the forum . Despite the Lego company does it no justice at all, delivering the same boring stuff year after year. Let´s contrast that in a creative way! -
Generic Contest Discussion

Yeah, what about a Need-for-Speed contest with maybe 2 categories "robbers and gendarmes" ?.. I always wanted to build a car in 2 versions like these e.g.: Please don´t consider this as a commitment to ever take part in a contest (I´m a poor slow builder )... -

I´ve been late to the party, is there some rotten salad left ? Has someone seen Helge around? I´m literally drinking my well deserved end of working day beer right now - cheers everybody !
