@arcticgenes : Are you sure that the M-motors spin in different directions? I can't believe that. Please don't bother the CaDA customer service if the motors are intact, that't ridiculous. It has nothing to do with the direction of the buttons on the remote - obviously you can switch them one way or the other. Both functions are on the same channel (yellow). Most likely you have confused the tan 12z gears and put them on the wrong side - is that possible? Please check one more time.

@LvdH : Good job, I didn't expect you would make your threat come true ! Thouhg I'll never understand why somebody would love to spent hundreds on parts just to prove the "concept", but I respect your specialty. And furthermore I can't understand why you would swap the F40 to grey colour instead of using them for the ONE?.. Or is it just photoshopped? At least you can say you have the car from the Forza Horizon 5 front cover on your shelf . I must admit I would prefer many other colors above the grey. Why not build a wild patchwork version, maybe not similar but inspired by the real example? Btw. - wouldn`t it be super cool to drive the bricked version as alternative, same like they did in FH4 with the clumsy Lego Speed Champions?!?

Maybe I should hover sublime above any critics, enjoy my day and let others say what they want. But hey, I'm stupid enough to accept any challenge when it comes to the matter itself. Comparing sturdiness: with all due respect - the "Flexari" mentioned previously is no match, it sounds like an insult. My "Fiat" is of bigger scale, weighs a lot more and has tons of (functional!) electronics in it. Close the doors and the frunk properly and no issues. I think the Porsche #42056 is a good reference. It has some flex too, but IMO acceptable for the size. My cars are built after real cars which usually consist of highly rigid carbon fibre monocoques, weighing as little as possible, sitting close to the ground as possible, still allowing average people to climb in without headache into a street legal supercar. Try to replicate that and not build a concrete wall around the passengers and between them. I prefer to stay slim and pretty and build a 5x5 studs center console, not higher and not thicker. Instead of building a rugged 7x7 thick wall between the passengers seats, fitting some blue colored minifugure scale structure called seats between them. Not to mention the 90 degree steering wheel, what a disgrace for any car lover.

@Lipko : Talking about feelings. I feel no hatred towards Lego, it's more contempt and growing disappointment. It is what it is when you're being treated like crap as a customer, ripped off 450 bucks for a huge box full of cheap plastic (mainly produced in China), yet marketed in the biggest stadiums of the world. So I can do better and yes, I believe we with CaDA have reached Lego quality with this product. Not shy to to boast of having built the better and more intersting designs than them. Feel your envy and prove you can do even better .

Although I see no benefit to engage in this kind of discussion, you guys are challenging and triggering me and I'll not stay quiet. Let them fanboys play out their victim card, it's not more than entertaining and they can have our compassion for free Of course I'm biased here, but I really think he has pointed out the major weaknesses in my model. You are welcome to believe and feel what you want, thanks for expressing your honest opinion. I have to disagree. CaDA brings more innovations to the table than other competitors (of which there exist so many today!), who are just copying. And is about to diversify itself enough, break away in the long term by introducing differentiated concepts at all levels. Also they have no need to restrict themselves regarding e.g. the military theme, no need to follow a woke gender-neutral LGBT agenda, just offer people the fun toys they want to play with, period. Then consider this: the CaDA / Doubleeagle company does NOT need us Europeans and Americans as customers, the Chinese market is big enough and constitutes the larger proportion in the sales shares. They could just move on doing the same as the others and still grow and make profit. Thanks to my dream boss who has the right attitude, willing to take on the adventure ! Let's not forget TLG is a multi-billion giant, by far the largest toy company ever. You still can't compare them to any other brick manufacturer. But they'll try anyway to take on the sporty challenge at least in some fields, keep up a competitive spirit which will benefit everybody IMO. Though the "play fair" rule should apply on both sides, I remember somobody saying this . I can't understand this at all. This is not a war where you have to gamble on one of the parties in order to survive. They will definitely not kill each other, rather deliver supplements to you! Why can't we just enjoy the blessings of both worlds, build anything we like according to our own vision and be happy?..

@amorti : I think we can relax here and rather enjoy a beer or two . He could have used just the original instructions book, you don't know and I don't care either. IMO there is nothing wrong with doing this, let everybody have his fun ! As long it's not being used in a commercial way like claiming a new copyright by changing 5% of the build. Otherwise I personally see absolutely no point in building this from Lego parts and especially "from Lego parts only". There is no secret - he's on my "payroll" since I arranged one or two free sets for a good comrade, that's it . I wish that one day you would consider any sort of cooperation too - you know how you can reach us .

No problem, you´ve done your proper research and offered the solution ! The reason I haven't used the knob gears in the design from the beginning is that I have that unpleasant memory from long time ago when they got deformed in a similar heavy duty application. Though it happened when I used a double XL motor setup where the torque is even stronger. Your solution is unreservedly recommended! Btw. did you ever see a Lego designer being open for critics / willing to discuss the flaws in his model ? (Except talking with and about people with the "chinese bad" attitude)

I'm having 2 cars assembled on my shelves, both built with 100% original CaDA parts and according the original instructions in the set. I have tested them one more time 5 minutes ago. I swear nothing is grinding in the "useless" mode (1. forward / 2. backward) in my both cars! Of course I believe what you say and there is nothing wrong with testing in the early stage when the car is not completely assembled, prior the chassis has reached the final sturdiness. So your point is justified anyway because we kids should play and improve our "legos" builds at any time of the day .

There is nothing to solve for the mainstream user who will not even bother. The "bugs" mentioned by Aaron represent his subjective opinion and the "fixes" suggested are his own solutions to them (which I endorse). Of course they are helpful to consider, so you should definitely watch his video before or while assembling your model and improve it to your preferences .

I'm afraid they won't be available from CaDA as a download too soon. The improvement sheet is meant for the byers of the set. Most of the corrections are subliminal, not worth to bother. There is only 1 substantial improvement where a plug on the distributor should be moved to the outer hub to make the battery button accessible from above: Sorry to disappoint you, but my models usually are not designed to be static. If to look at it from a different POV - you are getting a bunch of RC components which exceed the Pro Power Pack (worth around 80 bucks) :

It's not so much about being smart, but more about dedication, bravery and patience. Did you ever ask yourself: why does nobody on earth do this? And give yourself the one answer: I'll have to do it myself! Necessity is the mother of invention. Lack of somthing leads to more creativity with the limited material you have.

By popular demand and since we are in the Technic forum, here some theory behind the pullback motor. Obviously it has resistance only in one direction and spins free in the other. Its main purpose was to prevent the second motor from passively spinning while only the first is active in slow gear while driving forward. The secondary purpose is to play with spooling up and down for having a sort of "kers" or "launch control" function. Driving backward usually works slowly in first gear - you don´t need to go fast in reverse with a real car either - and here you can clearly see how the second motor is passively being rotated counterwise. If you push both buttons in reverse, you can move the car at decent speed, just until the pullback motor is being spooled up again. You don´t need to go far in reverse anyway, but most likely just for a small correction in the parking lot or to get back on track again . I think both the AWD / 2WD options as well as the pullback motor idea can teach some small physics lessons. Reflect about boundaries of technology, how more or less efficiently it can be applied and where the differences are between small scale and real life.

[MOC] BMW M3 E30
brunojj1 replied to apachaihapachai's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nice little M3 you've made there ! The improvements are appreciated. One has to realize one more time how hard it is to do a smooth looking replica in small scale from Technic parts, so you really need to mix in plenty of system parts. Now just add the Hofmeister kink and there we go (hope you don´t mind this little joke ). More seriously - please get rid of the stupid looking blue pins, it´s a digital model where it's easy to do (and I don´t care about the "purists", since all of these are available in genuine Lego as well, although some of them ridiculously expensive if to buy on bricklink). -
I really hope so ! I´m even willing to sponsor a free AMG set to you or to anybody (talented!) who would like to take on such a challenge building a B-model out of it . Btw. we might tend to ignore a vast number of talented enthusiasts in the so-called third world and their potential or simple hobbyists who are not posting here or anywhere else. Most likely people with small budged become more creative with the few bricks they have, just out of necessity . Like myself, when I was growing up in the dark empire called soviet union. CaDA or kadá if you will, emphasis on the last vowel, translates into "click" in the colloquial Chinese language.

Yes, you are so dead wrong, dude !!! One single exclusive mold for a particular set can't possibly prevent you from building anything you want from the rest 99,9% of the parts, right? On the oppisite, and this has always been my credo - a missing part can´t possibly stop me from building anything I need! Consider the CaDA parts are perfectly compatible to Lego parts, except the newer electronics, still nobody has set limits to your own imagination and inspiration to BUILD ANYTHING YOU WANT! I can´t emphasize that enough - that is the prime and ultimate goal playing with bricks, since you have been born and started licking the taste of bricks! And don´t ever whine and complain about a missing B-model in any Technic set, whether from Lego or from CaDA - build one yourself and be proud of it, Man!

Superb job, you got talent, man ! Perfect faithful proportions, this paneling work with the main bodyline angled is very eye-pleasing . That's what attention to details is about, the faithful sticker job included. Hats off for these creative rearlights + popup headlights. Besides the looks, which are stellar considering the limitations, you´ve managed to put in a working gearbox and the caster angle. On the downside it seems not to steer very well (?) - correct me if I'm wrong. Btw. - you don't need Stud.io to make instructions. You seem to have very good camera equipment and take care of a clean presentation - the best preconditions. Just take the model apart in rational subassemblies, take a picture and one more of the parts included - that will become a useful building instruction backwards. It means hard work, this sort of fun is not for everybody. And be aware of the 100% risk of being robbed by pirates navigating in the swamp, that´s the darkside of the hobby. The alternative is to find a set manufacturer who will take care of the legal protection as well. That means a win-win for everybody IMHO.

@langko : Thanks for sharing! And I thought I´m the one and only owner of a "black series" in the world . Interesting enough - there you can see how impossible it is to replicate this air scoop / shark fin. A second batch or limited "carbon edition" was exactly what I was thinking of btw., but can´t tell you yet if it will become reality. I understand you have not much interest in adding another red car to your collection, especially this one. If I may ask - where can I find these pictures? (no closed FB groups please)

@nerdsforprez Cool idea in terms of a creative way to display and to save space in your room ! You´ve created the "perfect illusion" that the modules can be reassembled within 5 minutes . Though I must say the LaFerrari is a great piece of art on its own which in my eyes is kinda being destroyed by ripping it into pieces ... So make sure you have the real deal standing once more somewhere else in one piece ! I´m running out of space too in my basement, so maybe I should start to pin cars onto the wall, lined up on a track or just in various angles. My original P1 is modular and suitable for the exploded view as well. Thank you for the inspiration!

I instantly felt the same. On the other hand we don´t know what the licensor Suzuki had required in terms of authentic looks. Some unique shapes just can´t be achieved by using the standard paneling repertoire, though in this case I´d certainly have had some alternative ideas. If I compare it to the AMG shark fin - I designed a new rotorblade which I planned to stack 2 of them to imitate the shape and I still believe it wasn´t the baddest idea. The licensor wasn´t happy about this solution, so the R&D made an exclusive moulding with an engraved brand logo in order to please them AMG guys. My rotorblade is being used in various other sets, so I´m pleased too at some point .

My designs are usually labeled with my signature "design by B.Jenson", if not modified or stolen by pirates. The F1 car was designed by the R&D department in the company, not a single person to blame . There are 4 sheets of 73 transparent stickers in total - it requires a lot of patience and accuracy to implement them. I´m glad they are not printed, since I want to have the newer panels available for other builds.
