  1. The sun blazes down as the parties prepare to charge at each other. "Welcome my new reign. You will be the first to die. Mwahahahaha. For Lizoot!" 2. Yes, I'm with Pandora on this one. I've QM'd a quest with a Battle Mage, and I can vouch for her when she says the shield isn't really up to snuff with all the others. ALSO, and this is a change I REALLY feel strongly about: I think that when using scrolls, on a roll of 5 or 6, the person using the scroll should take damage. Scrolls function in almost all ways like a spell, except that the person using the scroll CAN NOT take damage. It's essentially a impenetrable shield until that person's ether runs out. That can take upwards for 20 rounds. I really really don't find that to be fair. When using scrolls, the players knows with 100% certainty they will be safe when the results go up. No other item in the game that can be used against an opponent assures the players of that. Again, I've never really lobbied for a change in any of the rules, but I feel really passionately about this one, and think my case is a logical one.
  3. OoC: I thought I had finally made a perfect battle post. Curses. Advanced classes. Bah. Now that I know what it's like after Q41, all my quests from now on are for level 1s. I'll have the next step up in an hour or two. sorry, need to edit pictures, that assassination cut down the time I thought I had to prepare!
  4. I'm getting closer to perfection! Maybe one day I'll be able to post in before 1 AM, that should make it easier on me . Fixed, and effects come after free hits for me always. Don't know if it's convention or not, but I have always and will always do it that way, unless Sandy rules otherwise. That is what makes most sense to me. EDIT: Okay, so one less Elite Guard (B was killed by Skrall, not changing the map, just remember it ). I've also added the Skeleton Decoy to the party.

  6. "Ah, I can see you're a true business man, much like myself, so you'll understand that I can't go as low as you say, or else I'd be losing money. I've got to at least make back the money I spent on them. Let me sell you the diadem for 80 gold, and you can sell it for 120 gold then, making yourself a nice profit. The dress uniform... well, it was 150 originally, so I can't go lower than that, but I can meet you at that. What do ya say?"
  7. The heroes awake fully rested, and, thanks to both their bedrolls, at full health. The party treks throughout the day. Russel rides Pigley in a regal fashion as the stout old pig sniffs out the scent of the Frog. Finally, the heroes arrive at a field where the Dog and Frog face them. The animals each speak in their own tongues, but thanks to the cowls, the heroes can understand them. "What brings you here, crab." "I am Russel Ruffers, the--" "We know who you are, crab! What do you want here?" "I wish to take you in. You are both fugitives of the law. Pillus, you abandoned your order, and Brakington, you abandoned your masters and have fallen in with a dark Frog!" "Dark Frog.. so you know of my recent doings... the Frog Paladins are weak!! I shall rise to power and reign above them. They scoff at the art of necromancy, while I herald in the new age!" "Heroes, I do not wish a fight. I am a poor Frog, sworn to a weak order. Sir Barkley has lived a horrid life. We both just want to escape it and usher in a new era of life. Where the Frog Paladins have open minds, and the Masters of Dogs show some empathy." "Fat chance," Pigley says sadly. "Some empathy is all we demand!" "Don't let their words sway you, heroes. That Sir Pillus is something dangerous, and Sir Barkley has been corrupted by his ways. They talk reasonably, but they aren't! Are you ready for your first real combat experience, heroes? This is a day that will go down in history!" "Fat chance," Pigley whispers to the heroes.

The Dastanians all seem confused, but the heroes know what it is, and use it to their advantage. The heroes in the west corridor retreat slightly closer to the stairs while their enemy fumbles around. Those with ranged weapons hold off the enemy as the healers patch up wounds, and Xander deploys a Skeleton Decoy. The Heroes of the East Hall prepare for battle as well, and just in time as the Chaos Beasts burst forth with an Ella who looks serene, her eyes glazed over, clearly lost in her own head. The heroes in the throne room batter down the Commanders, who watch the letters wearily and leave themselves open for attack. Nyx blasts through one's chest with a well aimed darkness spell, but they are alerted of another approaching danger when Blackenord cries out. "What the hell are these things?! What Heroica witchery is this?" The next batch of enemies is almost upon those in the throne room. 9. When will someone host a quest where Swashbuckler is the reward? I want to be that class so very badly. So very very badly. If anyone wants Boomingham on their quest, just put that as the reward.
  10. ...Marketplace. Boomingham hums one of his tuneless tunes. Boomingham stopped off at Portia's Potion Shack first. He grins at her. "Howdy, little lady. I figured that I should drop off and give you a few more wares to peddle. They don't do me any good anyway." Boomingham drops his one potion (+2 gold) his two holy bombs (+10 gold) and his one venom off (+2 gold). This left Boomingham's satchel lighter, but his coin purse heavier with 109 pieces of gold. Boomingham then makes his way over to Fabian's new shop. "Hello, my good sir," Boomingham says, leaning on the counter easily. "How are you today? I've got an offer or two for you. Before we do anything, however, I'll buy those Counterstrike Gloves off of you." Boomingham forks over the appropriate 80 gold, leaving him with only 29. His confident grin didn't waver. "Now, I've got two items you might be interested in. This here is a Thorny Diadem. Bought it off my good friend Nur, don't recall where he said he found it, but you're bound to like it. It gives you quite the head rush. I'd be willing to part with it for 120 gold. For the life of me, I can't recall how much that conniving little chap stole from me when he sold it, so I'm probably giving you a huge bargain." "This dress uniform is near brand new. Costs 150 gold in the store I bought it from, but, and here's a secret, I doubt Swisshopper will be as friendly next time Heroica comes knocking at his door. So I'm going to cut my own throat open here and sell it to you for 175 gold. Knock the price up to 200 gold when you sell it, and we'll both be making a nice profit."
  11. ...and fumbles around for a quill. He finds one on the table, next to his now empty drink. "Lord Boomingham," he says out loud as he writes his name in his bold heavy print. "Wonder where everyone's gone to. Hybros and Nur have up and left, and Tesni and Nyx and Marvelo are still no where to be found. Might as well go exploring." Boomingham straps his two swords to his hip, the King of the Desert situated directly above his Frozen Sabre. He swaggers over to the huge doors and throws them open, setting off for the...
  12. Boomingham has taken up a cozy chair in the corner that usually belonged to one of the rogues who hid in the shadows. His eyes are closed shut. For the past few days he has woken, drank, and then returned to his slumber. Boomingham tells anyone who asks that he was recuperating. Boomingham murmurs in his sleep sometimes. Not much, just short phrases: "You haf fumpkin shad you fill mif swif *mumble mumble* are nofing." "Onwrads shad..." The Dragonlord's voice rings out and rips Boomingham from his stupor. He sits up. "Looks like things are happening with or without me. Might as well join in the fun," he mumbles to himself and then smiled wanly before downing a half finished beer next to him. Boomingham forces himself out of his chair and grabs a parchment...

I have no doubt that there will be songs written about the duel that takes place tomorrow, heroes. You and I will become legends!" Russel nestles up against a warm rock and goes to sleep. Pigley calls the heroes over. "Look up at the stars," the pig commands. "We are very small. All of us. Russel, you two, me. Heroica. Eubric. Uland. Even Olegia is small. All these battles we all face, all these challenges-- all, so very very small, heroes. So very very small. We mustn't forget it." Pigley also goes to sleep. Would the heroes like to retire for the evening, or talk?
  15. I have requested that I get to run the next round of battle specifically so that I get to write that into the battle description.
  16. I'll let it happen if you happen to accomplish this. I think we all do.
  17. Thank you. Throwing items have always confused me since I've never actually had to use them. Fixed! No, I think that an assassins shield always affects all the enemies, so the Reaper would be able to attack everything because you rolled a shield. And, fixed!
  18. OoC: I don't think you can attack with the Banana Bladerang, because you threw it last time, JimBee. I think you throw throwing weapons regardless of the roll, but correct me if I'm wrong. I had you attack this round with Zoot's Reaper, since it didn't matter anyway. Battle of the Clock Round Ten Docken v. Green Cog - Shield Guts v. Green Cog - Steal (+3 gold) Hybros v.
