Second one, absolutely. Needs to happen. First one... I think limiting it to one die would make the class more manageable, but certainly still appealing.

Quest 34 Dr. Alphonse Cula - Vampire - The Guild of Invision The head alchemist of the Guild of Invision is, to the surprise of many, a real vampire. He has been in the guild ever since it was founded two hundred years ago. Dr. Cula is proud of who he is, and seeks a way to make Eubric a better place for all of its undead citizens to live in. Alive, Invision Guildhouse Kukulkan - Orc - The Orcish Rebels This orcish witch doctor came to Eubric as a slave in chains, but fought his way to freedom. He began working for the rights of the enslaved greenskins in Eubric and over a decade achieved a lot of good for them. But now he feels that the time for talk is over, and direct actions need to be taken in order to end slavery once and for all. Alive, In Eubric Madame Ladybug/U'lalah - U'kin - The Guild of Invision She is the head herbalist in the alchemist's guild, extracting poisons and medicine from plants and flowers. She is one of the few U'kin in Eubric, for her kind rarely leaves their homeland, Dastan Empire. She may seem absent-minded at times, but she can be surprisingly ruthless if need be. Like most alchemists, she has no love for wizards, since she deems it wrong to bend the laws of nature. Alive, Invision Guildhouse Count Noctus Shadeaux - Human - The Shadeaux The head of the other influential merchant family (the other being the Hinckwells) suffers from a rare condition that he calls Le Malheur. It causes him to be vulnerable to many natural substances such as sunlight and garlic. The condition is passed down in his bloodline, and his daughter Bellanotte also has the disorder. His other two children, Umbra and Nuitan, are unaffected. The paleness and aversion to sunlight resulted by Le Malheur caused the peasants in Noctus's old county in Charis Kingdom to think of him as a vampire, so they banished him and his family. The Shadeaux then came to Eubric to start a new life. Noctus took over his brother Matinus's merchant company, and raised it to new heights. Nowadays he and Heinrich Hinckwell compete over the place of the wealthiest family in the Freeport, which causes much tension between the two families. Noctus was trained as a dragoon by a Dastanian knight when he was young, and he still keeps bats - distant relatives of true dragons - as his pets. Alive, Chateau de Shadeaux Slim Yscum - Phlegman - No Allegiance Bio: He was an infamous drug dealer who worked at Triad Park, selling his wares to the shady nightwalkers against the permission of the alchemist's guild. As a phlegman, he had the power to split himself with every strike taken, but ultimately there was nothing left of him when three rogues from Heroica cut him to pieces. Quest 33 The Crimson Reaper - Elf - The Wolfgang Appeared in: Quest 33 This red-clad elven assassin was hired by Violetta the Cat Burglar to distract a group of heroes from Heroica while she stole a precious heirloom from the Hinckwells. The Crimson Reaper was all talk and no talent, and was swiftly defeated by the heroes. Dead Daffyd the Bunny Burglar - Human - The Wolfgang Appeared in: Quest 33 He considered himself a rival of Violetta the Cat Burglar, but in truth he was nothing more than a cheap copycat (or rather, a copybunny). He and his sidekick - coincidentally named Sidekick - met their end at the hands of a group of Heroica champions defending the Ziegfried Manor from Violetta. Dead Heinrich Hinckwell - Human - The Hinckwells Appeared in: Quest 33 Heinrich is the current head of the wealthiest family in Eubric (although the Shadeaux might beg to differ), and a direct descendant of Lady Luck, one of the original Veterans of Heroica. He is an ambitious merchant and a fearless swordsman, although he has a tendency of being superstitious. He is the husband of Laureline and father of two sons, Lorcan and Lyren. Alive, Hinckwell Villa Laureline Hinckwell - Human - The Hinckwells Appeared in: Quest 33 She was but a young wandering minstrel when the son of a wealthy merchant family woo'ed her into marriage. Now she spends her days doing charity concerts and worrying after her husband and two sons. Alive, Hinckwell Villa Lee Long - Human - The Ji Pei Appeared in: Quest 33 This warrior monk from Xu came to owe his life to the family of Ji Pei when they saved him from execution sentenced to him because of insolent behaviour against an aoi. Instead, he was sent into exile, never permitted to return to Xu again. The Ji Pei helped him again by taking him with them to Eubric to act as a personal bodyguard to Shanxian Ji Pei, the matriarch of the family. He never leaves her side, and it is rumoured that the two even share a bed together. Alive, Ji Pei Palace Longjon & Llowlyfe - Human & Dwarf - Town Watch/The Wolfgang Appeared in: Quest 33 These two bumbling watchmen joined Lieutenant Lilbelly in his traitorous scheme to side with the Wolfgang to get back at the six houses in power. Both of them met their demise alongside the lieutenant. Dead Captain Patricia Cousland - Human - The Town Watch Appeared in: Quest 23, 33 After Ubert Lilly's demotion, Sergeant Patricia was promoted by the Houses to Captain Patricia, at least for the forseeable future. She rules the Town Watch with iron fist, and many of Eubric's lower class citizens fear her. In the Town Watch, her reign is undisputed. Cousland cracked down on the Wolfgang after the attack on a Town Watch building. She helped to lead the hunt of Violetta, and eventually left in disgust after the heroes let Violetta walk. Alive, in Eubric Shanxian Ji Pei - Aoi - The Ji Pei Appeared in: Quest 33 She is a masterful architect and one of the very few blue-skinned aoi still left in the world. She came to Eubric a few years ago as an ambassador to Xu, her homeland, but quickly got involved into the city's politics. She sees the Freeport as a perfect base to build a new kind of society that is based on technology and progress. She is aided by the genius inventor Vincent Legonardo in this mission. A chi monk called Lee Long acts as her personal bodyguard. She also has a son, Jun, who wants to return to Xu, but she won't allow it. Alive, Ji Pei Palace Sidekick the Rabbit - Rabbit - The Wolfgang Appeared in: Quest #33 This strange creature was a top-secret experiment by the Guild of Invision. After gaining a self-consciousness, the experiment managed to escape the guildhouse with a heavy load of bombs. It ran into a Wolfgang thug called Daffyd in the streets, and they decided to team up into a powerful rabbit duo. They were no match for champions of Heroica, though. Dead Ubert Lilbelly - Human - Town Watch/The Wolfgang Appeared in: Quest 6, 33 The former captain of the Town Watch is greedy and gluttonous, which are both common traits for a watchman in Eubric. His continuous failure to fulfill the demands of the six houses in power caused him to be demoted into a lieutenant. He blamed Heroica for his demotion, and his bitterness grew to such an extent that he sided with the Wolfgang. His traitorous actions were soon cut short by Heroica. Dead Violetta the Cat Burglar - Human/Werewolf - The Wolfgang Appeared in: Quest 33 This beautiful burglar is one of the leaders of the Wolfgang, and like the rest of them, a werewolf. She is considered the favourite of Ulric Wolfkin, the head of the criminal organization. She is very proud of her talents as a burglar, to the point of being overly confident. Using every trick in her sleeve, including posing as a mole called Kayla in front of the Town Watch, she successfully managed to break into five of Eubric's houses in power and steal their most valued possession, but at the Ji Pei Palace she was defeated by a group of heroes from Heroica. Instead of turning her to the Town Watch, the heroes traded her for one of the family heirlooms. She went unpunished by her crimes, but her pride was so dented that it would be a long time before she would dare to show her face outside the Wolfgang base again. Alive, the Wolf's Den

Boomingham slumps on a table, a number of glasses stacked next to him. He snores loudly.

Alright, updated NPC index! The One You NEED to Know - Wren. Come on, she's coming to Eubric. Just give this one to me. The One We Want to See Featured Again - Umbra! Back by popular demand! She's fiesty and from Charis! What's not to like. I say we bring her on home. The One Everyone Loves - Captain Patricia. Probably... well, ONE of my very favorite character in Heroica. Written by two fine writers, and written well by both of them. No one has shown such true and fair contempt for Heroica and still been likable. She sees a city she clearly loves and wonders how the hell she'll be able to save it. What a stunningly beautiful character.
-
Yes, that will be a section I develop after I finish with all of this other work. And yes, Wren will be in the "need to know" but who does everyone love? Maybe I'll use Patricia. I love Patricia.
-
Quite hopefully! I think I have NPCs from people for all the quests inbetween, I just have to write up the bios for all the Lost Party members. I also just realized I get to pick NPCs of the month! Any suggestions, folks? How quick of a quest are we talking, WBD?
-
Finally (FINALLY!!!) done with Dastan NPCs (which jerk held me up by not writing bios... oh, me? whoops...). If any adventurous person wants to check over my work, be my guest. The NPC Index should continue it's wonderful journey towards completion over the next week or so!

Quest 32 Byverion the Maginastra - Unknown Race - Unknown Allegience Appeared in: Quest 32 A very powerful Mage who took it upon himself to 'rescue' children from the town of Ve'er shortly after the resurrection of the Dark General Haroka. Heroes from Heroica rescued the children, who were being kept safe by placing them in magical 'realms of sanctuary' along with Guardians, which the heroes defeated. They then let the Maginastra go, as he had apologized for his misguided desire to protect the children from chaos. Alive, Whereabouts Unknown Captain Hlin Horrkkba - Human - Ve'er Town watch Appeared in: Quest 13, 32 Bio: The dashing, debonair Captain of the Ve'er Town Watch, Hlin Horrkkba was not above petty bribery in his first encounter with heroes of Heroica. However, when children of Ve'er went missing, including his own daughter, Vell, Hlin knew he needed help and brought in more heroes. Together they helped rescue all the children, with Hlin proving himself to be a fearless and masterful swordsman despite his arrogant demeanor. Alive, In Ve'er

Heartlake Heartbreak - Day One: Heart to Heart
Zepher replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Don't we? That's how I've always seen it done in my dreams! That one time when there was a talking camel, I knew it was him because he was the only non-human. Duh! And look at all the hats he wore. Of course... in the end, it wasn't him. I think... Oh, sorry, to better clarify, I dream about situations where mafia people kill normal people and normal people try to catch them and kill them back. A dreary life of cooking and cleaning on the farm can lead to some crazy dreams. The book I read on psychology told me so. I read a lot of books because I'm bored all the time. But I of course do my work first! I'm impressed by all the big words this Hedgehog knows! Mr. Hedgehog, would you prefer applesauce, or sausages, or perhaps some fried potatoes? You seem like you need some energy in case you want to put on some plays later. Hedgehogs are infamous for putting on plays. As for you grasping at straws... yes, perhaps. There's rarely anything to go on in the first day of any of my dreams. You have to hope someone says something silly due to inattention! There was this one dream I had with some megablock werewolf who said something similar to this on the first day. So perhaps this warrants follow up at least. Light a fire under everyone's arses, and I'll light a fire under the pan. For the aforementioned sausages. Aforementioned. Is that an impressive word, Mr. Hedgehog? -
Besides, I had a dream about the final Wren Quest recently (one of the only two dreams I've had about Heroica in its entire run so far, so, not too bizarre) and Hybros was ABSOLUTELY there. The rest of the dream was less related to the quest I actually have planned... but still pretty epic, and certainly took place in Eubric, though I was the size of a figure and got to wander it. It was actually really cool.
-
Yeah yeah, I know YOU'D be okay missing it, but would I be okay with you missing it. Besides, you took that damn Rod with you! I need that thing around. The quest will be 10 times cooler with it. I love the Pogoda, but I hope everyone in it dies a swift and easy death.
-
I have a plan, never you worry your pretty little head. The 12 heroes will rarely be all together during the quest. Eubric is large... and believe or not, they've built up a fair amount of enemies over the course of the four Wren Quests. I associate you more, personally, with the Guffington story which will almost certainly continue this summer, but if you do happen to want to come on a Wren Quest, I'll absolutely consider you. I hate having a limit on this quest, I feel like someone is going to get left out. They've got time to get back. Tarn as well! I believe WBD is holding one that has not been used yet. There were two the first quest (Hybros/Cronk) one the second (Tesni) one the third (WBDs), and finally one the fourth (Haldor). Then there will be one final one this time around! Wonder who might snag it. There will be lots of other cool drops too. Can't say Wren isn't generous.

If I make applesauce, I'll need to make sausages as well. You can't have one without the other. Two good things that go great together! -

So much sadness on what could have been another lovely day. Poor poor horses. Would anyone like a mournful breakfast? Any requests? -
You're putting too much thought into it. Which character can best use what? Let the players lobby for something if they want it, then divide it. If anyone feels like they haven't gotten enough, trust me, they'll tell you.
-
Yes. I believe I am the only player who has had two quests put on hold for them. Perhaps I stress out QMs too much.
-
I like Nerwen a lot and I think Boomingham would too! I think we ought to quest together some time, beyond that sadly cancelled quest we had together.
-
I had already created a drop that included the inspired effect for my quest, but players might be able to buy some Mulled Wine as well at some point. I can't tell if Scuba is kidding or not. But in all honesty, there should be more drops that are consumable. They can still be unique that way, but they won't stock pile so that everyone ever has seven unique weapons.
-
Satchel of Awesomeness was just put out there and has the same effect. I had thought that we were done with those, but oh well. I think a lot of QMs are too obsessed, also, with putting out really awesome drops. There should only be so many unique drops per quest. I'd be a-okay if someone dropped me a few meads from time to time.
-
I agree for the MOST part. Generally it's fairly clear. I'd never give out... I don't know, a Staff of the Elven Necromancer, for example. Venoms/consumables... most likely yes. But I did actually check with Endgame, who I'm stealing most of my things from.
-
Boomingham's mind idles at the games. "I can hardly understand the rules to any of these. too much to drink, I suppose. Oh well, no where to go but up, might as well go the whole way, you know, all that." Boomingham holds up a hand indicating he wants a few more drinkst. In another corner of the Hall, the fretful looking watchman dodges in and tacks up a final sign. He sighs and then exits. Mephisto, King of Demons, Member of the Court of Demons

With the amount of gold you have, you could just buy it off whoever got it and have it melted down. Everyone wins.
-
Endgame, you have a gift for battle balancing passive specials. I think your quests use passive specials the best, so I'm stealing tons of them.
