This is not Haldor's quest. I miss -Haldor. I'm excited to get him back under my control so I can push his buttons a little more.

I wish heroes ate plot devices more often. Haldor, would you like to eat Wren at the beginning of Quest 53? Arthur can give you tips on eating NPCs!

Heroica RPG - Quest #54: Taking Out the Laundry

Boomingham staggers back from the duel hits. He glances up at Barty. "Now would be a good time for a heal from your God," he mumbles. "If I go down, take your next chance to get me back up, Ellaria. Harkenshire, keep Sedi pinned down." Boomingham attempts to heal himself in the front row. Battle Order Boomingham Harkenshire Ellaria -
I'd be really interested to hear which ones still intrigue people who didn't play through them! Tell me some stand outs!! NPCs, villains, BATTLES in particular that still interested you!

I'm re-reading it right now! I purposely stole Daneeka (where else would a name like that come from...) from it, but I didn't recall theres a minor character named Wren. And while we're talking about Zepher literature, there's a character named after (one) of my favorite authors, and a character named (not too secretly) after a character from one of my other favorite author's books. Can anyone find those two? They aren't that hard to track down.

While rereading my favorite book of all time, I discovered that I ripped Wren's name (unintentionally) and Daneeka's (from the Guffington quests... he had a small role in the first, but will expand in time) name (intentionally) from it. Can anyone, without google, tell me what book it is? I promise, it's actually a classic and not obscure!

"Hm, not the best position we could be in, but certainly not the worst. Harkenshire, sit tight in the back row, recover your thoughts, but keep that shield of your's raised. Ellaria, if I happen to go down, I'd appreciate that you pick me back up next round. I think I need to be up for us to survive the round. As it is, if you wouldn't mind taking on Gulk for the time being, that'd be wonderful." Boomingham turns to Sedi. "Shall we continue?" Battle Order Boomingham Ellaria Harkenshire -
Psh! Excuses! ( ) Speaking of the Embassy... are species bios coming up... soon?

S'okay! It's been moving very quickly so far (small quests rock! I'm hosting 3-5 players from here on in, those are good numbers). Hopefully you're traveling to your bricks and will build something for me! You're one of the final ones I'm waiting for.

It is quite frankly strange how few comments you have in this topic in comparison to the level of your work! Very nice series of scenes! Your detailing of the ground is superb, and your blending of colors is just spot on! I love the yellow grass in the first scene, the colors and shapes of the castle in the second (along with the simplicity you used to achieve a real stone hewn look). The way you designed stocks is awesome, and your use of walls (curved! ) is also superb. The colors and layering of the ground in #4 is also impressive. No complaints, really, wish I could advise you to work on something, but this looks very nice!

What an absolutely incredible use of Lego. As others have said, this is more art with a Lego base... but it's INCREDIBLE art with a Lego base. The pieces still feel playful enough that they pay proper homage to their Lego bases, and the art aspect of them is literally astounding. Color me very impressed.

Worse comes to worse you can head back in with Flare! Awesome! I want her around . She's got quite a few friends and foes waiting for her.

Heroica RPG - Quest #54: Taking Out the Laundry

"Fine, fine, no healing. I'll go after Sedi and see if I can't get him gushing a bit of blood. Ellaria and Harkenshire, if you wouldn't mind teaming up on Gulk, I'd really appreciate it. Onwards." -
I've made three or four drafts for that quest... but I'm not sure about it. I'm not as in love with it. I'll perhaps continue to workshop it. Guffington will be a bit of a murder mystery too, but I think I've reworked it enough that it won't be too similar to the one we just saw.

Did the counterstrike work or not? It's not listed in the actions, but it is in the description? Boomingham picks back up his sword and swings at Gulk. "Not exactly what I wanted, Barty, but I'll take it. Let's try to heal again next round." Just in case it comes to auto running. For Round 8 we'll all keep our targets, except I'll heal from the front row instead of attacking. -
Yes indeed. The first hints for that quest will be dropped in this one. Guffington, Russel and Wren will all interconnect eventually. And then I'll have to figure out a party for that quest. I think the next quest coming your way after this one will be a Russel one in the spring, and a Guffington one over the summer? But I'm not sure quite yet. Does anyone have a preference for which one they'd like to see first?

One of my goals in this game is to go into the Fields of Glory with Cronk, Christopher, Maurice and Alexandre. Seriously, one of my only goals. Every time we got Guardian Angel, we'd auto-run. We could power through the fields in a matter of days. The Wren Quest sigh-ups end in... a week. There is a slight chance I'll extend them a bit... but it's not likely. I am also seriously considering extending an invitation to Tesni, Hybros and Tarn if they get back before a certain plot point. People pull replacements for quests, don't see why I shouldn't be able to add 3 people to the quest after it departs. Though that's assuming a) they'd be interested b) Sandy approves and c) they get back in time for the plot point. Pandora, will Nyx be signing up? I hope so, but if you're busy, I understand.

Heroica RPG - Quest #54: Taking Out the Laundry

OoC: Gulk should still be bleeding. Boomingham flexes his hands and rams his sword into the ground, where it rests. Seeing Gulk still fumbling after his last attack, and the charismatic leader preparing to rush him again, Boomingham turns to Barty. "Want to try an old trick?" he asks, and the two prepare to attempt to heal the Paladin, though they remain in the front row. -
It's actually totally up to the QMs discretion. Sandy has covered it before. The battle can sometimes be re-entered right afterwards, sometimes be encountered later, and sometimes never come back up, depending on how the QM wants to play it. As for 42... I think Flare may have just forgotten. That looks like what it might be. The steak does say a "successful hit", which happened, so I think that Flare may have just been in a rush to do the round and over looked it.

"Are you actually going to let me swing this time?" Boomingham asks. Barty shrugs. "Everyone, same as last time, leave the leader alone." Same order, same action. -
Galen: Hates spiders, has got a thing for Proggs. I think we need more adult themes like Progg wooing in this game anyway.

"Harkenshire, don't fire on their leader. Focus your fire on Sedi instead." "Gulk, I'm coming for you once again, big boy." Same action, same order.
