Village of the Bloody Damned: Day Cycle 1
Sandy replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
So, there are some filthy breathers in our village, eh? We must take 'em down before kill any more of our kin - or worse yet, bring in some 'edge'ogs! Dressed as our fam'ly and neighbours, eh...? *looks at her pumpkin of a cousin* Wilbur! I can't believe it of ye! Me own cousin replaced by a breather! No way, not on my watch! *throws the pumpkin to the ground, squashing it* Oh Wilbur, it was ye after all... -
Vote: Frank White/ WhiteFang Going with the little we've come to know, this seems like the most sensible option.

Haha, really? And thank you all for your kind words, it's so great to know my work has been noticed and followed. It really makes publishing them here worthwhile.
-
Umm, I don't know... Is someone interested in doing that? It would be nice to see someone else's interpretation about the world and the story, but on the other hand I'd encourage people to create something of their own instead.

Which is also known as a cabbage. I have to say, with three deaths taking place on one night, I'm starting to get worried. We were doing great earlier, so we have to shape up again, alright?

Really nice, it actually looks like a real LEGO set the way you've built it. The Burrows is actually a fantastic set with a multitude of great pieces and magnificent minifigs and accessories. As you've proven, you can easily turn the set into a less quirky looking house that fits well in a rural or medieval village, for example.

Village of the Bloody Damned!: Sign-Up
Sandy replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I wish to play, good sire. Me name is Cassandra, and me fam'ly moved 'ere from the misty moors of Scotland in the ages past. When I was but a wee lass, me face was eaten by a rabid 'edge'og, and I've been livin' be'ind this mask ever since, if ye was wondering what it's all about. I enjoy some gothic music and nocturnal gravestone kickings, so I consider meself quite 'armless compared to some of the other folks that live down 'ere, good sire, but if ye bring a 'edge'og anywhere near me, ye'll be sorry fer it fer the rest of yer greatly shorten'd life! O', and if ye're wonderin' 'bout the pumpkin, 'e's me cousin, Wilbur. You can just ignore 'im, really. -
Ended? Frankly said, I don't know it myself. I only planned the story into the point where the twin sisters meet, so there really was no ending in sight. There was going to be a forced wedding between Beatrix and the orc king, though, but fortunately nobody will never get to witness that.

With a heavy heart I have to announce that I'm not continuing Queens' Quest anymore. I guess time just drove by it, and my motivations lie elsewhere now. My collection has grown immensely during my "career" of making LEGO comics and keeps growing still, so I constantly want to try new things with my new figs and pieces. Even though I still cherish the characters and the world I've created for this setting, I want to move away from the stereotypical high fantasy setting. I will now start disassembling the QQ-related MOCs I've stored for half a year (and probably cry myself to sleep tonight ), so this comic is cancelled for good. My apologies for anyone who was still waiting for a new chapter. But as I hinted above, I'm making this decision because there's a whole new comic coming up. I've already written scripts for the three first chapters of it, and it's going to be soooo much fun - especially for fans of a certain videogame franchise. So there's something to look forward to. PS. Links to all of my comics here will forever be stored in my "About Me" -page in my profile.

I love the amount of buildings and details in this MOC, and I'm sure it must've taken a whole lot of time and effort to make. Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes is my favorite building in this bunch, and the lighting effects in the Gringotts underground are quite impressive. I think you left maybe too much space into this MOC, however, and built it in a slightly bigger scale than you would've needed. Like gotoAndLego above me said, it doesn't feel like the alley it should be. I know it'll make photographing and placing minifigures much harder, but you should definitely narrow it down. The interiors of the buildings are a bit too spacious and high as well, at least comparing to the furniture and other details that they hold. Also, shrubbery and palm branches really don't belong to central London. Try lampposts and store signs instead. Anyway, this is a very nice MOC and it funnily coincides with the upcoming official Diagon Alley set. Good job!

Halloween Mini-Month Avatar Contest! VOTE NOW!
Sandy replied to Shadows's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Here's my Halloweeny avatar, made in the honor of the absolutely fantastic new Harry Potter -sets. -
I'm also in favor of having more night actions in a game. It might not be the traditional Mafia-game some of you are accustomed to, but it doesn't mean that type of games are less fun either, just different. I'm glad my Hogwarts Mafia managed to broaden the perspective of what a Mafia-type game could be, but of course I don't mean every game should mimic it. It's important for every host to make a game that they feel most comfortable hosting, regardless of the demands of the potential players, because as past games have proven, people will still compete to play in any game anyway.

I haven't been able to find it anywhere in central Lahti yet, but I hope it comes to the stores soon.

I'm also eager to hear what our stylist has to say. There's been a real draught of information so far. Oh yeah, but first things first: Vote: Erik King/kingofthezempk

I'm pretty sure that was the "lynch in the morning". This game of life just has a different approach to them.

I just received my order that included Dobby's Release, Hagrid's Hut, the Burrows and the Hogwarts Castle, and I have to say I'm in LEGO heaven. Sooooo high on bricks now, hehe! I've built everything except the Hogwarts, which I'm opening up as soon as I finish this message. Believe me, the pictures don't do enough justice for these amazing sets. Especially the Burrows is so chockfull of brilliant details that you simply have to experience it yourself before realizing just how wonderful it is. Okay, enough of the praises, time to build some more.

Another safe but confusing night behind us, eh? I am relieved that I made the right decision with voting against Carrie Price. Let's smoke out her boss as soon as possible, alright? It looks like he's gained the ability to kill as well as convert, so we may find ourselves in deep trouble quite fast.
-
My oh my, this town sure is spiralling down to hell very rapidly.
-
Vote: Carrie Price/CallMePie I apologize if this turns out to be wrong, but I don't think we have other options at this point.
-
Good morning, everyone. It seems that the unfortunate fate of Rick the mechanic has brought some important information to the daylight. However, I'm not one to take anything of face value. Nothing has proven that Shaun Dows is a townie, and nothing has proven that Carrie Price wouldn't be scum. All I can tell is that it seems Mr. Dows has been blessed with extraordinarily many abilities, but Officer Price has still got some explaining to do before I buy her innocence. Now it's just one person's word against anothers. I for one have never heard of this Night Watch stuff before now, so could this be the two Mafia families butting heads?
-
I have to congratulate you on the fantastic, unconventional color choice you've made with the combination of lime green, dark tan and dark red. It really gives your MOC a unique vibe, as do the Exo-force faces. Sure, they're cartoonish, but how is that a bad thing? It makes your MOC look like something from the pages of Asterix comic books. Splendid job!
-
I agree with the stylist that we must not jump to conclusions, not just yet. We were told of the two Mafia families getting wiped out almost completely, but who knows what other factions our town hides besides them? I'm afraid we were just lucky that nobody got killed last night... By the way, I was very busy arranging things at my workplace yesterday, but I believe I can contribute more to this discussion from now on.

Talking about sexism, am I the only one who has wondered why of the 42 residents of the town of Eurodina only 6 are female? I'm just glad my character is married, so all the single men will have to direct their interests elsewhere.

General Discussion and Announcements
Sandy replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yeah, Shadows, everybody who has followed this topic knows about it already. As a matter of fact, we've made some progress with the project, but it still needs a whole lot of work, so don't expect it to start anytime soon. If all goes well, it's going to be the most awesomestess game that has ever graced this forum.
