  1. We have had about 40 active players at all times, and we still do. Plus we just had a fresh wave of new players. Sure, there are long quests, but there's also plenty of short ones. So I don't really see the problems you're addressing there. What we really need is more quests and other activities, so people don't get bored. And I can't provide them all by myself, so people who are eager to host something should contact me. Just a hint: if you're pitching for your first quest, keep it simple and clean. Not every quest needs to be about saving the world.
  2. QM Note: We were waiting for me to get a good night's sleep. Different timezones, remember? The winged monkeys dragged Throlar into the monochromatically green mansion. Inside, there were stalls where people playing different games in exchange for gold. Above it all was a balcony with a throne, and on that throne sat a man wearing a green crown. "Kneel before the Emerald Emperor, dwarf!" But the crowned man just laughed out loud and waved his hand. "Haha! Bufkin, there's no reason to scare our guests like that! Making them cower usually makes their purses tighter, you know?" "Your majesty, this is no guest of ours. The people he arrived with commited a hideous deed. They murdered Grimelda, the tavern keeper!" The grin on the Emerald Emperor's face vanished in that instant. "WHAT?!" The whole hall went silent. Everyone's eyes turned on Throlar.
  3. I hear you, but I kinda fear that if the requirements for the second character were lowered (eg. down to Level 40), people would just put their current character on the back-burner and focus on their new one, meaning we wouldn't see most of the Expert, Veteran or Master Classes in use at all. I know you could play of them at the same time, but there's really not enough quests around for a wealth of new characters, either - remember that several people are near or past Level 40 already. So yeah, I don't think the "time" for second characters is quite yet. But I do encourage more people to head to the Fields and grab those Medals of Glory to make their progress faster.
  4. But you already get a second character when the first character hits Level 50, so there's really no point in these "sidekicks".
  5. QM Note: Of course I can autoroll, if all party leaders agree to that. I can't make decisions for you, remember? Besides, this battle has only lasted six "rounds" so far, the only thing that has dragged it was my unfortunate absence in the middle, to which I apologized. You might be pleased to hear that the final battle is going to be a straightforward one, without any gimmicks.
  6. Captain Buwakhareen listened Throlar's rant before finally stopping him. The crowd had began to disperse, finding better things to spend their nights at than a rambling dwarf. "Alright, I've heard enough. Guards, make sure the witness does not bail on us. I'll go check the tavern." The metasimian returned to Throlar a moment later. "The proprietress' body was in the barrel, as you said. Your so-called companions had fled through the back, though. I'll arrange a search party, but first you will have to tell your story to the Emerald Emperor. Grimelda was his close friend, so I imagine he will not be pleased." As the winged monkeys began to walk Throlar towards the green casino, the rest of the party hid in the backalleys. "The gates are closed for the night, remember. We won't be leaving this city anytime soon. They will find us sooner or later if we huddle up like this. The captain of the guards seemed like competent fellow." "What do you suggest we do, then?" "We split up. There's a lot of people on the streets, so we have better chance to blend in if we act like casual tourists." What will the party decide to do?

  8. I apologize, but I can't see a single reason why a personal helper would be a beneficial thing. It would only make the battles even more unbalanced and complicated, and roleplaying wise they would be very hard to fit into the storylines. So yeah, let's just stick with everyone controlling one character at a time for now.
  9. Lo and behold, I made your wish come true a month ago.
  10. I think you mean character conduct. Bad player conduct would be eg. spamming topics with nonsense and insulting other players. So glad we've never seen that happen before.
  11. The finalized rule page for the Scholar is ready! I also made a few more tweaks to the Battle Songs.
  12. QM Note: Yes, Throlar picked it up. Having gotten fed up with his comrades, Throlar stormed out of the False Wizard, only to be met by a confused crowd, including Captain Buwakhareen and his winged monkeys. "Someone yelled for guards. Can you explain why?" Meanwhile, inside the tavern the party had hidden Grimelda's body into a large barrel. The assassin had vanished with the smoke, leaving the party in a bind. "So, will we make use of the back door now, or stay here to explain all the blood?"
  13. QM Note: Each party has the option to not attack, but Forculus can only be defeated if all doors are defeated in unison. Endgame's plan here is to make each door weak, increasing the chances of defeating them all in one go. Otherwise we might be stuck in this phase for a looong time...
  14. ~A new quest has been posted on the Quest Board (#105 by Endgame)!~
  15. QM Note: My bad! It's fixed now. Results of the Four Doors Battle (Take Five) South: >Karie uses Scroll of Frailty on Forculus - Success (Forculus: fragile; Karie: -1 ether) Sorrow vs. Forculus - Lethal Aim (Forculus: 200 health-(15x2=30 dmg)=170 health) Hugin vs. Forculus - Hit (Forculus: 170 health-(41x2=82 dmg)=88 health) At the Entrance Hall, Karie again makes the door fragile, but Sorrow and Hugin are not strong enough to destroy the regenerated demon. 16. Kinda like some women are always 29, right?
  17. For such a smart person, he seems to be relying on violence and brash actions an awful lot. Just saying.
  18. Loving the Spooky Girl, it is indeed a mixture of Wednesday Addams and Samara/Sadako from The Ring. You're describing a Fairy Godmother, not a princess. I'm really rooting for a first-ever pink sloped dresspiece. Or did I already say it.
  19. Detraehd blinks in confusion. "I did no such thing! But could your theory be possible? I saw Red Vixen pour something extra into each of your drinks, so I assumed the Wolfgang tried to do you in. But if you're not enemies of the Wolfgang, then you must be..." Suddenly the assassin threw a smoke bomb on the floor. "Sure thing." Just as the assassin's smoke bomb went on, Throlar jumped over the counter and found an opened flask containing blue liquid. Sedative (Use on a weapon to make it cause the asleep-effect on any enemy it hits for the duration of one battle.)
  20. It's one of the CMF ones, I think. They're all so similar I can't name it right off the bat.
  21. Hearing Throlar's cries, Walbartan and Orokai appeared to the door. "Is it the mutants again? Damn, I'm too big to enter!" "What is it? Can i help?" Nur's thorough search resulted in finding a letter from the proprietress' apron. It was written with the same handwriting as the letter they found on the mercenaries at Dim Haven. "I don't know what it is you have done, but the Wolfgang obviously wants you out of their way. You can find the vial of poison behind the counter if you don't believe me." As Nur grabs Grimelda's body, the assassin points the large barrel next to the stairs. "That's the fastest way to dispose of her body. You can take her upstairs, too, but thanks to your friend, we might not have the time. We should head out through the back now." "Just wait a minute! Who are you and why should we follow you anywhere? Wasn't it you who killed this woman?" "I am Detraehd Loc, a Red Assassin on a mission. You don't want to cross with me, pongcanis."
  22. QM Note: You're right, I forgot to edit the stats after Throlar got his stuff back. I auto-sold your Murky Pearl at the start of the quest, but I restored it to your inventory if you think you have other use for it. I don't know what happened with the potions, though, since you did not begin with them.
  23. I apologize, I did not neglect the lore you created for the faction on purpose. I just didn't follow your quest with that much attention, and details like that tend to be forgotten over time even if I did read about it back then.
  24. Ellaria has been celebrating her birthday each anniversary as well. She's turning 24 this August. Wow, how the time flies...
  25. They're just fancy tattoos, can't you tell?
