  1. I unfortunately do not have the luxury of trusting others with major decisions for the main storyline without me knowing about it. I know it might be the more creative option, but I do not want to have to go through all this planning and preparing just to see it washed down the drain just because someone else decided to make the proggs the new rulers of Eubric out of a sudden.

  5. I think you're somewhat astray in that there'd be a certain status quo I wanted to uphold for the entirety of the game. There has already been twists to the main storylines, and there's going to many more. It's just that introducing each house and all the important people took a lot of time, and I'm only getting to the point where I have all the pieces on the board, so the shuffling can begin. I get your point that you'd like other QM's to be able to affect the main storyline as well. The thing is, I've never denied it. I just want to know about it beforehand, and if the suggested twist horribly screws up my plans, I will reject it. You have to realize that when you're weaving a storyline of this scale, you don't want to be surprised. For the record, Nemo Bonaparte had a huge chance of dying in Quest#58, but the party decided otherwise. You would've gotten your "slightly different Eubric" back then if they had chosen to side with Reno. Another example, Nuitan and Lyren had a chance of dying both in #43 and #93, had the party failed to save them. So if you want to feature one of the major NPCs and risk his or her life, just ask. Who knows, I might condone.

  7. I have my fingers crossed this change is for the better of this game and not for the worse... But I'm not ready to make the change yet, so have some more patience! It's possible for sure, but the character would need to start at Level 1 and with a basic job class, just like everyone else. And of course the QM's permission is the key here.
  8. Thanks for your input, guys! I've decided to remove the effect of lucky and jinxed from Mixture, and changed the pretty useless "Cluster Bomb" into a "Baffle Bomb" which causes 15 damage and confusion to all enemies. Scuba, take notice!

  10. The requirement for the second character isn't that he or she has to be a blood relative to the first character, just acquainted somehow. Sorrow has lived for hundreds of years, certainly he's met an army of people during that time.

A suggestion to the issue with second characters: (And yes, I'm moving the discussion again. ) Since the second characters were meant as a reward to those dedicated to this game, how would it sound if the requirement for getting one would be changed to completing 10 quests successfully or hosting at least 5 quests? Would that encourage people to try out hosting quests, do you think? This means that the requirements for accessing the Veteran Job Classes might be changed as well, requiring Level 40 and the Veteran's Badge item (which would be made more readily available).

  19. Still trying to move the discussion here... I have to ask, why? Sure, there are people who enjoy writing to the Hall, but that's not even nearly all of us. This game is about the quests that people embark, allowing them to progress both statistically and story-wise. Heroica Hall is just the "waiting lounge" for that. Having too many heroes in the Hall has had catastrophic consequences (which are better left ignored) in the past, too, so it is by no means a desirable situation.

  21. A question regarding the Alchemist's Mixture: How would you feel about replacing Cluster Bomb with Doomsday Bomb, and have the 6+6 result be another Explosion? I feel the special items that the class can create, plus their "Instant Items" trait make them very powerful, so I'd like to add more risk to the Shield-skill (since there's a very low risk at rolling Explosion now).
