Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 15

*sigh* I guess we should WAIT before we dump 'em. ... But we're not letting you back up. It's a good thing NERD stands for Not Even Remotely Dorky. -
I was referring to "socializing America" and "throwing him under the bus" as political opinions, not the history of your presidents.

Zach put pressure on the wound while Mark raised the needle. "Hold on! Could someone please get me the gun the alien used?" Robert asked. Adam rushed off to grab it. When he came back, his face was grim. "The gun has a cartridge and bullets. We'll have to take the shot out." Melody bent forward eagerly () but Oky held up his hand. "You've got blood and dirt all over your hands - we don't want the wound to get infected." And that was how Adam ended up with his hand in Bob's stomach, which he would tell you later was "not pleasant." Eventually, he produced a small ball of metal. "Gross. Luckily, it seemed to miss the digestive tracks; it just skimmed his appendix. Unfortunately, it's inflamed: we'll have to remove it." Once again, the group searched frantically, this time for a knife. Jack produced one and stuck it in his wounded companion. "Artery... clot... pelvis... eww, I don't want to know what that is... appendix!" They heard a small slit! noise, and they all cheered. Their euphoria was cut short from a bloodcurdling screech from Bob. "He's awake!" Sam yelled. John whacked him across the head, and he was out cold again. "Nice one," Sam muttered. Mark approached Bob once more, threading the needle. "WAIT! Don't we have to, put something on the appendix cut?" Melody interjected. Mark faltered for a moment, and they heard another slit! sound. "Well, GREAT!" he shouted as fluid poured from Bob's body. Their comrade was nearly dead, and it was doubtful that they could save him. After a few deep breaths, Mark continued sewing, figuring that there was nothing they could do to stop the flow. Five long minutes later, the survivors rejoiced once more when Mark stepped back to reveal a red scar next to Bob's naval. Like before, though, their mood dropped. How could Bob survive this?

Can we kill them, but keep them on the train at the same time? -

Let's wait until we go uphill again. Then we'll throw 'em off. -
Guys, let's remember that in addition to this point made by KimT, Eurobricks is a largely politics-free site. I respect your views and opinions (some of which I share) but here is not the place to tell me them. I suggest we use this thread to talk about the death of Mr. Ted Kennedy (I don't know much about him; he must be big in the United States).

You call this five-star service?! When staff can be CRUEL and HOMICIDAL towards innocent... oh, wait. Well, whatever! I'm just looking for people to throw off the train and reduce the weight. If you're a tad wussy, we don't HAVE to deal with them. We'll let the justice system do that! -

Alright, Shmelt, pile on the Euro-wit. Ok, so which one of you is fattest? -
Fantastic! I love Popeye Siegfried. Now get to work on my request!

I'm talking about the "cried in a scared voice" stuff, too.

Oh, can we cut down on all the "make-Adam-seem-like-a-noob" stuff?

NOT IT! Why don't we lose the dining car or something? -
Guns fired, and the Phantoms were soon destroyed. With no immediate threat, the group was finally able to assess the newcomers. "Do we have to get attacked every three seconds?" Bob muttered. Privately, most of the others agreed. Adam turned to Sam. "Alright, 'Smart Man,' start talking." The Naval officer soon found a dozen guns pointing his way. "I told you. The name's Sam McBricks, captain of the SS Republic. The war came, it blew up, and I found myself cramped thousands of leagues underwater in an escape pod." Jack cleared his throat. "He's telling the truth." Everyone lowered their weapons. "Now will someone please tell me why we're traveling with a second generation robot?!" Sam asked angrily. "Not a second gen," Zach said, "three second generation robots. Now -" "- Is that supposed to make me feel any better? -" "- Adam, Robert and I were captured by the robots..." And so he repeated what he had told the others back on the 300th floor. Sam still looked confused and cautious. "So what are these Rogue things? Spies? Robots? Aliens - what's up with them, too?" CC explained this time. "No one knows much about them. They're slightly deformed humans that travel in clans. We're right now heading off to find out more about them." "That's about right," Bob nodded, "We're a tad clueless about aliens, too. We do know that they created the second generation robots." He paused. "And us." "So where are we going now?" Sam asked. "Where are the Rogues and aliens?" "Full of questions, aren't you?" Oky shrugged. "We're sorta just... winging it," he grinned.

I was hoping we could have, like, PLOT - not just tricked out superhumans with a cool name. We don't need to add so many things to the story. Why don't we develop the alien/robot/super-robot plot? There's a lot of questions there.

What the Jethro?! Wasn't it the nationally syndicated doofus Willy Brown that suggested we go on the roof in the first place?! Twenty minutes ago you were all SO eager to get us in the dining car. CONSPIRACY? I THINK SO! *begins rant* FIRST, we're all set to be seated in the dining car. Then, long after Willy Brown FORCED us the OPTION to go onto the roof this Jackie Chan knockoff is gluing us to the top of the train we should RIGHTFULLY be in! IS THIS JUSTICE?! NO!!! IS THIS LIBERTY?! NO!!! IS THIS AMERICA?! I THINK IT IS!!! SHOULD WE BE SUBJECTED TO THIS UNFAIR TREATMENT?! NO!!! WILL WE FORM A UNION AND TURN CORRUPT?! OF COURSE WE WILL!!! I think it's high time we found out who these villains are - ONCE and FOR ALL! Because right now, I don't think I'm gonna make it out of this town alive if I stay on that roof - and I think these brigands are at fault for this notion!!! -

Umm, is staying on the roof safe? OF COURSE NOT! If we don't fly off because of the speed, we'll be flattened at the first tunnel! This is all a scheme to get the townies dead, lead by the TOWN COUNCIL! I am staying IN the dining car or IN the Crocodile (or in a room if there are any nice train people ) but NOT on the roof! Though perhaps it is best I stay in the Croc and not the Dining Car... -
I find R&C to be far more entertaining than J&D. Of course, both of them are different in many ways, despite working side by side: eg. the gadgets and weapons, different worlds, city environments, plots, etc. Unfortunately, I still don't have a PSP, so I can't say anything about the other Jak games (and I don't have Jak 3). I loved Crash Team Racing... I was hoping they'd release it as a PSN download (though Pixel Junk is very good).
