I now appreciate "skirt" makers
Mr. Lego-builder replied to KMOI's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Do you have any preliminary sketches, plans or designs? If you do, I might just have a quick fix for it. -

Do you have a picture to go with that example? As being not a Star Wars fan, I don't know all the characters. -
That is because you have your own website. ;) For the rest of us, Mocpages, "interlaced" with the abilities of Brickshelf, is a great online gallery for your LEGO pictures. On Mocpages, you get to describe each image for a better understanding of each picture. Best of all, it's free.

1993 LEGO World Expo "Pirates Ahoy" Souvenir Booklet
Mr. Lego-builder replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Great, now I feel left out... :'( Anyways, I'm confused. Is the book on actual pirates, or LEGO pirates? *wacko* If it was on LEGO pirates, I apologize. I thought it was for true-to-life pirates. :$ So, under these circumstances: If real pirates: Still a no, sorry. ;) If LEGO pirates: Change my vote to a YES! :D -
How can you be corrected for not finding RuneScape fun? If you didn't like it, then you didn't like it. Nobody else can decide whether you liked it. Unless of course its me, in which case you'll like what I tell you to like :^D Actually was trying to go along the lines of "if there are more advanced features available to make it not as boring, post it here" ;) But, tjb tyranno here just explained the privliges of being a member. ;)

I was just about to mention that. We should give most credit to you since there was another thread that had your discovery, but Bloody Jay locked it up. ;)

Just clearing things up, there, Jipay.

I have a reply over there now. Go check it out if you want, but here's a quote (from myself): This means it is a seperate promotion. Not the same series as with the pudding.

It's given away at LEGOLAND Windsor with the purchase of a Kid's Meal.

Hmm....It worked before when I watched it yesterday... Did something go wrong when you were editing, Phes?

What the Unholy Lama thinks of modern LEGO
Mr. Lego-builder replied to Mister Phes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Sorry if I misunderstood you, Mr. Phes. BTW, what did the Unholy Lama say when he saw the dreaded 4+ Pirates?! :o I hope it's not too devestating to hear! :oo -
Sorry if you missed out chewie, but remember this: Eurobricks CLUES Contest? Well, courtesy of The Brickster and Bloody Jay, we are just making our characters out of LEGO minifigures to explore the murder mystery mansion. I'm sorry if you wanted to join us, but, the contest sign ups are now CLOSED... >-|

What the Unholy Lama thinks of modern LEGO
Mr. Lego-builder replied to Mister Phes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Remember...World City is NOT the same as City... City has a modern, yet classic feel to it. I, as a City/Town fan from the day I first looked at LEGO, I should know. Having my uncle, now a AFOL, he was also a fan of Town, passing down his sets to me, and yes, I do agree that the older Town sets were superior to the City line nowadays, but give TLC some time and the new sets might, I(n) M(y) H(umble) O(pinion), surpass our (or at least my) expectations, as far as City/Town sets go. -
What the Unholy Lama thinks of modern LEGO
Mr. Lego-builder replied to Mister Phes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, I hope he enjoys the 2005 catalog! Seems like he hates the products in 2004 so far... And I feel sorry for your unholy lama. Transitioning from the classic ways of LEGO to modern design is hard. -
MORE BREAKING (AND GOOD) NEWS!! Straight from Jake McKee on Lugnet: YAY! Mocpages is coming back! Finally, some good news! On another note, congrats to Sean Kenney on the marriage and honeymoon! :')

The waiting annoys me. Just to see it on T.V., there has to be a long period of time from the premier of the movie to about 3 or 4 year before it appears on T.V. This is because they have to wait until the movie is not shown in theaters anymore, then they go and edit out the parts of the original movie that the broadcast company doesn't want you to see and then they air it. A long wait for a short process. >-|

Yay! Brickshelf isn't going away! Good news! And about the instruction scans copyright thing, I really don't think TLC minds, as long as there are no noticable alterations and that somewhere in the scans, it has TLC's copyright (with the date of production, TLC's name, etc...) Besides, this site has about 1,000 different building intructions. That's way more than Brickshelf, and it has been up for quite some time now, so I guess TLC won't sue if you have the right disclaimers and clearly shown copyrights.

Mr. Lego-builder replied to Christian's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Thanks Hobbes! I hope now that there aren't anymore mistakes...
