Eurobricks CLUES Murder Mystery Contest
Mr. Lego-builder replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I know we all want our hands on the prizes, but be patient. :P Brickster can only add your name when he is actually online... ;) -
Well guess what I got in the mail today?
Mr. Lego-builder replied to The Middleman's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Speaking of reviews, what happened to the one on the City mobile crane that you said you would write? (If I'm correct, that was a LONG time ago.) Did you change your mind and not write it, or did I just miss it? And one more question. Does this castle actually have a back or 4 sides to it? Or it is designed like the previous KK2 castle (having no back)? -

Eurobricks CLUES Murder Mystery Contest
Mr. Lego-builder replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
How is this going to work? If someone already chooses one set, does the other winner automatically get the other one? Or do you have 2 of each set? --------------------------------------------------- And about the actual story, is it going to be written here, or someplace else? -

I have a question. When the mystery is going on, are we allowed to discuss it here? Probably not, but I'm just asking. -

I'm sure anyone can participate, as long as they behave and don't give too many clues away... ;) -
Where is the LEGO Logo on...?
Mr. Lego-builder replied to Mister Phes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
As as all-time town fan, I am familar with these pieces, even though I have never actually had one to build with, but I would very much want to have some in my grasp... -
The new kk2 sets on Ebay

Jipay, isn't there Amazon everywhere? Just look, there's: ~www.amazon.com (U.S.) ~www.amazon.co.uk (United Kingdom) ~www.amazon.ca (Canada) ~www.amazon.de (Germany) ~www.amazon.co.jp (Japan) ~www.amazon.at (Austria) ~www.amazon.fr (France) But I don't know about the selection of products the sites, other than amazon.com and most of amazon.ca, becuase I don't know any of the languages. :P P.S. Correct me on the locations if you see any mistakes, because I'm not sure on a couple of them... -
Well, from our previous posts, we are pretty sure that LEGO's not releasing any medical line this year, but there is still hope for the upcoming years. I hope. I hope.

OOOOooooooo....Nice! I'm looking forward to this one, Brickster. I think I'll join in the discussion of this mystery. I was a bit too late for the last murder mystery. -
I believe that there is already a thread about the dreaded topic of juniorization, anyone who wants to discuss this can go there. I can't find the link just now, but I know it's there somewhere. And I'll leave this topic to the more on-topic posters. :D

We all would like to go back and revisit those times, wouldn't we? It's a total "YES" for me.
-
That would seem like the case. And it probably is, but in TLC's minds producing a huge hunk of plastic SAVES money, when in reality, using normal, readily available pieces would save them the work out of designing and producing new pieces, therefore, making the production of the new pieces cost more money.
-
Absolutely, Phes. The back dump truck piece THE MOST <insert that tiresome argument> piece, followed by the crane support piece, but at least this piece has a use.
-
Tsk, tsk, tsk. It's not available in the U.S. :( We only have the regular set available.
-
Here are my thoughts: In this case, does anybody actually have the set? If anybody does, is the sticker covering the whole piece? If it is, he might of tried to color it red using a marker or something similar, and therefore, with the yellow background, it makes the red coloring look pink-ish in color.
-
I think most of you have already noticed, but just in case, for anybody who doesn't know, I'll mention it anyways: According to Brickset, the set is named "Paramedic." So does this really mean he is a doctor, or does he only have the skills to be a lower-ranked worker for the E(mergency) M(edical) T(reatment) service? And as in the U.S., there hasn't been much promotion of LEGO in products either. The last one was with Tropicana orange juice which included the choice between three mini dinosaur sets (similiar to the ones released with the candies in Japan), but that was like 6 months ago. Long expired.
-
Clear things up for us, Norro. ;) I also have no clue. *wacko* I know that Americans call what is "soccer" is in other countries "football", and in the U.S., "football" is a whole different game. (We in America are very weird folks. :| ) Is that what you mean by saying "footy"? I'm not at all a big sports fan, so I have no idea about the terms some people use.

The new kk2 sets on Ebay
Mr. Lego-builder replied to Christian's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
True. But sometimes the bargains on Amazon are much better than the ones in the other online stores. Trust me. I know. I have done a lot of comparison shopping lately. :-D -
In case you missed out on the news, it WAS already released--as a promotional set with the Dr.Oetker's pudding in Czech Republic, but sadly no hospital nor any other follow-up sets.
-
Yeah, you never know what happens or the amount of lies in store when the dreaded Microsoft company takes the stand. *wacko* And don't worry, ed_dotcom, I didn't say what I said because of what you said.
-
Good point there Phes. Sometimes, they just don't want their "secrets" exposed to the public. I bet there are also many other things that we don't even know about the LEGO company. Even though they are most likely to give you the surprise set near or at the end of the tour, I hope you can get the pictures ASAP. I look foward to that.
-
Actually, Phes, it's 5 words. :-D Anyways, I also agree that this is not humourous, but had a bad influence on the community. What if that happens again? I hope it doesn't happen again, yet alone having this "stunt-gone-wrong" happen already. They should have known better than that.
