  1. Imagination...that's the key to the quality in the LEGO sets. I hope they will never lose that. But it seems that they have lost alot of it since the past 6 or 7 years. The good thing is that they are regaining that. Slowly, but surely.
  2. A historial line would be nice. But I wonder how TLC will make Medusa's head if they did decide to make her in minifigure form. :/ And I also wonder how they are going to make a three headed minifigure (for the Gorgons' heads; including Medusa's)
  3. No doubt about it! City/Town sets all the way!! ;) :-D
  4. The suggested retail price is $90.00 USD for each. So I hope they were gifts or you bought them on clearance. ;)
  5. Yeah, great pictures. ;) However, I already posted a link to pictures. ;)
  6. Whatever it is, I like it! However, I'm more into "realistic" sci-fi. ;)
  7. But then again, without licencing, there would be no Star Wars products whatsoever. I know alot of people who would disapprove (excluding me).
  8. Right you are, Mr. Phes. However, the freaks at Hasbro doesn't allow this kind of production. If TLC does it again, Hasbro might get into a big affair with LEGO and Lucas-Films Productions.
  9. Yeah...But it was at the end of the day (last period) and it was steaming hot and humid and room was all stuffy . Latin is fun when it wants to be, but I'm not a Latin fanatic. ;) BTW, congrats on your Latin final score. I still don't know what I got (because I took it today), but fortunatly the test was easy. *satis* Sorry about going off topic for a while, so...back on topic!
  10. Currently Available Sets? Yes. However, take a look at this: This "set" of 30 Clone Troopers was presented to participants in a "Clone Building Contest." I believe this was a pretty long time ago. The extra box sets were once sold on Amazon.com. However, the sets sold out extremly quickly. (Guess why. :|)
  11. WOW!! This thread is getting really popular! I don't think I'll get one though. (I'm not really a castle/KK2 fan nor a good chess player). ;) And about the skeleton wife thing, isn't it a little wierd to actually MARRY a skeleton? I mean, is that even possible? :-D Too bad I couldn't be here earlier on today. At school, I had my first day of Latin final exams (and I hated it). :|
  12. HI! Welcome to our little friendly board. ;) Ahhh....yes. That reminds me of some other cat-like character. IMO, it looks alot like the Napster cat on the site where you download the music (Napster.com). It's just that the head is green instead of white... |-/ :P
  13. Uhhh....Phes, that was what this thread was about. The sets are NOW available over Amazon.com. However, LEGO S@H still doesn't have it. (Amazon had them before TLC officially released them for retail.
  14. Just an update: LEGO has the Jumping Giant and the Nitro Menace sets listed on their website on the RACERS products page. However, they still are not available over S@H as for now.
  15. Strange...very strange indeed... :D Why have that as your avatar? :-D LOL!
  16. Always pleased to help out! ;)
  17. Somehow, I got this set, even though I'm more of a City/Town fan. Anyways, here are my thoughts/a reveiw (no pictures, sorry): MAIN SET: Very good, realistic model. There are two parts to this set. The lower, tan half and the upper dark grey half. The bottom half has good design, having the Technic pieces as legs, giving the impression of mechanical legs. As for the main body, TLC used hinge bricks to create a rounded look to the model, instead of a blocky look. The grey part is removable from the bottom. The upper part is much more exciting than the bottom part, as there is a pod within a pod. The smaller, hatched pod is the one where the astronauts are fitted into. You can barely fit about 2 minifigures, with their backpacks. MINIFIGURES: There are two identical astronaut minifigures included with the set. They have white, unopenable backpacks; white helmets; and printed NASA torsos. One of them has an American Flag (which is a sticker). STICKERS: There are a few stickers. They are the American Flag sticker and a plain sticker reading: United States" One downside though, the American Flag sticker overlaps more than one block on the lander, but you can always not apply the stickers. ;) OVERALL: A really great set. A must have if you are into realistic space sets. For $60 Canadian ($48 USD), the price a little high for 467 pieces, but the great design and functionality of the model, along with the hours of fun that come with it pays for itself over time. RATING: I rate this set a 9/10. Only -1 for the overlapping sticker and the slightly high price. ;) :)
