Red Scare Mystery - Chapter Six
Walter Kovacs replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Allrighty then, I'll go upstairs and start searching the bathroom there. 9 x 11 seems like an odd paper size for the US of A. Anyone know what size paper they use in Europe nowadays, especially Eastern Europe? -
Your son definitely has some skills. That Y-Wing is excellent, and the RGS is very well done, too. The ARC-170 is probably the weakest, but even that is instantly recognizable. My son shows no skills like this. He's still into random brick piling, and absolutely no sense of color continuity. But he'll get there eventually.

Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club
Walter Kovacs replied to ADHO15's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Thanks for ADJing, Oky. Thanks for the duel, CF. That's only my second win against a higher ranked opponent. Of course, with only five wins, that's not saying much. Did you notice that last round KDM? I learned something from our duel . It's a shame I never get to use that kind of tactic. Now that I have a winning streak again, I feel the need to promptly lose it. Anyone game? -
Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Walter Kovacs replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
There's some debate whether the last two versions are better than the original version. I only own the motorized version, so I am in no position to answer those questions. -
Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - Day Two
Walter Kovacs replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Err, Jesus? I don't think this means what you think it means. If I read the rules right, you just voted against Shadows, and then turned right around and gave Shadows control of your vote. That's sorta like hitting him with a bat, then handing him two bats to hit you with. At any rate, I'm going to have to mull over everything we just learned for a few hours. -

Oh, I have no doubts it can happen. And if it does, then EVERYONE will have to admit I have the worst luck. DS Sent. No problem, my pleasure. -
Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - Day Two
Walter Kovacs replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I think what makes me really wonder if this is just an innocent mistake is the fact that King is still alive. Surely if there was something Sinister afoot, the King would be dead, right? Or can someone give a good example of a Night Action that the Sinisters could use, that doesn't lead to a death, that the Insanes wouldn't have access to? For that reason, I will not be voting for Jesus today. There're just too many questions for my conscience. -

Crap. I had in my notes that they had unvoted you, and that is not true at all. I'm sorry, you had every right to keep your vote on Cam. My sincerest apologies. -
Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - Day Two

I don't find your initial reasoning for voting for Cam suspicious. It's actually logical. What I find troubling is that you didn't remove your vote when Sandy and Cam removed theirs. -
Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - Day Two
Walter Kovacs replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Wait, a man's life hangs in the balance, and you are going to the bathroom? I think that whatever needs to be said should be said publicly. How else are people going to believe you are telling the truth? I for one don't want to get into a he said/she said over bathroom discussions. The stakes are too high. -
Star Wars Miniland to come in LEGOLand California
Walter Kovacs replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This is what caught my eye. Can't wait to see what they do for this. Do they use regular minifigs in minilands, or are they larger figures? I only ask because that Falcon looks to be just about minifig scaled. -

You would? You do realize that YOU are included in that group. Are you sure you don't belong in one of these wards and not in the Staff Lounge? -
Red Scare Mystery - Chapter Six

Are the kitchen and living room the only two rooms on the first floor? If there is a bathroom, I'd like to search through that. Description first, please. -
Harry Potter: Wizard's Duel - Duelling Club

Round 3 Okay Turkaglu vs Diana Fabray Health - 4 Health - 4 Expelliarmus - 0 Expelliarmus - 0 Stupefy - 0 Crucio - 0 High - 1 Low - 0 Sectumsempra-Low - 2 Mid - 0 Mid - 0 High - 1 Health - 3 Health - 1 After staring at each other for a few moments, catching their breath, Okay and Diana resumed their duel. Firing two spells in rapid succession, both combatants were disappointed to see their spells produce red sparks between tehm. Seeing an advantage, Diana tried a hex to the legs, but instead caught a charm to the midsection that dropped her to one knee. With his opponent distracted, the Auror unleashed a Sectumsempra curse, and again Diana felt the sting of hundreds of flaying cuts. In desparation, she tried a hex to Okay's head, and was satisfied to see it connect. The crowd rushed forward to help Okay to his feet, and in the confusion, Diana dis-apparated away, defeated... Winner: Okay Turkaglu. Update your profiles accordingly. And I think each round you guys cancelled each others' Expelliarmus. I swear sometimes it seems like you are sending DSs to each other. -
Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - Day Two

So you're saying that anyone could have taken your wig and clothes. And what is actually happening in that photo is still not quite clear. I'd like to hear from the King to see if he has anything to say in this matter. Since he's still alive and kicking (I assume), he may be able to shed more light. For now, I'm not sure what to believe. -
Just to be clear, the Slave I is not going to be available in Target stores. It's the Brickmaster exclusive for January-February 2011. Only Brickmaster subscribers get it, and should have already received it. I agree that the bridge on the Venator looks terrible. I don't know why people think it looks better than the Brickmaster one from a few years ago.

Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - Day Two
Walter Kovacs replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yes, we see a syringe in his hand, but can we be certain that he was trying to poison/kill the King of Delusions? I mean, it does look very suspicious, but there could be a different interpretation here. -

Walter Kovacs replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Ah, see I just took the good Docotr's words at face value, not trying to read between the lines. I hate to say it, but we probably won't know the reason until tomorrow morning. If it was a protector, then the chances of protecting the right target twice in a row are pretty far etched. However, if it was a role-blocker, then blocking the same suspect again tonight seems like the logical thing to do. If the Sinsiters decided not to kill, or were busy with other plans (macrame, perhaps?), then that should become obvious, too. Did anyone see any new macrame projects lying around this morning? -
Err, he explained that in his post. These are parts 2 and 3 of the three part Horn Squadron Trilogy. 2 parts, two pictures.

Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - Day Two
Walter Kovacs replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I have to admit I came to the same conclusion, that Biggie was innocent because of the ease of conviction. However, I'm not sure that all or even some of the votes were by the Sinisters. It could be that they saw votes going against Biggie and decided to lay low on this vote. There were only four of them, after all. Cookie only had two votes cast agains thim yesterday, and one of those was Biggie himself. The other was Sandy. I'll have to go back and see what their reasoning was, and what reasons everyone except Firebug Pete had for voting for Big Cam. I wasn't aware that recruiting precluded other actions by the Sinisters. If that is true, then that could be another reason. -
Ah, how a story of the ending of a dark age warms the heart. Welcome to Eurobricks, Zoidy. And thanks for the story.

Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - Day Two
Walter Kovacs replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Poor, poor Cameron. He certainly did not deserve his fate. He will be missed. On a brighter note, the Sinisters did not kill anyone last night. That leads me to think that one of three things happened. 1. The Sinister faction decided not to try and kill anyone last night. I don't think this is very plausible. You'd have to be insane to believe it. Oh, sorry. 2. The Sinisters chose a target who was Protected during the night. This is much more plausible. It doesn't make it any easier to find the scum, though. 3. The Insanes have a Role-Blocker, and that person got very, very lucky last night. Again, plausible. And if true, the Role Blocker would know who the Sinister killer is. But, since the protection theory is also valid, it unfortunately cannot be validated. Is there an echo in here? -

The fly in the ointment here is that 6212 is still in production. Although that didn't stop TLG from producing another AT-AT. -

Round 2 Okay Turkaglu vs Diana Fabray Health - 5 Health - 6 Stupefy - 0 Protego - 0 Mid - 0 Crucio - 1 Sectumsempra-High - 2 Low - 0 Expelliarmus - 0 Expelliarmus - 0 Low - 0 Protego - 0 Health - 4 Health - 4 After taking a few moments to compose their thoughts, the Auror and Death Eater once again prepared to wage battle. A small crowd had started to gather, keeping their distnace, in case of wayward spells. Okay was the first to strike, sending a devestating spell meant to stun hi sfoe, but the Death Eater was faster, quickly bringing up her shield charm. Before he could speak his next spell, he found his body wracked with the most intense pain he had ever felt. The Cruciatus Curse! Diana would pay for this, he vowed. As the pain subsided, he tried his own devestating curse, and saw with satisfaction that it connected, covering Diana with hundreds of cuts. Enraged, Diana attempted to disarm the Auror, but found Okay attempting to do the same, as both spells fizzled. Okay's final attack met with Diana's well-timed Shield. Round 3 DSs, when you can. It's still early. I have plenty of time to screw things up. DS Sent -

Round 1 Okay Turkaglu vs Diana Fabray Health - 5 Health - 6 Sectumsempra - Mid - 0 Protego - 0 Expelliarmus - 0 Expelliarmus - 0 Low - 0 Low - 0 Stupefy - 0 Crucio - 0 High - 0 Protego Health - 5 Health - 6 Seeking revenge against her long time nemesis, Diana Fabray waited in ambush near Knockturn Alley. She readied one of her deadly hexes, preparing to take down Okay Turkaglu once and for all. But as she sprang her trap, she recognized that the Auror was already mid-spell. Calling on all her skill as a Death Eater, she quickly changed to a shield charm. "It's been a while, Diana" said the Auror. "I intend to bring you to justice." "In your dreams" retorted Diana. The combatants tried a series of spells, each cancelling the other out. Okay attempted one last spell, only to meet Diana's shield once again. Send me your Round 2 DS when ready. I'd love to help you out there, CM, but I'm busy advancing Commander Fox right now.
