  1. I just linked the videos to the songs. Feel free to watch them. Yummy Alice Cooper goodness. Someday I'll play a character that works a music and/or movie quote into every post. There's always one quote that's apt. This game and Eurodina weren't set in the right timeframe to do it, unfortunately.
  2. I can answer that one. I sang to every one of my targets except Draggy. I wanted Draggy's block to seem different, if I had made a grevious mistake, so that I would have a chance to talk my way out of it. For the record, Stash heard: Alice Cooper's Ballad of Dwight Fry Supertramp's Asylum The Penguin heard Queen's , just before he was brutally murdered. At least he went out with a smile on his face. Ricey heard Suicidal Tendencies' Arjay got to hear Elton John's As mentioned above, Draggy didn't get a song. I even worked in an alliteration during one of my PMs to def. I had a whole slew of other songs ready to go, but didn't get a chance to use them. Metallica (Sanitarium), Avenged Sevenfold (Almost Easy), Billy Joel (You May Be Right), Talking Heads (Psycho Killer), Ugly Kid Joe (Madman) and System of a Down (Psycho). I'm sure you'll notice a common theme here. EDIT: I've added links to the songs I actually got to use. Look up the others on your own if you're interested.
  3. I thought I was done commenting, but I have one more thing to say. I was prepared to give a little story based on the background info for my character, and then really role-play a lot more as the game went on. A wonderful story of how I ended up in the asylum, and why I really didn't deserve to be there. Then the King started asking for the heads of all the Pathologicals early on Day 1, and I backed out of that plan immediately, and instead played a much lower key, "I'm a medical genius and you're not" character. It just seemed safer that way. Thanks King.
  4. Weekends tend to be busy for me, and I only had about 5-10 minutes online time that night. Not nearly enough time to catch up on a dozen PMs and read through the day thread. But plenty for a quick Wiz Duel post. Guess I should have made more time. As for not trusting Draggy, it was actually YOU I didn't trust at the end of things. I was even talking to Ricey, CM and Arjay, drumming up support for a movement against you. Whoops. But you were too obvious a target to be the killer, so I went to the person you seemed to trust most, who was Draggy. It all worked out. Sort of. Like I said, I thought I played fairly poorly overall. I might take a break and just watch Werewolf from the sidelines (and get my head back together), though my wife REALLY wants to help me play through that one. I'm trying to convince her to make an account and sign up for it instead. I do! I do! Dear God, there were a lot. I will say one thing, Hinck is prolific.
  5. Hmm, I'm not so sure I like that, but I won't complain too much. Once I blocked Ricey and got no appreciable results, I would never in a million years try and block him again, no matter how scummy he seemed. Same for Arjay. Once Ricey was "cleared" of being the killer, he could kill/convert with impunity. You mentioned this in the Afterlife. Why did you think the scum were at a disadvantage? And for the record, I disliked the lack of minimum votes. It made it way too easy for the scum to simply not vote, or place a random vote every now and then. Voting tendencies are one of the town's tools, and we didn't have it this game. It placed even more reliance on Night Actions for finding the scum, and everyone saw what we did with those. Of course, I haven't actually looked to see how the scum voted yet. Maybe there was a pattern if we look.
  6. I honestly don't remember if I thanked you in the discussion thread or not for hosting the game, def. But you did a wonderful job. The entire game was photographed beautifully, and the story was compelling. So was there any way for me to actually prevent the Sinister from killing at night? I blocked Arjay one night, who was doing most of the killing, and Scouts stepped up and did the dirty deed. Blocking Ricey didn't help, either.
  7. Yeah, you and I were posting at the same time. Sorry if I jumped the gun.
  8. Argh. What a revolting mess this was. First, I must congratulate the winners. They did an excellent job, and even had me turning against those that I trusted. That's what good scum do. At least my early faith in Cornelius Murdoch and Hinckley was well placed. And my blocking of Dragonator was well-founded, though all it did was lead to my death. Too bad the lack of results led to me turning on Hinck and trusting Arjay and Ricey. Overall I think I played particularly poorly. I did manage to block three Sinisters, though. Too bad we didn't put 2 and 2 together when I blocked Arjay. Out of curiosity, why was there no kill on Night 1? Oh, as it is customary to post our roles at the end, here is mine:
  9. I would like to remind Will Ackerson to look at the bookmark itself. What is at the top of teh staircase to the roof? A door, roof hatch, or something else? I'll peek in the icebox and cabinets for anything that looks out of the ordinary. I will make sure to move boxes of food in cabinets to make sure nothing is hiding behind them. I will replace anytihing I move to where it was originally.
  10. Same here. I never bought any LEGO myself until I was an adult, so the last set I received as a gift was 6950 - Mobile Rocket Transport. I still have all of my LEGO from my youth. I did experience a mini-dark age around the time my son was born, thanks to a lack of funds. The last set before that era was 4493 - MINI Sith Infiltrator. Fortunately it only lasted a year and a half, but I missed some really nice Star Wars sets in that time frame.
  11. Happy Birthday, Admiral Ron. You'll make Death Eater someday. Happy birthday to you too, Sir von Lego. Hope it was filled with bricks.
  12. Well, it looks like every vote against me was made while I was either sleeping, preparing for work or commuting. Serves me right for having a life. Even if I had seen the voting pattern, I doubt I could have mounted a convincing defense in such a short amount of time. I just hope I talked to enough people in private to affect the outcome. We'll see. Thanks for letting me play, def. It certainly screwed with my head. Now I don't have to worry about any of that, unlike the rest of you still living.
  13. Two possible meanings spring to mind. It could be that the CIA/National Guard have a sentry posted on the roof at night, and is a warning to the commies in our group to watch out. Or the commies have been spoted on the roof, and it is a warning to the rest of us. I'm leaning toward the former, but I have no real proof. Finding the station locked when it was unlocked previously seems suspicious. Could either Officer Fields or Officer Harrison check the locks to see if they have been picked? Heck, I guess I could take a quick look myself. First, I'd like to check the locks on all outside doors to see if I can find evidence of a pick with my untrained eye. Then I'd like to proceed upstairs as well.
  14. Round 3 Diana Fabray vs Johann Peterschmut Health - 4 Health - 3 Low - 0 Protego - 0 Crucio - 0 Crucio - 0 Mid - 1 High - 0 Expelliarmus - 0 Low - 0 High - 0 Expelliarmus - 0 Health - 4 Health - 2 Diana and Johann prepared for what could be the final round of Johann's "Entrance Exam". Diana started first. firing a Hex at Johann's legs, but teh Slytherin was prepared, and raised his shield charm in plenty of time. Next both combatants tried their unforgivable curse, but were disappointed to see them fizzle before their eyes. Diana sensed an opening, and fired a hex toward Johann's midsection, delighted to see it connect while his own charm sailed high over her head. Sensing victory was in her grasp, she quickly disarmed the would-be Death Eater, then tried a hex to the head. It didn't matter when her own wand flew from her hand. Retrieving her wand, she scoffed "You're not ready to join our ranks yet. Come back when you've learned to duel properly." Having said her piece, she disapparated away, leaving Johann on the ground, disillusioned and confused. Winner: Diana Fabray Update your profiles accordingly.
  15. So luck finally caught up to Canny, huh. That is a shame. But the MO is completely different from the Sinister's typical method. I wonder if it was some sort of defensive tactic that caught him. The lack of an upside down corpse is encouraging. But I ask all of you, if I did in fact block the Sinsiter killer, do we really want to reveal and lynch him, or should I continue to block him and keep us safe at night, while we try and find his cronies during the day? In my mind, option two sounds much better.
  16. Round 2 Diana Fabray vs Johann Peterschmut Health - 5 Health - 5 Crucio - 1 Low - 0 Expelliarmus - 1 Protego - 0 Protego - 0 Mid - 0 High - 0 Crucio - 1 Low - 0 Expelliarmus - 0 Health - 4 Health - 3 "You call that a Cruciatus Curse? I'll show you a Cruciatus Curse!" Diana taunted, as Johann found himself wracked in intense pain. He tried to raise a shield charm, but found it backfired, adding to his misery. In desparation, Johann tried a hex, but Diana already had her shield charm up. Johann tried a Cruciatus of his own, and was delighted to see Diana, writhing on the floor. In an attempt to escape the pain, Diana disarmed her Slytherin classmate, and the two prepareed themselves mentally for teh next round... Round 3 DSs, please.
  17. Didn't we move the tireless fire truck to put out the fire at the Lakota? I seem to remember that. Though how we got to it if the door was locked is beyond me. Meanwhile, I'll wait patiently for our, ahem, egress into the building to be secured.
  18. Round 1 Diana Fabray vs Johann Peterschmut Health - 6 Health - 5 High - 0 Protego - 0 Mid - 0 Crucio - 1 Low - 0 Low - 0 Expelliarmus - 0 Mid - 0 Crucio - 0 Expelliarmus - 0 Health - 5 Health - 5 Aspiring Death Eater Johann Peterschmut approaches his mentor Diana Fabray, asking for admitance into the 'club'. "You are almost ready, Johann. But first you must pass the final test." Before Johann could utter "What's the final test?", Diana's first spell was streaking toward him. He quickly raised a shield charm, then enveloped Diana in the wracking pain of the Cruciatus. Freed from the unforgivable curse, Diana snarled and tried a low hex, only to see it countered by Johann. Snarling in rage, she disarmed the Slytherin, then tried her own Cruciatus. But Johann had learned his lessons well, and disarmed his foe before the spell could be completed. Round 2 DS, when ready.
  19. What you call unlucky I call typical. I'll ADj for your 'ascension.'
  20. I think you are absolutely correct. Alright people, we have two days to get things wrapped up. Any ideas on where to go next? Were we satisfied with the investigation of teh Jefferson's, or do we need to return and finish up?
  21. big behind is a favorite of mine Thanks Shadows. For those wondering, I was complaining about the censor filter censoring a rather innocuous word. Honestly, I preferred my last title better.
  22. Or he's telling the truth, and you are just trying to deflect attention away from yourself. I've suspected you for far too long not to act. vote: Misty Monroe/badboytje88
  23. It's obvious that all threee are commies. Let's kill 'em. Seriously though. Guys, welcome to hell.
  24. I haven't said much about the photo since no one has really pressed the issue. If cornered I'll tell you the whole truth, but for now those that I trust know what I was doing and why I was doing it. I prefer to keep my brains in my head, thank you very much. Too much important medical research up there.
  25. Keep your shirt on. My new "strategy" is at work, so I had to wait till this morning. DS Sent
