So, I haven’t seen the Loki episode, but the chat on the Marvel thread implies that the ‘baby crocodile’ coming in the CMF won’t just be a generic one, but will be specific to the show - and therefore not that useful to those of us wanting a ‘normal’ animal.

I mean, have a look at some other sets in licensed themes, be they vehicle, play set or location-based, and we can see that some are iconic, some are for play value, and rarely are they represented according to how many minutes screen time they get. ... and of course some are entirely made up to house the minifig characters, which is also to be expect from a toy brand. I’m guessing the revolving portrait part? Indy arriving at the castle as Lord Clarence MacDonald view the tapestries - ‘ if you are Scottish, I am Mickey Mouse!’

And the collapsing staircase! And the best bad Scottish accent ever. And tapestries.

Yeah I disagree. all of the old sets could be revisited, and all could be improved on. We *could* get external facades for the Grail Temple, Indy’s childhood home, the temple of Doom, the Indian village, the Venetian Library, Indy’s classroom and office etc etc. Heck even a big Castle Brunwald, or the German airport with Zeppelin. We could have landscape builds from the South American waterfall, the raft on the rapids, the Indian jungle, or the Arches / Utah sequence in LC. We could easily get scenes based on the inside of the Egyptian tomb or temple, Club Obi Wan the Temple of Doom, etc. heck we might even get something left-field like a big buildable Ark of the Covenant, or a Nuclear test site play set, or a fridge. There are obviously loads of vehicle options, multiple planes, trains, the Zeppelin, trucks, amphibious machines, and boats.

It *does* have the pink pig, but, bizarrely, it’s still not showing up on B&P because they’ve decided to make it ‘not available’, presumably still using the argument that it appears in a licensed set ( Harry Potter). Same is true of the brown owl.

Dark blue grey head and legs with a black body would be my best pitch. Is no one approaching the Irwin family to get a range of tie in sets with Aussie critters? 🦘🐨🐊🐍🕷

Have to admit that I’d entirely forgotten that plane fight set from LC. Maybe we can hope for Alexi Sayle and his beloved Rolls Royce in a reboot

Whereas here in Scotland the blackfaced sheep is ideal ;) given that the sheep mould is dual moulded, I assume we will get only two coloured sheep going forward. So it’s worth looking at how they do this already in Duplo - where the dual moulded sheep already came in dark brown and white, dark blue-grey and white, and light blue grey and white. I do think the city mould would also work well with other colours, such as white face and legs and tan body, or black face and legs and brown body. To do a black sheep though? would they even do two colours exactly the same on a dual moulded animal? Agreed. Standard CMFs are very city-heavy these days, and a big originator of new animal moulds. 🐧🐭🦞🦨🐇🐈🐕🦩🐍🐢🐀🦀
