  1. I think that’s an assumption by some who need the gender binary, I’d assume the cat lover is non-binary or trans. Also as others have pointed out, some figures are always gender ambiguous, assumptions notwithstanding … in this series that could be the Bogeyman, but it’s certainly true of figures like the Yeti, various aliens, and many others This. It’s deliberate. If folk want to get mad or argue that away - fine, you do you. Lego has clearly said it values diversity and us making steps to give representation across its products and on many ‘issues’. I am sure many people will recognise and value the symbolism in this figure. In the past (especially on here, but also other forums) whenever anyone has dared to suggest that figures are, or *could be*, trans, it has been pounced on and slammed down, often really unpleasantly. I’d hope we have moved on from that. At the end of the day, interpret the figure however you want to … but you can do that without punching down on anyone else. FWIW - all of my Lego minifigures are LGBTQ+ 🤷🏽‍♂️ * fun fact - there have now been several Lego torsos using the pink/white/blue colours of the trans Pride flag, used in many sets. I don’t think that’s by accident. Yep.
  2. Cobra was a BAM regular for a good while
  3. Yes. Here’s hoping they thrive now that there’s a steady supply of Lego goats for them to snack on ;)
  4. Hare agree. Not a surprise that they went this route with the figure - but it’s ‘meh’ for me too.
  5. If you don’t think representation matters, then lucky you!
  6. Pretty sure that new long-haired mould will be repurposed in the Harry Potter theme
  7. Word. Or just a non-binary person. Happy to see it. High time that we had a series where male characters weren’t the majority of representation imho. We have had plenty in the past which were massively male-skewed
  8. Woohoo. All three animals look really nice, and I’m already excited to see them reused or recoloured! Interesting that the cockatoo *seems* to have a cheek patch, and that the crest looks to be bright light orange rather than yellow (which makes sense when it comes with yellow-fleshed figures), as that would actually suggest it’s not the commonest, widest-distributed ‘white cockatoo’ (the yellow crested) but more one of the other species which are limited in range to some of the tropical island north of Australia. With my geek hat on, I’d say it was actually a citron-crested cockatoo, an endangered species that was only officially recognised as separate in 2022
  9. Tbf in Wales you can’t see the sheep for the sheep
  10. Santa already knows.
  11. Indeed, but I don’t think the existing mould would work for them
  12. Yeeeeeeeaaaah not sure that would look good though Simplest would be swapping out one of the two colours, but I’d be happy with any realistic variant Yep, was the Billund warehouse. Gorilla parts remain critically endangered.
  13. Well so far, one day is one gorilla arm … I think I’m gonna tease you one day at a time @lifeinplastic - and only then if you’ve been good!
  14. I’m still not adopting you, @Aurore - I’m already bankrupting myself ;)
  15. I’m seriously beginning to doubt you are actually in the UK 😜 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottish_Blackface
  16. A bit of an aside, but it’s animal related, I promise! I wanted to share a nice story: Today called Lego customer service, to check on my existing two orders for animal parts that are still showing as ‘in warehouse’. They are for the Gorilla parts, and the order is in two parts because the bodies became unavailable as I was placing the order, so I ended up with two orders, three weeks apart, for ‘just arms’ and ‘just bodies’. Anyways, I called to check on the likely timescale of delivery, as I was worried they would arrive too late for their intended use - Lego advent calendars for my nephews, which I have put together for the past few years. The customer service rep was lovely, and very interested in the Lego advent, but told me that the timings had actually been pushed back for orders, and that it was likely that things wouldn’t arrive until ‘40 working days’ after order, and that the warehouse had been closed down for a week which explained the extra delay. In all likelihood that means I’m going to have to source the gorillas via eBay or Bricklink - as that will be after Christmas. But I was told that there should be some better info next week once the warehouse is operating normally again. Long story short - I don’t know when my gorilla parts will arrive yet! Anyways, a short while later I got an email from the customer service rep, saying she really enjoyed talking to me, was excited about the Lego animal advent calendar, and didn’t want my nephews to run out of animals to build … and that as a gift from Lego she was sending two building sets for my nephews (it’s two of the little “Lego creative monsters sets (11017)”! How nice is that?! Lego customer service is a nice thing in a world where we don’t seem to get a lot of nice things some days. ❤️💛💚💙
  17. Sideshow Bob I could see a mix of sets and a CMF. Characters like Skinner & Otto could come in school themed sets, but I think they would really have to up the quality and desirability of a new CMF series. I wasn’t as down on S2 as many were, but I think that some were poorly executed.
  18. That’s the same ‘Celestial Dog’ as before, from what I can see, so it’s not *new* and of limited use with the printing on the head
  19. Alpine garage better have a goat on the roof…
  20. Honestly - they could just give Sam two bananas. We’d all get the joke & no one is offended Right? plus some figures have shelf appeal beyond fans. The present D&D series being a point in case
  21. I sure don’t Also : totally here for that
  22. I have just ordered bodies with no arms… to make mine up !
  23. Gorilla parts and tiger back in stock 🦍🐅
  24. All of the adult gorilla parts, and the tiger, back in stock on B&P now
