  1. This is a great suggestion
  2. I couldn’t really make the monkey out on the pic I saw 🤷🏽‍♂️ I think some designer is getting a bonus every time they shoehorn that puppy into a new set - it’s the only possible reason!
  3. It’s been the best source for small and medium new animals over many years: most of them end up being reused, recoloured or reprinted elsewhere, but often the CMF versions are unique.
  4. The Cowardly Lion looks to be similar in size & pose to the Eeyore figure. I don’t think it’s much use to be honest, but will reserve judgment for now! The flying monkey looks like some weird composite with the wing piece from the Cupid CMF and either a variant of the existing monkey or something new. One thing I will say though - the shepherd pup as Toto is both cheap and an abomination. 😝 I’m glad I picked up plenty of the Wizard of Oz minifigures from TLM2 - they’re really excellent, and that Toto is perfect.
  5. Lego is doing a fine job in stashing collectible bits and bobs in unusual sets, to encourage exactly this! The light blue air tanks in the Riviera set are another example, albeit a different end if the price scale
  6. Honestly, at this stage in the timeline, climate change deniers should be banned; and you;’d need to have had your head up an exhaust pipe for the past umpteen years if you hadn’t noticed Lego make specific commitments to progressive and inclusive issues, both in its sets and in real life. Life is political.
  7. With you on this. Trying hard not to be overly optimistic, but still hoping the series delivers (plenty) new animals
  8. Beautiful When they gave us that Medusa back in series 10, I had hoped we would see more CMFs using these tail/leg pieces … but they’ve been stingy so far. Same with the satyr legs. Medusa was crazy, you didn’t even need to feel the packets in that that series - the bag was so distended by the tail piece that you could recognise it from the other side of the store!
  9. No shade intended - but I’m curious as to how you’d see a snake costume working on a minifigure?
  10. It’s so Roebuck doesn’t hurt himself when playing with his gulls 😜
  11. What, no guess list from @pinar or @cebelicamya yet?!
  12. Yeah I think my question is moot because of the timing, as you suggest, but I was really asking if they looked to be modified parts from existing parts we have - such as the small wings or tips of the long wing piece that came with flying mummies. Narrower shoulders, plus the Lego logo print, do seem to muddy the waters …
  13. Wow - hard to tell but I think I’d go with some sort of custom. Do the wings closely resmble any specific part? Yes, it’s like a big family reunion, but without having to endure family! So glad that the gang is all here. @cebelicamya the next CMF slot is Spiderverse, so that would be start of September. Series 28/Animals then would be next which would be the series releasing at start of January 2026
  14. Do you keep them with the faces or swap out the minifig heads for one if the ‘open mouth’ ones?
  15. Though one can, of course, gender swap any ‘costume’ figure by simply switching heads …
  16. Official pics of the Italian Riviera set seem to show it’s a wee bit more generous with animals than we first thought - crab seems to come in both red & bright light orange, and kitten in dark bley as well as dark tan. nothing new, or earth shattering…
  17. 100% this. I massively prefer those masks
  18. The cobra is a bit of a weird one in the Lego animals world - firstly it’s all rubbery, and second, it has printing but no eyes 🤷🏽‍♂️
  19. Gorilla suit guy was an early icon. It also went really well with the cyborg in the same series: Gorillaborg army FTW
  20. Maybe best to change ‘animal costumes’ to just ‘animals’ ?
  21. The cobra is the other animal that’s all rubbery
  22. But - using that one example - the same wolf *is* showing up in a City set, and is therefore likely to be on Bricks & Pieces, in due course
  23. I’d be up for a variant non-flying gull though … Even with the recent goatherd & Wolfmaster, I certainly found enough CMFs when I went looking, and things like the cockatoos and Persian cats are pretty plentiful on Bricklink, so I really don’t think scalpers are denying us animals. As I have said before - I have much more of a problem with large £££ licensed sets which have exclusive animals.
  24. But the animals would be available, albeit for a limited time, at a decent low price point, and it’s likely new moulds would be produced that would get reused in BAM, City sets etc ,.. are you honestly arguing *against* a lot of new animals in CMF28?!
