A Max Reebo would indeed be great. I can't say I'm surprised about the Sail Barge though, I sort of saw that coming ever since the new Palace came out. And it's very likely that the AT-TE and Gunship will be AOTC sets, so I'm really looking forward to those.

Wow, the Black Gate set is a surprise! I'd definitely like to pick that up, and it's nice to get a Gandalf the White. So is the Black Gate the one "TBA" LOTR/The Hobbit 2013 set then? The other two confirmed were Frodo with a Ringwraith and an Eagle Nest.

Same here, I don't own an Elrond, but he's my favorite. The gold and everything looks really stunning and he's got some nice leg printing too. I hope I'll be able to get one soon.

I have my fingers crossed that he turns out red. And while I'm hoping that Smaug doesn't look like that, I think he would make an excellent (and very large) set.

Heartlake Heartbreak - Day One: Heart to Heart
DarthPotato replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Yeah, I don't see any reason to use a lunch so early. It would be a reckless move, so I don't think this was any player's doing. Anyway, about Trisha, I'm a little confused with her lunch. What clue does she get to someone's affliction? Is it like a role cop-type role? -
Heartlake Heartbreak - Day One: Heart to Heart
DarthPotato replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It's just that we can't ignore the chance of Trisha actually having this role. Yeah, I know, it's a ridiculous claim, but I don't think we should vote her off just yet. If she really does have a lie-detector role, the scum would jump at the chance to get rid of her. But like I said, I don't completely believe it yet either, I just don't think we should vote her off right away. -
Heartlake Heartbreak - Day One: Heart to Heart
DarthPotato replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I know there's some suspicion toward Trisha, but I don't see any harm in doing this anyway. I'm innocent. Anyway, I'm not voting for Trisha for now because of the chance of her actually having this role (even if it does sound odd) but I do understand why others have voted for her to get her talking. But I'm just hoping Trisha gets on soon so all of this can be straightened out. -
Actually, I was thinking that that would work well for a Galadriel (if only it had ears, though). But that could work for Eowyn too.

REVIEW: 71000 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 9
DarthPotato replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for the detailed review, WhiteFang! I have to say that this series is really fantastic, but maybe that's because my expectations were lowered after series 8. My favorites are definitely the Cyclops (probably my favorite, that double sided head is just perfect!), the chicken suit guy (I loved the shot of him with the other suited figures), the judge, and the plumber (mainly for the toilet plunger). Can't wait to get my hands on these.- 171 replies

Heartlake Heartbreak - Day One: Heart to Heart
DarthPotato replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
What do you mean one of the other horses? For all we know it could have been multiple horses! But I'd never murder any of my fellows horses anyway, I love all of them dearly. Now, it's not up to me to say the same about the other two horses, but I wish I could. -
Cool MOC, I like the whole idea of Maul fighting different IG-88's. I voted for the tallest as my favorite, with the one on the left in a close second.

Heartlake Heartbreak - Day One: Heart to Heart
DarthPotato replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Why thank you. This is terrible, seeing my fellow horses die. I don't want to see anymore of this madness, so let's try our best to end it. -
I already said this in the LOTR discussion thread, but I thought I'd say it here too. I just got Escape from Mirkwood Spiders and Riddles for the Ring. Spiders is the better set IMO, but I did like Riddles more than I thought I first would. Now I'm hoping to get those bigger sets by the end of this month.

I just got my first two Hobbit sets: Escape from Mirkwood Spiders and Riddles for the Ring. I didn't really want Riddles at first but now that I have it I actually really like it. And the Mirkwood set is pretty nice too. Can't wait to get the rest!

Since it's a trilogy, I'm sure we'll get a Hobbit game in 2014 when the movies conclude. Also, I can't wait to get this game! I've been really addicted to LOTR lately so this should definitely be enjoyable to play for me.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
DarthPotato replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I think Dave Filoni said it sometime during Celebration VI. Also, we saw a preview a few months ago that showed the clone commando providing cover for the group of droids from the Separatists on some planet (Possibly the Void). And we got titles for what I think are those episode, which are: "Secret Weapons" "A Sunny Day in the Void" "Missing in Action" "Point of no Return" I forgot where exactly it was confirmed, but I'm pretty sure it was somewhere. -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
DarthPotato replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Nice review! It was a fun read. Also, the droid arc will not be one episode, it's apparently going to be 4 again. But the clone commando's coming in midway through the arc so that will make it interesting. -
Another AT-AT? I think it's way too soon. It's only been about 2 and a half years since the last one. Now, that doesn't stop TLG from making another, but I don't see it happening for at least another couple years.
-
Thanks for the pictures! All of those planets look really cool, they're so detailed compared to some of the past ones! And with those figures and minis I think I'll be getting all 3 of these.
-
Nice job. It definitely looks smaller than the Lego Anakin's fighter and more compact (as it should be) and I like how you added a landing hear, especially considering that set didn't have one.
-
Nice funnies, Oky! I love the Jabba one, it works perfectly because of him being two different parts.
-
Was there ever any confirmation of the price? The set itself looks like it can't be more than $40, but it does have 6 figures. Also, it looks like Riekeen has the new Obi-Wan hairpiece in dark grey. If that's true then maybe I'll bricklink him separately because he would go along well with my other Hoth sets.

Do you think Lego will make a LOTR Chess Set?
DarthPotato replied to sgtbernalcl25's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I thought that they were making an actual LOTR chess set when I first read the title of this thread. It'd be awesome if they did make a chess set, but for some reason I don't really see them doing so. If they did though, I don't think it would be an army builder. It would probably have main characters like Gandalf and Frodo instead of armies of elves or uruk-hai.
