I agree, I think that would have made him better. It just looks like they through a Jango helmet onto a santa torso to me. But young Boba more than makes up for that, and I'm really happy they didn't christmas-ize him or anything so we could have a regular young Boba.

Wow, what great sets! One great thing I noticed is that ALL of the jedi this wave (except for Yoda because he has shorter legs) have leg printing for their robes. Mace's look a little odd with all of that white though. I guess if they printed boots on him it would have made it better but that would have been a lot of leg printing, and he looks alright as he is. The figures in the sail barge also make me really tempted to get it, mainly because of Max Reebo. Also, I'm sort of disappointed the Maul in the Mandalorian Speeder set is his shirtless version. I bought the promotional shirtless Maul a few months ago and made my own cyber Maul so I wished it was his version with a shirt from The Clone Wars. Ah well, I'll still probably pick up that set anyway.

[MOC] Micro Sith Fury-class Interceptor
DarthPotato replied to Masked Builder's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Cool, you did a really good job with this! I've actually tried doing a mini version of this ship before but it didn't turn out too well. This looks really nice though, I really like how you used the printed windshield piece from the planet set with the mini tie fighter.- 27 replies

Interesting pictures, but a preliminary picture is a preliminary picture, so I'll wait until we get better, more finalized pictures before I judge the sets. I still don't know how I'm going to get all of these AOTC sets though, especially because there's quite a few this wave. Also, it's really nice how they included the darksaber for Maul in the Mandalorian Speeder set! Hopefully it's updated from the one we got in the Pre Vizsla starfighter set, but I doubt it.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion
DarthPotato replied to LEGOman273's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I know it may sound weird to see Maul begging for mercy, but like General Magma said Sidious is a scary guy. Sidious trained Maul and tortured him throughout his youth and made him both fear him and respect him. In fact, he still respects Sidious because he bowed before him right when he entered the room. You could also see the fear and worry in Maul's eyes as he spoke to him. Sidious also sort of "broke" Maul after he killed Savage. And to top it all off, Maul was left defenseless and had nothing else to do. He couldn't fight Sidious anymore, he had been beaten. The main point is that he always had some fear for Sidious and he still does, which was evident in the episode. -
Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion

The Lawless wasn't the best episode ever made (like most people were expecting) but it was still good. The Sidious duel should have been a little longer for sure. The deaths in this episode were actually quite sad too. And the cliffhanger... it's going to be hard to wait to see it all resolved! -
Although I won't be getting it, I actually really like the look of that Gorilla Mech. I'm not sure why, I just think it looks pretty cool. I love the yellow tip on the large missile and, of course, the bananas for ammunition.

Agreed about what you said on Ree Yees, he looks really cool! Makes me tempted to get the Sail Barge...

Nope, it's a stormtrooper helmet alright. If it was an ARC trooper helmet it would have the fin at the top anyway. I still wonder why they didn't use the ARC trooper or phase 2 clone helmet though.

Um, wow, that's certainly interesting. I'm really curious to see how this guy plays into The Yoda Chronicles. I wonder if the other minifigures will be as unique as this one.
-
Cool! Coleman Trebor's looking awesome already! Jek-14s starfighter actually has me interested... I'm really curious to see a bigger picture of the set (specifically the minifigures) and how it plays into the Yoda Chronicles. Also, hurray for Geonosis battle droids!

Sorry if my posts didn't sound interesting. My theories on Day 2, looking back at them, were worded badly and my arguments didn't really make sense at times. I was sort of trying to play a completely different game then I did before but I wasn't sure how at first. But still, this was only my first game as Town so there's still plenty of room for improvement.
-
Congrats, scum! I'm not sure if I completely deserve this though because I was killed the night I was recruited. Anyway, thanks for hosting, def! It was a pretty fun game! This was also my first Town game because I was scum in my previous two so I obviously still need work on being Town.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season 5 Discussion

Nice review! About Shades of Reason, I thought it was another great episode and the Maul vs. Pre duel at the end was amazingly well done. The result of the duel was shocking! -
Eurobricks Mafia Day Four: The light! The light!
DarthPotato replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
If Alopex really is scum then that would make two of this game's lurkers being scum. I'm pretty sure there were some people saying yesterday that some of the lurkers left could be scum, and it's looking like they were at least partially right. Vote: Alopex -
About the Super commandoes, those have been confirmed to be the red Death Watch soldiers with the horns on their helmets. It'll be interesting to see those.

Eurobricks Mafia Day Four: The light! The light!

Fantastic! I'm sort of surprised nothing happened to Big Cam last night, but it's still great that he got this lead on Alopex. And Badboy did seem odd in the day thread, but I never thought it was enough to vote for him. It's nice to get some confirmation on him though. -
I wonder if Lego will make the Maul in the Mandalorian Speeder set accurate to how he is on the show. By that time he has robes on and isn't shirtless anymore so I'm thinking they'll give him robes and the more natural looking cybernetic legs. And I also really hope the Boba in the advent calender is normal and not holiday themed because he won't be appearing anywhere else this wave.

Ooooh, Adi Gallia in the Spider Droid set? Yes please. And Poggle the Lesser sounds amazing too.

Euroricks Mafia day three: An end to Ricks
DarthPotato replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Sorry, I was posting as I thought there. Since I put it at the end I was trying to draw the bottom line that that was a scummy thing of him to do. But I don't think it's enough to vote for him. I probably would have voted for Big Cam, but since he has a watcher role it makes me feel uneasy about voting for him, obviously. If he lives through to tomorrow then it could mean he was converted, but I guess we'll have to see if he behaves differently or not. Anyway, I'll Vote: Zepher -
Those prototypes are, um, interesting. Specifically the Croc ones, those guys look kind of cool, but I think I'm happy with the path TLG took on their designs. This theme is really weird to me. I keep wanting to go and buy some sets, but at the same time I want to hold back and go and save my money for other themes. Honestly, if I could just get most of the minifigures I think I'd be satisfied, but as Archer said some of them are so expensive on BL it's probably better to just buy the set. Maybe I should just start with some of the cheaper sets and see if those make me happy with this theme and work from there.

Who said he needed to be updated? Right now we don't have any confirmation on whether the jedi in that set is new or not. Although once we do I think that will confirm if it's Eeth Koth or Agen Kolar (if it's new then it's Eeth, if it's not then it's Agen).
-
Actually, I believe it was just labeled "New" next to his name. I don't think Lego ever puts exclusive, or maybe I just can't remember if they have in the past. But what I'm trying to say is that there's still a chance of getting another Agen Kolar in that set.

Euroricks Mafia day three: An end to Ricks
DarthPotato replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I actually think that's not that scummy. Cornelius volunteered and turned out Town, and I even voted for him as mayor because of his push for him to be mayor. I don't think scum would make themselves so obvious when it comes down to being mayor. Although I do find it odd that badboy did that after we found out Cornelius was Town. Perhaps he was trying to copy his actions and appear Town? -
Yeah, and the only two jedi left needed to complete a jedi council during the Clone Wars are her and Oppo Rancisis (who I don't think we'll be getting anytime soon though). In the Homing Spider Droid set I'm pretty sure there was a zabrack jedi seen there. Do you think it could just be another Agen Kolar? Or do you think it's a new movie-style Eeth Koth? I could see them reusing Agen Kolar but I don't think a new Eeth Koth should be ruled out.
