  1. Get one of the "Serious Play" packs. Judging by the parts selection, they always look like they provide a big challenge to make any comprehensible object.
  2. Is S@H supposed to be adding the "Azari's Magic Fire" polybag to ANY purchase over £25, or did I just get cheated out of it when I made a Technic purchase in a physical Lego store today? I was told I had to buy an Elves set, but the online info doesn't specifically mention that. I still see the polybag in my online cart after adding a Technic set to it.
  3. It's a device for getting replies to a thread. ...and it works!
  4. You mean Flame Yellowish Orange (second row, far right)? Also, your palette seems to be missing "330 Olive Green" (between Reddish Brown and Sand Yellow) and "329 White Glow" (between Cool Yellow and Earth Green).
  5. I used to have hell with getting kicked back to the main page, having to clear my cookies then reload if I wanted to look at the second page of any theme's listing. Then it got to the point where I couldn't even log in properly - the form would just reset upon submitting. I had to go to ReBrick to log in through their slightly different userpanel, then come ack to S@H. I was getting sick of this, so I decided to investigate which of the cookies was dodgy. Apparently it was the "s_sess" cookie. Since deleting that, everything's been working fine.
  6. None at all, but you can still get 4.3.8 by changing the download URL accordingly.
  7. I can confirm that it's no longer buggered. EDIT: I cleared the files from the palettes folder for the hell of it, and LDD just re-downloaded them. The checksums for the downloaded stuff match those of my backups. Still on 1564.2 :I
  8. It was never a good brand fit anyway. "But it's popular worldwide and makes millions" is not a good enough reason, when the figurehead of the show is constantly getting himself in trouble for things that you would NOT want anyone (never mind just children) to copy. I'm surprised it's taken this long for the BBC to get some backbone.
  9. This is why backing up your drives is a cool thing to do. Superkalle! Would there be any problem with me uploading the contents of the palettes folder for these fine folk? Also, there are two ways to force LDD to work offline and stop whatever caused this from re-occuring (for now): Block LDD in your firewall, or Add the line initialiseDesignerURL= to your preferences.ini (yes, that option IS "blank", and it forces LDD to use a non-existent update URL) Of course you WILL need to revert either of these steps in future, if you ever want any sort of updates again :B
  10. It's getting around to that time of year again! The time when supermarkets can finally get rid of all the chocolate eggs which they've had trouble selling since they went on shelves six months ago. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 40121 - Painting Easter Eggs - theme: Seasonal Errors / notes: Missing prints: Part 16723 Chicken Dec. No 1) Part 15828 (Flat Tile 1X1, Round "No. 18") [*] Things not connected to anything: The tray of cookies in the oven The boiling egg in the saucepan LXF (LDD 4.3.9 / b2075) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wonder if we'll get a summer thing.
  11. Fewer things to explode.
  12. I made a little PHP script to loop through a range of elementIDs, and show an image if it exists on TLG's server. These things were the most interesting, but there also appears to be some existing PF stuff with grey (rather than black) wires, which is a bit unusual.
  13. Just discovered these while crawling TLG's server for upcoming new parts (as any fule do). I don't know their purpose, but they're SUPER-INTERESTING. EDIT: Purpose discovered, and oh cripes I appear to be more than a year late with this.
  14. I think it looks a bit like this.
  15. The tyres appear to be 58090. You'll also need specific rims for the hubcaps: 55982.
  16. Add the line ShowStartHelp=no to LDD's "preferences.ini" file (I think it's in /User/Library/Application Support/LEGO Company/LEGO Digital Designer/ for macs) then the program will startup straight to a blank grid every time. It's great.
  17. Use menu: File > Import Model (or [CTRL] + I) to add saved models into the current scene. This is possible by holding [shift] + right mouse button, while moving the cursor. Right-clicking a part can also centre the camera on it.
  18. Judging by the liberal use of "LEGO" everywhere including the actual PRODUCT name, I'm guessing this is either: A student's design concept, akin to "hubless bicycles" A real thing which will get destroyed by legalese It's interesting, fo sho.
  19. That Blue Power Jet is going to need some fancy-pants play features to make me believe that it's a 50 quid set. 31011 Aviation Adventures had a nifty propeller spinning mechanism which was activated by fiddling with the tailwheel. This is just... dark blue with some interesting angles. (and of course I'm going to buy it anyway)
  20. This PDF explains the reason (and has a lot of other useful info): http://bramlambrecht.com/tmp/jamieberard-brickstress-bf06.pdf
  21. I once had a psychiatrist ask me if I could make money selling MOCs. I told him "I can't, they're my babies". Never did see him again after that.
  22. http://cache.lego.com/r/www/r/club/-/media/club2/backpack/club%20codes/2015/creator/rain/ccrain-uk-bi.pdf I just spotted the LEGO Club code in my nephew's magazine. According to my bruvver, he's had it nearly a week. Gah!
  23. I don't always read the LEGO CLUB Magazine, but when I do, I find instructions for Creator "D Models". ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 31031 - Rainforest Animals [Model D] - theme: Creator LXF (LDD 4.3.8)
  24. HAH, not sure how I messed that one up, considering the B and C models have 2 x 3021, like they should. Well spotted! Updated the model now.
  25. Updated from 4.3.6 to 4.3.8 b1564.2: 31014 (model A) - fixed a silly building error
