  1. Yeah, stickers are quite rare in the Modular Buildings, aside from the Palace Cinema.
  2. That's a great array of food and torsos and a few nice parts. I only hope they become available in normal sets too.
  3. The silver is meant to match the armour. It looks a bit odd as the sides of the figure are black to depict the curves and hips so there is a break between the part and the print, whereas if this was a male figure then the silver would be more continuous.
  4. Also nothing stops you using imagination and being creative making up stories involving He-Man, Thundercats, etc.
  5. I think that was back in the day that LEGO got the figures to copmike in good time. It was nice to know what the prizes were at the start, so you could cross your fingers to get A or B or C, etc. But I can understand why he cannot do that if they are late, and might as well now keep it a surprise instead.
  6. You could have gone for these, but unfortunately, they are not a blank slate - they have names and presumably characteristerics and voices too once the movie is out. Ninjago, Nexo Knights, Chima, etc have a blank slate if you don't watch the associated media. You don't have to follow their storyline.
  7. Yeah, very unique. The only part I don't like is the thick base that is very flat. I think it would look better if done like the other sides, remaining almost flat so it still stands up, but looking more organic.
  8. You can pick up Winzar and Worriz polybags or the figures from them quite cheap from UK sellers, as they were in newspaper giveaways here.
  9. 50% off most of the smaller sets sold by Morrisons.
  10. I don't mind the molded heads so much, they are what they are. They are no less usable than some printed parts. For example: These legs can only be used with that torso. If used with any other torso, the printed rope doesn't match up. This is happening more and more these days, meaning the parts of a minifigure are not as modular as they could be.
  11. Definitely the best figures of that series.
  12. The texture on the red roof is also nice, much better than roof slopes all aligned.
  13. I like the statue being carved - nice idea.
  14. You would not have heard either way, you have to check and contact copmike. But yes, the page has been reset. I don't think we got clues last year either. The figures just showed up, and people started posting what they had received.
  15. Yes, definitely better. I also like your cockpit, far nicer than transparent bricks!
  16. We don't just by looking at the list of parts, especially in the for sale section. But if you click on the part to add it to your bag in the replacement parts section (not the sale section), it will say "We’ll need proof of purchase before we can send you the part. Please provide this by entering the 7-digit number from the back of your Building Instructions booklet." The tile heart is also coming up with the same message, so presumably currently marked as licensed:
  17. I'm between neutral / don't really care for them. I used to like the odd one every so often, but S18 dropped that for me. S18 did for costume characters what S14 did for the monster characters. I preferred getting one or two decent ones every now and then, rather than loads at once. When loads come at once, I feel the quality of them drop a bit.
  18. Wow, very impressive. It looks like the fairly simple route like making a floor using the cheese slope parts, but I guess this wouldn't work so well once you lift the finished piece vertically. The finished result is way better than the regular mosaic technique of using a square based grid. What goes on behind the scene is just as impressive (if not more impressive) than the final picture.
  19. They all have the neck print for identifying the correct orientation too. I thought the Chinese made/printed torsos didn't need this. So could it be that these are not produced in China? It would seem odd, but maybe they are just packaged for the Far East market, and not necessarily all the parts made there.
  20. Yeah, although online they will probably be in both categories. For example, the "Unikitty! Collectibles Series 1" can be found when browsing both the Unikitty! theme and the Minifigures theme. I think the Juniors sets are the same - although The Joker Batcave Attack is in the DC Super Heroes section, it can also be found via the Juniors selection too. You are probably right about licensed Minifigure themes too. Currently, the Harry Potter series is formally in the Minifigures section, but also viewable from the Harry Potter section. It would make sense to do it the other way around (not that it matters much).
  21. I'm sure it would be interesting to visit, but I'd get diverted into the STROOPWAFELS store next door.
  22. Even LEGO is not consistent with the naming - although they do not use the term bracket at all. These "brackets" all have different keywords: PLATE WITH PLATE UPWARDS, ANGULAR PLATE, ANGLE PLATE: This one is officially know as: PLATE WITH VERT TUBE. It is interesting to note that the key piece in naming it is the 1x2 plate, not the 2x2 tile part.
  23. Forget about the number of parts in a set - it is not a good number if you are MOCing. Look at the number of USEFUL parts in a set. Are you after mainly 1x4 bricks or 1x2 bricks for your buildings? If so, then look at the number of those, and in the right colour schemes, in a set. You will probably find bricklink is the cheapest place to buy them, probably used condition. It does depend on the colour of course. Street type buildings are popular (as are castles and space ships) so any colours used in those in useful sizes tend to be more expensive.
  24. I think that is a clear indication that LEGO has a definition of what a minifigure is and Unikitty does not fit it. It is not a surprise to me that they have gone with calling these CHARACTERS rather than MINIFIGURES.
