In your history, you seem to have missed an entire series of CMF, individual CMFs from other series, and there have been specific Halloween sets in just about every year recently.

Can Successful LEGO Ideas Sets Revive Retired LEGO Themes?
MAB replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Steampunk does not resonate with kids. LEGO designers have said in the past that such ideas do not playtest well with kids. They have built elements into other themes such as Ninjago, that is all we are likely to get. -
What to do when a knock off brand steals your moc?
MAB replied to legoMoccer's topic in General LEGO Discussion
How do you know it was turned down because it was 'copied' and not because it was not a suitable project for LEGO, when LEGO do not give reasons for not accepting ideas? Which IDEAS projects were these? -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 21. Rumors and discussion
MAB replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It isn't confirmed that every series will be 12 figs per series though, is it? Just this one. As for the chances of getting the minifigures you want are higher - this is only true if all figures are of equal desire to everybody. As soon as one figure is more popular and you can tell which figure is which, then the chances of getting that figure drop. -
[NCS]-Space city under construction, Â microscale

Looks great. I wish those nexo hex plates were more widely used and more available. -
Come off it, the set is about Scrooge!

I don't let mine build up. As soon as I can get a discount voucher I take it.

Unfortunately, many CMFs have raised hopes in the past.

Blimey. This is what happens when you drink before applying stickers to LEGO.

It is hardly quick cash. They bought the rights in 2017, and are supposedly committing $1billion to it. Strikingly realistic, just like the Roman soldier back in 2012. Many of the historical and warrior figures have been reasonably realistic, but nothing has come of them.

I sorted my entire Lego bin and began rebuilding :) 10000, Guarded Inn
MAB replied to romulan's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nice little set. Although I think you have mixed light grey and light bluish grey together. Probably the same with the old dark greys and no doubt the browns too. -
Looking like something that is a not a LEGO minifigure. Remember these lines are nearly always sold as "collectable minifigures". Ones that have deviated from this are the Unikitty line and also the TLM2 line. In TLM2, one character was not a minifigure - Unikitty. And the packet for this series said "1 LEGO character" instead of "1 LEGO minifigure". If they do Road Runner as a single molded part or from non-minifigure parts, it won't look like a minifigure, and I doubt they will call it a minifigure.

Do you think lego will ever realese another space theme
MAB replied to arealhuman's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I saw a kid choose a Luke's Landspeeder set yesterday in a store. The dad was trying to push his kid towards getting a Marvel set but the kid really wanted the Landspeeder. Also the LEGO SW comic/magazine seems to sell well here and I imagine it is mainly to kids. Although I will be buying one when they do Cloud City Luke. -
Is TLG now definitely phasing out baseplates?
MAB replied to merman's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I doubt they are disappearing completely, as you say modulars will not align properly without them. Diagon Alley is a modern set (and not a modular) and that uses baseplates. -
LEGO have said that it is not their intention to sell parts on BL.

Production, maybe, but not necessarily before development started. Note the release dates of Jurassic World sets, they had lots in 2015 then nothing until 2018. For all we know it was developed early on but not early enough for the 2015 releases and then not suitable for release alongside the 2018 releases if they didn't want it going up against the big Lockwood Estate set. This will always be the problem when fan designed licensed sets are allowed in IDEAS, especially for licenses that LEGO already has. At some stage, someone will have made a submission similar to something that LEGO brings out later.

What would work is Tweety Pie as both an accessory and a minifig. So he could come as an accessory with Sylvester and as a minifigure for using in stand alone situations.

Not really, you cannot read anything into what the SDCC set is. -
LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
MAB replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It is not an either or situation. They could well do a UCS version if they think there is a market for it. The microscale set was intended as a SDCC exclusive set, so it had to be small, or nothing. -
Do you think lego will ever realese another space theme
MAB replied to arealhuman's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Will they ever bring back a space theme? Probably not, unless you include re-doing space in City. Will they ever do another space theme? Probably. -
No it wasn't according to LEGO. Like the GB HQ and other similar sets, it would have been in development before the review, before reaching 10K and probably before submission. It is true that a similar design was submitted to IDEAS and reached 10K but not true to say that LEGO based their design on it.
-
And remember that the designer of the original little piano that made it to 10,000 also submitted the same design to cuusoo (after LEGO dropped cuusoo in favour of IDEAS), so there was no way LEGO was going to approve that model.

Yeah, Goofy is about twice the size as Mickey yet both are almost the same height in minifigure form, then Chip and Dale only very slightly smaller. They could almost do away with the torso completely and have a combined head/torso/neck that attaches on top of minifigure legs. Minifigure legs are way too fat of course. Whatever they do, if they do Road Runner, he will look weird - either trying to map him onto a LEGO-like minifigure or make him look non-LEGO like.

The Nebulon-B Frigate 77904 sure looks nice and is done quite well at that scale. Probably going to be another one to bricklink rather than try to buy boxed.
