  1. As far as I know certain elements are color locked exactly because any change would lead to different clutch power/tolerances, hence the grey for the plate modified with ball joint. Transparent elements used to be from PC instead of ABS, so a different mould had to be used. Nowadays they can use the same tooling since they switched to MABS.
  2. Fun fact: The last thing mentioned in the BDP Series 7 Webinar was that there are way too few submissions as pure Technic sets, so if anyone wants a 2025 fan-made set come to life, now is your chance to design one until end of January. BDP Team + LEGO "are definitely open to having more Technic sets...that would be really cool to see". If I had the time and creativity some of the fans here have, I would submit something cool that we never see in this theme, due to this ongoing trend that cars and licenses sell way better. 3. Probably because pneumatics are expensive elements and trying to avoid/limit them in sets as much as possible. This external box is not supposed to represent a generator with hydraulic accumulator but the electric battery needed to charge such an excavator over night.
  4. It's just a distribution gearbox, like coupling the fake electric motor together with the piston engine or just running on the ICE alone. So not your traditional multi-speed gearbox between diff and engine.
  5. I just found out set 10313 uses Green 32L Technic axles and now 10342 will introduce these in Dark Green too! So 3 different shades of green + black for a single type of axle and yet, the useful axle lengths are color locked to ugly looking yellow, red, brown etc. :( At least 32015 Technic Axle and Pin Connector Angled #5 in Green is re-introduced. Looks like G500, P1 and LRV parts have been added to B&P. The optical fiber in 224 mm length costs 4.06€, 80 mm costs 1.77€ https://www.lego.com/de-de/pick-and-build/pick-a-brick?icmp=PAB_All_Pieces&system=TECHNIC&sort=created_at-desc&perPage=400
  6. I guess technically these claws are highly specialized Technic pieces. Could come in handy for a reach stacker of sorts.
  7. This guy is clearly stealing away @kbalage's fame. Can't you two have a mutual cartel agreement that RB will publish Technic reviews first? ;)
  8. @Auroralampinen Was about to post the same. P.S. I corrected my Studio model. I think LEGO counts the sticker sheet as a part nowadays because I have exactly 332.
  9. Awesome job!
  10. I believe this is the first review: https://brickset.com/article/116727/review-42201-deep-sea-research-submarine
  11. At least the colors would match. It would also be beneficial if the sticker wouldn't have to cover the whole part. Even better, proper transfer stickers that last a decade.
  12. Aw man, a cool new Volvo Wheel Loader, but neither pneumatic nor powered up, even though it's an electric model irl? What a shame... Couldn't care less about the cars and how they'll mess up the bodywork again.
  13. It's just infuriating when they can't even match the sticker background with the element color. Why not make transparent ones instead when most of it are just text/logos? Covering up red matte panels with whole surface shiny stickers is pretty dumb. Same goes for adding brake hoses not connected to the brake levers.
  14. I just noticed this topic today! Glad you found your way back to LEGO Technic after your Dark Ages and managed to build so many great things so quickly out of a couple of sets. You're really creative. Might I suggest you to try and buy used sets too, not only multiples of new ones, as they contain useful pieces that are already retired. If you're into pneumatics try to find the legendary 8455 Back-Hoe, it contains 10x cylinders and 7x 3-way valves, or my favorites 8110 Unimog and Arocs 42043. 42082 Rough Terrain Crane is also a monster and an excellent parts pack. Want to build something with the heaviest wheels, try 8466. Have fun!
  15. Great idea! Looks like taken out of a role-playing fairy tale. I also like these pale colors more than in the Animal Crossing heads.
  16. Thanks! Silly me, I even had them left over and didn't notice. 11L in lbg are not even in the part inventory.
  17. Made some more progress on the truck. Didn't find a place for all the parts yet. Unfortunately no fake engine or tilting cabin even though there would have been plenty of room. :( https://brickset.com/inventories/42203-1
  18. Agree, but then you'd also need a new propeller element with opposite pitch angle, which LEGO did not use here. So they need to spin the same way on this sub.
  19. A whole days work, but it's finally done and all parts accounted for! The folding mechanism is pretty cool. 42201.io Fun fact: On the official box images and lifestyle pics the propellers spin opposing ways because the right tan bevel gear is mounted wrong. In the below image the right prop would spin CCW, not CW as shown. But all 3 props are supposed to spin in the same direction. The only place it's shown correctly is in the 360° animation.
  20. Made some more progress on the plane with the help of the part inventory. I'm 99% confident about the build. Same link as before for the Studio file.
  21. All understood, that JCB wants their yellow to be different, but why the backhoe was not licensed too with JCB color, when we had sets as small as polybags with Volvo license, is still not logical.
  22. @Auroralampinen Thanks! Based on the part list I was able to find the missing pieces and correct the wrongly assumed parts in my digital build. You can use the same link from before for the new revision.
  23. Nice finding @msk6003! And since it was requested by PM, here's the 1x2 Liftarm with tow ball part from the F1 sets in case you want to experiment with it. https://filetransfer.io/data-package/okLvHUWc#link And the 1x9 Flip-flop beam: https://filetransfer.io/data-package/WkNf5CpJ#link P.S. I think the Bush Plane also contains a recolored 1x7 Flip-flop beam in lbg. Hard to tell if it's not dbg, but it seems lighter.
  24. I'm talking about the white ones below the wings.
  25. It's tipping the scales of value for money and what we are able to tolerate. ;)
