    Hi everyone, I plan to make a big island, as realistic as possible, starting with a "volumetric" ocean (ie, higher than one plate). I've tried and look at different technics, but I can't find something beautiful. My idea was to have part of coral reefs with transparent tiles or plates or rounds above, but the result doesn't work. Any ideas or example? Thanks in advance!

    I red recently that 17th-18th houses or "habitations" in Martinique and Guadeloupe was painted in white or yellow ocher with timbered structure. If you're interested in, I can send you the link (sorry, it's in french, but with pictures). It's a scientific publication.

    So beautiful! I love the modular building technique, and I've already choose it for my next fort (but it'll be simplier than yours). And great colours scheme ;)

    Great "refresh" of this kind of building! I love the idea of movable part and light, and really love all the details. However, it will be hard to display on an event or exhibit and show front and back side?

    @Raskolnikov : Polanski ;) @Dreamweb : I'm not sure, as you mentionned, that it can be released as a theme, due to the fact that most of the "interesting" points of the pirates line are not in this movie (skull and crossbones, eyepatch, big battles with lot of dead, etc. so you know...). But for AFOL, it would be great ;)

    Very very good. Lovely details. And this head in a sack :) Are your creations independent? Or are they intended to be assembled in a bigger MOC?

    What a strange piece for the angle... sure can be used for something else ;)

    Exactly. With a gap (for gun) and 2x3x1 slopes between each of them. But i'm not sure it will fit well with the global shape of the ship. It's hard to get the correct angle, I presume, to make this bow as realistic as possible.

    Good work ! The "bubble" on the right gun can be the same on each gun (most rounded).

    It's not build on base plate (due to modularity), but it's approximately 3 plates by 4 plates of 32 studs each (25cm), so 75 centimeters by 100 centimeters. (And it's not a rectangular plan). Here's the not builded version :)
