[O - G03] Preparing the XB-15 test flight
Bob De Quatre replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in AG1 Archive
Thanks everyone We'll see what revelations surfaces in the next weeks The drone is quite simple. A previous version's head just had a 2x2 white round plate and some various 1x1 round tiles. -
Location: G03 - New california Tags: Spaceship, military I boarded the OCS Axle in orbit over New California. Dr Long asked to come, she said we needed to talk about our past... Honestly, I dont know what she is talking about. I knew her for a long time, even before she got her doctorate, but as far as I remember, we didn't have that type of past. Anyway, I wandering around the hangars with a cup of coffee when I spotted a particular fighter. A robot-pilot informed me that it was a new fighter prototype, meant to test new weapons and fuel. I don't like these "guys"... They even can't to hold their coffee cups right, and that's a prerequisite for any Octan employee ... With experimental awesomnium enhanced weapons, experimental fuel derived from Xerillian's biomass and an experimental pilot, that mission could only go wrong. And I suspect Danielle to have anticipated that issue since she deployed on of her balls. I call balls her surveillance drones, cause they look like balls... and because I'd so like to shoot them. Having one here, recording the flight, can only mean she thinks the flight recorder might not be recovered... Maybe I should just pilot that thing, maybe I'll have a good surprise. And I can't be worse than that discussion with Danielle...

"On Arium Major, a tree decided to grow on a cliff. The other trees mocked him, saying that after some time he'll fall in the water. But the tree didn't listened to them. He choose a nice place, just by the edge of the cliff, above the red lake, and took root. Rewarding his bravery, the bacterias that colored the lake started dwelling on his leaves, coloring them with a bright pink hue. He was the most beautiful tree of the region, but in all his beauty, he is lonely..." I decided to build a microscale landscape, with a purposely blocky style. After spending some time building, it became clear that I won't have all the bricks needed to create what I had in mind... So I turned to LDD and Bluerender...

Exact, please modify your entry, thanks.

I corrected the data on the map, and since MANTIS only got 200 biomass instead of 350, I transfered 150 biomass from Kawashita's vault to MANTIS... The wrong has been righted.

No, I don't want to answer you... Of course this doesn't apply to regulators since they don't have access to AG staff forum

You can put a border.

I'm thinking that in the future when posting important post about rules, I'll just throw some random words, as noone read them anyway Regarding the changes, we'll wait next week to apply tthem, since it could interfere with how this week was played.

Yesterday I did some renders with both BR and POVRay, and I'll keep the BR ones I really like that this program is simple but yet produce quality pictures. The discussions on the previous pages make me worried that the software loose its simplicity. Anyway, what I'd like is a simple settings page that'd let you change little things like resolution or background color.

Is it me or Bacem's legoformers keep getting better?
-
No problem. If you are building a spaceship hangar, then you are building a hangar, so no spaceship tag. If you actually built a car, even in background, it would count. If you just put 4 wheels attached to a seat and a driving wheel just to get a "land vehicle" bonus, then it's a problem with you and your conscience... but personnaly I won't accept it

No, your build is okay, even if the story could have been more explicit on the spying part. In case of "problem", I would have posted in the build thread, because PMs are considered too secret I just thought it was a good time to remind everyone about those rules. The tags are important, and some equipments have restrictions.
-
To everyone, until now we have been quite tolerant on tags on build, but as the game progress and players starts to get equipments and corporation learn technologies, it is important that every player use correct tags, as they are used to award jobs and techs bonuses. A note on spying builds: make sure that your build comply with the description of spying builds, especially if you use a Spying outfit!

No, your entry should depict nature before the "invasion".

I reworded the first question and tried to explain a bit more how it work.

Hi there, Some points were raised that could change some of the rules. So we decided to ask you opinion on these questions before taking any action (or not). The poll will stay open until Saturday, and any change will be made before week 5 scoring. Should the control on a planet be calculated after every builds are scored? Right now weekly builds are scored in the order they were posted, and control over the planet is checked after each scoring. This could be changed so that control checks happens only when every builds are scored. For example: if a corporation A gains 30 DP at the beginning of the week on a planet, and a corporation B gains 40 DP on the same planet at the end of the week, with the actual mechanism the corporation A will have control on the planet since at one time they would have reached 30 DP and other corps have 0, if we change the mechanism, neither corporation A or B will take control of the planet since none has 30 more DP than the other corps. Should a corporation lose control of a planet if it reaches 0 domination points on that planet? At this time a corporation A can lose control over a planet only when a corporation B get 30 DP more than corporation A on that planet. A new rule could added so that a corporation that has control on a planet lose it if it reaches 0 DP after some Aliens Civilization builds. Should build be only allowed on planets controlled by a corporation and adjacent planets only if it can chain back to the home planet through controlled planets? A new rule could be added so that a corporation can only build on planet it controls or adjacent planets, if that planet can be chained back to the home planet through controlled planets.
