Bob De Quatre replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in Andromeda's Gates
From this week on, the weeks will be from Monday to Sunday. So you have until Sunday evening. -
That's most probable... I have crappy Norton Internet Security at work. It reported the trojan problem on lwjgl32.dll, and marked the other dll as unsafe.
-
Why can't you view the map? It doesn't show or is it a tooltip problem?

100x100 pixels picture please. -
Sometimes I wonder if we all have access to the same bricks, especially when I see creations like "Breakfast" from LegoJalex. There isn't one spot on the picture that isn't a feast for the eyes. Go take a look, it will make you hungry.

I think you can give a sense of scale in the desciption of your build, for example you can descibe a creature and give its measurements.
-
Could you provide a 100x100 pixels avatar picture, thanks.

I should build more Star Wars in general... But I have something coming up in the next weeks

You're right, discussion about rules should be in the Rules and FAQ thread. -
You should have access t the planet when you post your entry. And challenge builds don't count as your weekly freebuild.

Challenge 1: Into the Wilds... Having just arrived in the Andromeda's galaxy, members of the three corporations are sent out to make their first steps in unknown worlds. The planets are treacheous, with hostile climats, ferocious animals (or plants), and various harsh environments. Let's hope everyone will come back safe and sound... Staff notes In Andromeda's Gates you'll have lots of planets and different environments to explore. This first challenge was designed to familiarize players with some techniques to build landscapes, rocks, plants or animals. We encourage you to take a look at some posts in the History subforum, like the Snot Rock Tutorial by kabel or A Guide To Tree Building by Venunder. Of course animals must be brickbuilt, don't try to sell us a Tauntaun! Remember that all entries are WIP until the deadline, so don't hesitate to ask for comments and advices. Prizes The corporation with the highest score will receive 200 Awesomnium, 100 Water and 100 Biomass. Player with the highest personnal score will receive 75 Credits. (In case of a tie for first place, judges will decide of the winner). Rules All rules in the General Rules thread apply unless otherwise. Players and corporations will earn credits, resources and domination points according to the players' score. The three corporation's goal is to depict their members "first sight" of the planets they have access to, representing either fauna, flora or the environment/landscape. Entries must only show natural environment, players' character must not be represented in the build. There is a size restriction of 24x24 studs, minimal overhang allowed. The challenge will run from May 25th to June 21st. As long as it is still June 21st somewhere in the world, you can still enter. Entries posted after the deadline will be disqualified from the challenge and will not be scored. Entries will be judged according to the General Rules. A corporation score is calculated by adding 0,25 points for each of its players to the average of their scores. This challenge is open to all players of Andromeda's Gates, even if they joined EB or signed up for the game after the challenge has begun; the Andromeda's Gates staff, EB admins and moderators are not eligible to win prizes but may earn credits. All entries must be new creations, not posted anywhere else prior to being entered in the challenge. You may be asked by a staff member to change your entry if it is too similar to an earlier creation. All entries must be built from real LEGO or with Lego Digital Designer. No clone brands, no third-party custom parts. All entries must be posted as a new topic in the Andromeda's Gates subforum, the title prefixed by, "[Challenge 1]". (For example, "[Challenge 1] Farmoli's plains".) Post pictures no larger than 1000x720, as specified in the EB Member Guidelines. You may do a 'full-blown photo edit' with all the text, effects, background compositing, support erasing, and other effects onone picture. All your other pictures may have no editing other than color adjustment or background removal for a solid-color background. For obvious reasons, any photo editing that changes the shape, functionality, or color (not tint or adjustment, but actual color) of a LEGO piece is prohibited. All entries are considered WIPs (Works In Progress) until the deadline passes. Until the deadline has passed, you are allowed to change and improve your MOC.

Bob De Quatre replied to nebraska's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I guessed it was the Joubert Lock, but the canal next to it didn't looked familiar. I found a map of the port in 1942, bit you probably already seen it: It's nice to see such a great MOC from my hoùmmetown
