  1. An awesome review of a great little set. I may have to find some of these around. The photos are really clear and the text is well written. Thanks for putting the time in to review this set and congrats on achieving your Silver medal too.
  2. Oooohhhh very cryptic! Well the Emerald Express may be the winner there. Lets not forget the Carousel, Christmas village, Rebel Blockade Runner, and new Modular house (who knows when). These could still be hitting our shores later this year too.
  3. This posse is ready to roll then! Herman, you are the only Poindexter for me No one could match your puzzle solving skills cept maybe Mark! Thats why we work well together, I gots the guns, you gots the brains! Now point me in the direction of workin! Works on getting the guns all warmed up
  4. Since this is done I will close it. Good luck finding these people Guss.
  5. As I have noticed before the months mentioned for release are the months when sets are considered available at all retailers (fully stocked around the country) This doesn't stop us seeing the sets earlier if we are lucky as places like Big W pay for the exclusive sales rights over other shops. So maybe we will still see some goodies early after all. I am very excited about seeing exclusives available in retail chains especially the Medieval Market Village set, a set like this should be available to the masses! What is the deal with the Toyworld Exclusive Endor, they must have paid TLC a lot to get this exclusively! My local Toyworld is such a small dive that I can't even see them getting it in, let alone paying the $200 retail. I shall seek other avenues like eBay for this.
  6. Ok, where is your camera? We want to see those pics, they sound very cool!
  7. You do the thinking then poindexter, my guns are ready for the action! Back to the farm.
  8. One of my favourite movies of all time! You have certainly done the APC more than justice, it is great!
  9. ....and lo it was doneth! This is another great masterpiece Kris! You amaze me with the time and intricacy that has gone into this town, ship, and figures! I love the piece intensive walls on all of the buildings, even down to the chimney. Here is a pic of the ingenious figures. Kris could you explain what the grey pieces are to me please? Once again, truly a masterpiece!
  10. Just got the Big W catalogue. The big toy sale starts in 3 weeks! I hope this year it will be the release of Pirates at nicely marked down prices, just like Castle was last year. For example I got the Orc ship for $68 (retails 99) and the Tower Raid for $36 ($50) though its now marked clearance at Kmart for about the same, though you had to wait a year for that price I expect Kmart will start to plug their sale soon too, last year they got in the Millennium Falcon and AT_AT, what will it be this year?
  11. I'm keen to poke around the other branch line near the farm too. I am curious as to what "Danger" refers too.
  12. Awesome again Sly, Though I haven't seen the movie yet, I can recognise your colour scheme and palette instantly. This is an amazing build, the trench on the side is my favourite part, but the rest of the creation is certainly not lacking in details. Good luck, I feel you have shown a grand scale battle off really well.
  13. I really like the shaping on the tower The colour scheme is very bright for a tower, and a lot of colours seem to clash against each other, however it has a certain charm too. The tree looks nice too. Well done.
  14. Another greta creation DNL, I like this one more than the large entry Very rich in details, especially on the Tudor house. The mob are in fine form too. All up I love all the details and feel this captures the building brief well, good luck.
  15. So you have been branching out Thrash! I wondered what you had been up to. This is a great representation of a Pirate space craft Lots of great features, like the blast doors, the cannon, cargo netting, its all good, mean and not in the slightest bit aerodynamic! Space Brick On!
  16. If the "Official Johnson Inspectors are finished fooling with Hermans Johnson wanabe, can we get back to the map! Here it is again to jog our memories. Just out of interest, where are we at the moment? 3?
  17. Jethro is a good man, of this we can vouch. Its his father we are worried about! Setting bear traps in the shed for crying out load. Lets crank this handcar up or get the tractor movin, or do somethin useful already. Schmelt whats for lunch?
  18. I used to have someone at Lego Aus I emailed a few times, and she was very helpful, however last time I emailed her it didn't go through and I got passed on to overseas where the response to when Pirates would be available was "The pirates line is already available in S@H and we expect it is also readily available at retail outlets in Australia too" This was a reply from around Jan/Feb. Clearly in touch with the Aus market $60 for Drawbridge seems better than $70 to me. I would snap that up.
  19. Well, it turns out we took one of two directions in the hand car, and the other way mentioned danger. This may have been because of the exploding diesel tanker though. I also believe as Mark does that there is a missing part of the map, that we haven't seen yet. My guns are up for some more travelling on the hand car if you are looking for a helper to explore the rail network. As for Mr X being Jessica, I may have miss heard someone elses account of there adventures. Also Austin don't forget that you were stung by a scorpion! He's still a little delusional....
  20. Well I don't believe the good townsfolk are going to leave us alone at this point so we may as well discuss where we are headed, and more about this Mr X, Jessica person too. I hope Max is ok after the cleaver thingy
  21. Is it possible to switch a Johnson rod? In rod we trust!
  22. That's right, who is really in a hurry to get back to the lunatics on the train anyway? Besides Mark, there isn't too many people that I have time for. Inspects Herman's underwear WOW wee, what do you know! still not dry enough to put back on yet Herman. Lets check out the "small switching tower" then
  23. Love the nice cross promotion, maybe you could pick up some new underwear I'm off to check our local toyworld out then. Thanks Darth, its the same as this page on S@H that you can keep in your bookmarks, I certainly do. I have been checking it everyday lately to see when the new sets will be up for Star Wars. Products launched in 2009 Cheers
  24. These asbestos shoe soles Scruffy! They slowed us down mighty fast, and the best thing is there is no possible side effects from asbestos! My apologies Austin, we were always coming back this way to pick you guys up, just wanted to scout around whilst you had a rest. So you got drunk and ran over Eleanor's potential husband hey? That's some mighty interesting news right there.
  25. Tell me what goes nicely on a steak Austin? any ideas? Maybe a large bowl of ketchup catchup! We gotta keep moving, especially when the guns are warmed up! Wipes his face with a sweaty handkerchief. Wait a minute this is one of Hermans not-so-tighty-wighties, eeeeeeewwwwww! Gross!
