  1. Lets get our dates all set then. Myer 20% off starts thursday 25th June Big W starts 2nd July Kmart 20% off starts 2nd July....server too busy to get on Target starts July 23 No word on anything at DJ's Toyworld don't seem to actually be marking down new stuff, sale is on now though for Castle and Endor. TRU has Twilight, Police station and Power Miners set discounted heavily, and other stuff marked up ridiculously. Did I miss anything? Whats the set number for the 1600 pieces Hewman?
  2. It was important to blend the curved walls into the straight walls of the CCB design. I agree about the turntable bases, I had forgotten i placed them on until looking through the photos, as for the Tudor building I was very happy with all the detailing I was able to put into it. I wanted it to be parallel in to sections but the space limitations drove me crazy. So I had to resort to the brown stairs. As for the grey wall, I just couldnt come up with a good way to close in one side of the stairs to create storage on the other side. Nonsense, I appreciate your critique. When someone takes the time to improve my work it will only get better. Thanks I like a bit of a mix to break it up and show wear and tear as well as what quality of stone was available in Medieval times.
  3. Joined and spammed posted some pics successfully
  4. Here you go The bottom two appear to be the official sets. I remember the Futuron set, but not the other. Both are beautiful, and I would love to get an update.
  5. Well that took a few years off my life I can tell you. Well I tried to draw a map of the train lines, but the voice didn't seem to hear my pleas for some grease proof paper to draw on Nothing really of note, no X's seen anywhere, but a big storms a comin, so we best take shelter back on the train mighty soon.
  6. LOL, I wonder why?! Nice A Wing btw Hewman. You may say that, but you are greatly mistaken, this set is crammed full of great stuff, not just figures! If you can afford it, then get one.
  7. A work of art! Thanks for sharing.
  8. Fine then lets put this buzzard down!
  9. Go for it, no one has done it yet.
  10. Thank you all again! It has taken a little while to accumulate the huge amount of grey bricks etc, but I really like how it turned out. Now if I can just inspire another person to take Castle building up, my work is done. Cheers
  11. Oops, actually the catalogue was for May found them in the car and assumed they were all current I mean, Yes Myer has 20% off Lego at moment! So where do we find out more about this community ordering, is it through Bricklink members or somewhere else? At those prices you could almost qualify as a business and save that way too, something to consider I guess.
  12. Can we see any 'Xs' from the air? and land there instead?
  13. Target has 20% off Lego till Wed, I think it has been missed in the rush to find out about the big sales coming.
  14. Great work WBD, a fantastic Back Gatehouse. I love the surplus shop, the dress, and the action overall. The wall has come out well, esp the staircase. We are back baby! CCB On!
  15. Thats true, perhaps we should look for any train lines leading to swiches 6 and 7, I can draw a quick map if someone has some grease paper? Then we could be in for some fun with the clouds!
  16. Great review of a much sought after set. Thanks heaps Copmike, you the man
  17. Thanks to all the nice comments guys and gals Cheers, looking forward to your latest project and maybe a new CCB submission in future. I was hoping you would point me in the direction of improvements Teddy, you knowledge of castles is greatly appreciated, thanks for the nice comments about the curved walls too, took a while to blend them in to the surrounds. Cheers, now you know what I was busy building All that work and you like the war hammer the best Thats the real challenge Sandy, trying to get past the "big grey wall" syndrome! Never be embarrased by what you can build, MOCs come in all shapes and sizes and all have some inner beauty to them. Besides I have seen your work in the CCB and those tan towers were great! Cheers Wout, thanks for the nice words.
  18. Your a good man svelte! You have soothed me and the reassurance is great....20% off coming to a large retail shop near me!
  19. WHOA! EDIT: see below, I love to jump the gun like that... Here's the link btw
  20. Thank you very much guys, glad you like the internal details too. Cheers
  21. With the awesome work from all around the world contributing to the Community Castle Build I couldn't allow the Castle to go without a Gatehouse truly worthy of all the other great creations. I hope you all like it. I created this topic to revive the interest in finishing off all the modules and to show a lot more pictures than I allow in the Beta and Alpha Threads. Here is a link to the pinned discussion thread too. Cheers I dedicate this MOC to Stash2sixx, he is a top bloke and great member of Eurobricks. Castle Gatehouse I'm not sure the name of the building in the middle but the holes in the floor were called Murder Holes, the boiling oil is tipped down on raiders attacking the castle gates, however rocks and other things were used more often as oil was a precious commodity in Medieval times. More pictures can be seen by changing the numbers at the end from 001-035 http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Iscreamclone/Castle/EBCCB/Gatehouse/015.jpg The Community Castle needs you?
  22. I wish to look for the train line out of town or roads out of town. Good idea to look for any X's from the sky too
