I assume this is indicative of a polybag to come... a contact of mine sent this photo to me, given out to the press at the New York Toy Fair as a teaser. Since it's a polybag, I assume it will be part of a promotion later on, given out in mass quantities. Similar, to the Shirtless Maul in 2012 and the White Boba Fett in 2011. Hopefully, a freebie with the Batcave!

I lacked the Gondor/Orc minifigures for this scene, however I believe the modified soldiers to be an adequate replacement. Small build I whipped up to represent the tragic "Fall of Osgiliath". I hope to do something more complex when I have more bricks... currently, my piece collection is quite small! More photos: https://www.flickr.c...s/90319613@N07/

Star Wars Episode VII- Looking for Luke The final scene of Star Wars Episode VII leaves the series open ended and full of promise. The Millennium Falcon lands on a mysterious island and Rey climbs the rocky slopes to discover Luke Skywalker in waiting. I sought to capture this scene via LEGO micro. Let me know what you think! One of my favorite scenes in Lord of the Rings is Sam chasing after Frodo at the end of the Fellowship, despite Sam's inability to swim. I wanted to try and capture this scene with LEGO bricks. Let me know what you think! Flickr for more pictures and to stay updated with all my latest projects! https://www.flickr.com/photos/90319613@N07/ "I made a promise, Mr. Frodo. A promise. [MOC] American Ambush 1776 at Unnamed Creek
samiam391 replied to samiam391's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks for all the comments! For those discussing the minifigure choice... I actually have a very limited selection of "military" LEGO. The TLR minifigures are the only ones I currently have that can substitute as American Revolutionary War soldiers. I actually think they are a pretty good substitute, although I agree the uniforms are a bit "modern" for the time period. I'll see if I can improve that for my next MOC :) -
[MOC] WIP ~20,000 piece Battle at Helm's Deep
samiam391 replied to samiam391's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Sorry, that you don't appreciate it. It's not for everyone! However, I would encourage you to re-watch LotR as another member suggested. The number I have on "display" is a lot less than what I really should have :) In addition, I've mentioned this is a WIP. I merely set up everything in about 30 minutes to showcase what I've done so far. Upon completion of the model, there will be more space (I'm adding a second table), more figures, more castle... and more vehicles. That's why it's a WIP ;) Thanks to everyone else for the kind comments! I appreciate it. I haven't decided yet. I'm definitely considering adding my own stretch of wall. If not as a permanent piece, then as a place-holder.- 20 replies

LEGO Helm's Deep Project. Work in progress... I'm currently 10,000+ pieces in, with another 5,000-10,000 to go. I have approximately 500 more figures (400 Uruk-Hai and 100 Rohan) to add to the diorama upon its completion. I'm quickly realizing that I'll need to purchase another table if I plan to display this all in one piece ;) I wanted to update people on my progress thus far, I hope that you enjoy it! Credit to Brickstruct for instructions. More pictures available on my flickr: If you would like to receive updates on this project and others, please follow!

I recently ordered a large number of pieces as well as installed Adobe Photoshop. I gave both a shot yesterday by whipping up this build in a few hours and then using photoshop on it. Not the best, I have a lot to learn... but I'm pleased for a first try! More pictures available at:

Cavegod UCS AT-AT Instructions | "Walker Assault"
samiam391 replied to Cjd223's topic in LEGO Star Wars
You think building the head is bad? Just wait until you try and assemble it all together into one behemoth! It took about 10 tries (and multiple re-builds) for me to finally get it to stand on its own. Once it's finished though, it's truly an impressive sight.- 264 replies

Here's my army of Uruk-Hai vs Rohirim that I just recently setup in a battle scene over the Temple of Edoras. It should keep them occupied while I build my Helm's Deep MOC. :) More pictures available here too:

LEGO Neuschwanstein Castle MOC- 4,300 pieces.
samiam391 replied to samiam391's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The entire project from start to beginning took much longer than 4 days... once I had everything sorted though the actual build only took 4 days to complete. Just finished uploading more pictures... Eurobrick's picture uploader was giving me difficulty at first! -
Yesterday i finished my latest project of my favorite castle, Neuschwastein in Germany. I made a few changes along the way, and am very satisfied with the finished project. I've placed it proudly on display in the Library. It is comprised of approximately 4,300 LEGO bricks. Dimensions are: 72x26x42cm I hope you enjoy! Unfortunately, I'm having difficulty adding more than one photo. Credit to Thilo for instructions. Display location:

After 4 weeks of what felt like a battle more than a build, I've finally put the final piece in place on cavegod's AT-AT. Ever since I first saw pictures of it several years ago I've always wanted to try my hand at building it. However, there never seemed to be an opportunity, until a few weeks ago when cavegod ironically posted a listing of someone selling all the pieces to the AT-AT which he wanted taken down due to copyright. In an effort to appease cavegod (my excuse) I purchased the listing. A week later, the pieces arrived, and I dove in head first. After hours of building, improvising, fixing, building, improvising, rebuilding, fixing, improvising (you get the gist)... I have finally completed the monster roughly 3 weeks later. While I have my concerns over it falling over at the slightest touch, I'm in awe of Pete's creation. The attention to detail is simply incredible, you can't ask for much better. The scale is quite impressive too, as you can see from the (poorly and hastily taken) pictures below. Also, it only feels right to direct anyone interested in this set to @cavegod. Shoot him a PM and he'll send you the instructions for a very small, well deserved sum.
