  1. Alliance places the following bet (as this is a bit complicated to but all new bets inbetween previously placed ones - therefore the existing bets are marked with stated places, and the new ones are put between them - i hope this would be acceptable for Watto): 1 MstrOfPppts Ninja Nin 2 BEAVeR 3 LucasLaughing 4 Disco86 MontyPython 5 markus1984 6 goatman461 mkjosha 7 Flare 8 Sebeus I 9 Pointblank LegoFjotten Donnie Bricko 10 Artizan 11 Wat Tambor 12 Lord Tyrus Manx Wedge09 13 VK-318 14 Lego Spy Oharra 15 Commander Beltar Bob De Quatre Dapper-D2 Fleet 16 Mr Greeble 17 Kodan Black 18 Legofin2012 19 James Wellington Jakorin Swiftsword Jannik LordVladivus 20 GallardoLU 21 KevFett2011 Graham Gidman Kaitan Rook Aland1916 TWP 22 Tariq j philbrick Covi 23 Lobot 24 Nom Carver 25 Masked Builder rogueang 26 Mr Man 27 Behemoth (Goliath) 28 Kuat Drive Yards 29 Dragonfire narbilu 30 theman4090 Bkrosell 31 Mr Breden 32 Captain Settle LegoFan117 33 korpen4444 Pyrovisionary Hobbythom 34 JaseTJ 35 Ritz Brick BobThePom 36 SlimShady hench
  2. Wow. Each module was a masterpiece. But altogether - no words to describe it.

  4. Transmission to all Alliance builders: "Please get aquainted with the PM conversation post" .. end of transmission
  5. Don't know yet. Either this or re-sale. The sale price was too good to miss the opportunity.
  6. Christmas came a bit later this year.
  7. 'Need larger box, most certainly' 'Artist at work'
  8. Just wondering... Does the WHITE Rebel Hoth Trooper in the advent calendar mean that we'll have a re-design? Although, quite a nice one.
  9. I have thought about "level-based" earnings. What i did not like there is the absence of choise. One player may want to gather a team early on while another wants a ship and a droid to visit different planets.
  10. I'm not sure whether this is my finalized idea, but here it is. In brief - make the XP expendable ! ... or expire-able. (not sure of the proper word to be used) And make them usable. Now, in detail... 1. XPs age, i.e., say, in 12 months the XP one had earned from the challenge or freebuild will disappear. For the ranking purposes we could leave overall XP amount somewhere. So the rank will remain if the XPs age. 2. XPs are usable, i.e. you can "pay" with your points to get smth, for example: - 30 XP go "buy" a droid (this could be replaced by, say, 25 XP + freebuild showing how the droid is bought; the idea is that the amount of XP should be significant enough not to allow just to make one freebuild) - ... XP to "buy" an NPC companion, or to recruit an NPC trooper into the team - ... XP to "reach" new planet - ... etc 3. The expireable points are earned by building a character-based build. For example, if a challenge does not require your character to participate - you may decide to make a build on any planet with any NPCs, and you would get a full amount of "general" points - as it happens now - but no "expireable" points. If you decide to include your character - then you are limited to starting planet (or more, if you have "reached" any) and you would need to think of suitable story... so the build is more challenging. But you would get some "expireable" points for the build. 3.1. This would allow to include a third party to the challenge, and it would not be easy / not fun to join it, as a player would have, for example, some difficulties imagining how his "bounty hunter from Nar Eubrikka" would be included into the challenge of "building a Hoth battle scene with size limitation 32*32" if he did not "reached" the planet yet. :) 4. ... have to think ...
  11. Bob, thanks again for a very nice episode. The scoring results are very interesting, though. I've expected a much bigger "gap" in final points. The judges were really generous for the Alliance.
  12. Both builds together to illustrate how "past" scene fits on the "present".
  13. Nice catch! It is not the copy, though. The "past" scene is designed and built as the surrounding location to a "present" scene. And this middle part with a hatch is present on both scenes. If you look closer to the pictures of "past" scene, you'll also notice that the landscape is floating above the white background, and not lie on it. The same underground part on the "past" scene could be seen here. I 've decided not to show this in the initial post. And that was the exact thing I wanted to show on some additional WIP pictures. Hope to do that tomorrow.
  14. This is the next chapter of Wick Nole's story. Introduction. [soNE Freebuild] The Story Begins Chapter 1. [soNE Freebuild] A Fine Delivery Chapter 2. [soNE Freebuild] Unexpected Arrival -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Some moments after escaping the Imperial patrol... The smugglers (at least this is the only thing about them Wick was sure of) were preparing for the hyperspace jump, and Wick suddenly thought that they may not return to Corellia for some time. In such case there was a thing he would very much like to do. - "Before we leave this place..." - "What?!?!" - "There is one place, not far from here, that I believe is worth visiting. You may even find it "interesting" in case you decide to continue your business here someday." - "I'll pay you good money if you get me there." -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- The ship landed on a plateau near the place Wick had chosen. As the team walked out, Wick had taken the ancient-looking key and suddenly the small door opened in the ground - the key seemed to be both a guiding beacon and a remote control from the place and the door. The place was an old cave converted to vault. The Nole family had used it for many years, and Wick had continued this tradition. As others were preparing to transport Wick's possessions to the ship, Wick was briefly telling the story of this place and the oddly-shaped key to the captain and remembering some details about the days long gone. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- As the ship was finally leaving Corellia, Wick remembered the first time his dad showed him the cave and had given him his own copy of the key. All these years ago he could not have thought that one day this would be the only place to safely store most of his assets as his main house in the city was emptied or destroyed by the Empire (or would be in the nearest future). -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- As I would also like to show some additional details about these two scenes, some additional WIP pictures are to be added later in the separate comment.
  15. Wow! So soon after the previous challenge. Looking forward to lots of great entries!
  16. /me thinking of a possibility of the same classic X-Wing re-release, but with an addition of something extra. Yoda hut, for example, as it was in 2002-2003. TLG is applying the same release template with UCS X-Wing - (UCS TIE ?), why not take the same approach with system scale sets.
  17. Thank you for the comments. Yes, there were plans to build a larger version as well, but not yet sure on the scale. The minifig-scaled version would be almost half meter long if we use TIE as reference... a bit too much for me now. So, I am more thinking of 1/2 of minifig-scale - to construct and test the overall shape and appearance.
  18. This is the next chapter of Wick Nole's story. Introduction. [soNE Freebuild] The Story Begins Chapter 1. [soNE Freebuild] A Fine Delivery -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- After the cargo had been unloaded and transported inside the cave, the group followed. In the next minutes the remaining boxes were also removed and the only thing left on the platform was the small transport craft. As the platform was emptied, the hidden rock walls opened on the nearby cliff. The place was not as empty and deserted as Wick had thought. The corridors and caverns were not so long as Wick expected. The group soon reached one of the inner doors. - "That's it. We are not allowed to bring you any further now. But it is pretty safe here to talk." - "Safe?! Talk?! Where are you going with that? This is a simple "get cargo, get paid and get off" type of a deal. Unless you want something delivered somewhere, I'd very much like to move to "get paid" part of our previous deal." - "You'll get your payment. Soon." - "But beforehand we'd like to hear the story about those TIEs you brought with." - "WhoA&?!? What TIEs" -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- These TIEs. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- - "Attention, Rebels! This is an Imperial patrol. Do not try to lift off. The area is secured. Do not try to escape! Any escape attempt will be punished." - "Sir! There 's only one small ship.. although can be fast. Isn't it better just to..." - "Indeed..." -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- - "Seems that these're not your friends after all. Sorry for the ship though..." - "The TIEs, the rebels, my ship!!! What the hell is happening here?!" - "You've been followed. We have to leave now. " - "If you want to stay here - you surely may. But I do not recommend, the place will be filled with imperials in a minutes. You seem to be a reckless but good pilot - otherwise you'd not take this deal in the first place, and there are people who are always in need of reckless and good pilots. Better good then reckless, you know." - "If the Empire already thinks I had been with rebels, it is impossible to convince them I'm not... Get me out of this place." -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Here goes the first... ... and the second... ... and leaving. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- I wanted to try micro-scale for this build, and it seemed a good way to continue the story. But as I thought about the presentation - only the landscape shots were not enough, so the internal scene had to be done. I would have the MOC judged.
  19. Aren't the wings a bit too wide if compared to a reference picture? Other than that - a good clean build. Would be cool to see it "in bricks".
  20. Very cool attempt on build review. Keep on!
  21. I'd like to claim the tag as well.
