  1. No worries, we all have weak moments. I just noted, that I tend to Bugatty-ing recently...
  2. @Robo-Knight The Defender (42110) wheels also fit with the Bugatty wheel hubs + pins - as another option. I don't have the Porsche rims, but I guess the same method works there too. BTW - please don't start/bump 3 topic with the same question. As you can see, you have a lot of useful inputs in a very short time, patience is virtue. Also more practical to have all related answers/discussion in one place for easier follow-up, and for the future use for somebody else.
  3. Looks very good, I like the oldschool design. The only thing I would improve is the rear lights - I believe putting them on the corner edges would be more authentic and would add to the vintage spirit.
  4. @nerdsforprez As rider, I really like those lamp sculptures! I am not sure if I would dare to touch them while those are connected to the electric network - but they definitely help to protect your own Lego desk. 2 functions in 1.
  5. Some readings for the theme, if someone is interested: https://info.vethanlaw.com/blog/2015/10/what-is-the-difference-between-copyright-and-intellectual-property https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intellectual_property
  6. @howitzer I would make the axle design as simple as possible. Considering the necessary and given tolerances in Technic system, the more parts you throw into a structure, the more slack, unsecured connections will be added. Honestly, I would start with proven designs by LEGO (f.e.: 8110) and/or check this very useful topic to gather some ideas:
  7. @Gray Gear it is actually a thing for off-road usage: Nice MOC, but I have to disagree with your first statement in the video @camellia... sidecars were born by necessity, and combine all bad parts of motorcycling (exposed to weather, smell, dust) and cars (you will always find the worse lines on the road on 2 tracks, can not bypass easily due to the width - and can not lean into curves or play). Sidecars actually take away all the fun part of a motorcycle - from my perspective.
  8. Since moc-pages went down... If @steph77 doesn't mind, you can download the LDD file from here: 42053 C-model telehandler by steph77
  9. @SNIPE@Bartybum and all: sorry for the inconvenience, Promobricks has recently blocked the external usage of "their" pictures... not nice. Here you can find the original article: https://www.promobricks.de/lego-technic-sommer-2020-bilder/102934/
  10. @Bartybum I might have worded this indeed even more accurate, but I think you lost the focus about the topic we were discussing. If one wants to understand, than he/she will. I give you this point though. Hmmm, this is totally out of place. Not even the comparison stands. We are not talking about going into an unknown shop order fundamentally sh*t and eating sh*t once it was payed, No Sir! We are talking about visiting your favorite place and order a coffee and a cake. The cake is delicious but came with slightly too dominant dressing (i.e.: too sour). Maybe just a tiny tweak (less sour ingredient - see less pigment in the ABS here) in the receipt turns the combination for the best dessert ever. As you basically like the cake, and LOVE the place where you ordered it, you want to help them to make it even better. So you just tell to the owner, that: look it was very good as usual, but in this one just a less sour dressing would it make perfect. They will for sure appreciate, maybe even check it and tell: Oh, you are right, thank You for helping us! And next time you go there, you will be satisfied totally. Translation to LEGO: we are on a LEGO forum, where people gathered to express their passion and love for the products. This means we are interested in improvements, and in order to let our voice heard, we have feedback as tool. We should use this power.
  11. I don't see how one can twist the meaning to get your conclusion... especially if one reads the whole comment, and not only a part of it. It was all about the importance of written/verbal detailed feedback, and not about buying stuff regardless you like it or not.
  12. Feedback is the soil of improvement. It is important on every field of life. If TLG takes it as a note and acts accordingly, that is another question. The other way of giving feedback is not to buy Lego, but it gives no insights for the company, what went wrong, why the feelings escalated. I find the latter is the worse choice, there is no room left to cure the issues.
  13. @blondasek Same here, to me the 22961 parts look more dark red, almost like the wheels on the London bus. @kbalage I don't think it is different material than the liftarms, but even if they are indeed different, the color should match. I agree, we should give feedback by claiming, and build critical mass to build push on TLG for quality improvement. At the end of the day we are talking about premium toys/products.
  14. @grum64 That shed is a perfect relaxation place. Very inspiring, I wish a lot of joy in it for you and your belongings!
  15. @James Beyond It does look cleaner, great MOD! Can You share more details? Please note, that Eurobricks is not a picture hosting site, please use external storage (Bricksafe, Flickr, etc...), than you can link here the pictures in max 1024 wide format.
  16. + Brake disc rotors, and the Bugatti wheel hubs in LBG. That is pretty something for a medium sized set.
  17. Half gears don't mesh very well, only the tip of the teeth are in contact. I tested this too, but doesn't seem legit.
  18. Than it is not correctly representing the real movement, as paddles must be always pulled towards the steering wheel. I don't think it is actually a fail on the LEGO model, as due to the dimensions constraints it is indeed easier to pull it towards the dashboard through the "windshield". Though the movement direction is opposite as in real cars, it is still correct to use the right side for upshift and left side to downshift. It depends on the point of view, is the glass half full or half empty?
  19. Better picture appeared on Promobricks.
  20. @vectormatic Same thoughts here too. Though it is not 100% aligned, but does the job properly - and just a tad harder shifting feel. Only 3 parts needed. EDIT: added one more "led" to the headlight:
  21. Looks like I am the only one, for who the paddock stand works reasonably well. I must tilt ~5° to reach the tipping point. I didn't built it with full body panels as I modded mine, but still. Nice review with some inaccuracies, but overall I share the final note. I like the new dynamic 3D backdrop, good job @Sariel! @MangaNOID The tires are available at Pick-a-brick site too(at least n my country), just ordered.
  22. Looks good, looking forward for video demo!
  23. It is indeed more rigid, but dissolves the original idea of easy removable body panels. I did it anyway, as the bike looked overweighted with that belly, and turned it into a Streetfighter V4, details can be found in the 42107 topic (I didn't expected a separate topic). Added: fake front brakes, belly panels, clutch and brake lever, rear fender is widened, etc...
  24. I don't have the 20t clutch gear, so I leave this for somebody else. @Jeroen Ottens The idea is good, but it is already MOCing area for me. Despite the rubber bands, I actually like the original design, and the feel of the shifting can be described really as premium. I can flip the lever for minutes. And now something comletely different: headlights again... I think I will keep that. I must give myself a compliment, I like this Streetfighter MOD much more, than the original set. Ok, I pass it to the designer, as this was very simple to do, as the base is really good!
