There have been two topics in the past six months about letting kids play with 'our' Lego. Search for them as they were quite interesting. My three year-old's idea of playing with the train is normally to put his foot on the track and letting the train smash into it. Have fun, Joe

Hey! I like those a lot. Thanks for sharing. Joe

Hey! That's some serious motive power! Do the lights in your home flicker if you charge all those at the same time? Thanks for sharing, Joe
-
Hey! Whatever you do, don't do a Zappa and call your kid 'Moonbeam' or something like that! Seriously though, Joseph or it's female derivatives are fine names. Joe

Hey! Thanks for reviewing this blast from the past. Your pictures are pretty good. Joe

Hey! A few months ago someone posted a heavy MOD of this model here in the train forum that he made into sort of a generic train car w-PF to push various trains around. Maybe that's what you're thinking of? I've never seen the stock model w-PF, but it's a good idea. Joe

Hey! Interesting question! I'd first check if anyone slipped anything into my coffee! Joe

That bridge is a good choice to do in Lego. What are those large fence pieces down by the tractor dealership? The blue wall really works well as a background. 16,000+ posts! They'll need to make (another?) new title for you! Thanks, Joe

Hey, thanks! I had missed that article the first time through this post. Joe

Hey! That's a great looking engine and thanks for sharing the files. I will probably try to copy it someday. I also think the nose should be smaller. Is it possible to do trucks with three axles with PF? Joe

Hey! It's really coming together well. A truck stop sounds like a great idea, I'm looking forward to the photos. Joe

Hey! Don't sell the children! I'm waiting patiently for the next issue. There are still some of the older ones I've not yet caught up on anyway. Thanks, Joe

Hey! I love it, especially the slope on the front. Thanks for sharing. Dismissed Joe

My sister worked in a hobbist glass blowing shop for a number of years. It was a little disconcerting to me to see how that silica (I think it's called) embedded itself into and onto everything. I guess that whatever is on the inside of your box was also on the outside, but has been wiped off. Joe

Hey! Thanks for the link. Are those 'Volt Green' Lego Croc shoes available in size 47.5? Joe

Hey! That would be really great if you could share that stuff with us. I also enjoy looking thru the idea books, etc. 800x600 would be too small IMO. I just opened up a few JPEGs of an idea book I downloaded from Peeron, they were about 800 wide by1200 high and that seemed ok. Bigger would be ok with me. EDIT; I forgot to mention; They have Acrobat Pro at my work so if you want, I could put a group of JPEGs into one PDF. That's what I did with the idea books I downloaded from Peeron. It's much better to open one PDF than to open sixty JPEGs. I won't be working there much longer though. Thanks, Joe

Hey! It's a good question. Here in Beijing we have a lot of dust, that stuff works it's way into unimaginable places. Perhaps your set was stored in a poor environment. Also, once I bought a new, recent set at a store and a bag had a small tear and a little piece had come out into the box. Stuff happens. Joe

Hey! Welcome back. I guess we need to know how long you've been away? Joe

Hey! Johnny Depp is an amazing actor. You were really lucky to get those autographs. Thanks for sharing that with us. Joe

Ditto! Yeah, I'm the kind of person who doesn't like to MOD stuff at all. If you are, go for it and post pics. Please weigh in on what others post as well. Have fun, Joe

LDD MOC: Glencoe Imperial & Pacific motive power
Hey Joe replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Hey! That British switcher is looking pretty cool. Maybe I've been reading Eurobricks too much as I almost called it a shunter. It would be bizarre to see one in real life around St. Louis. Did any of those type of engines ever make it over to the States? Joe -
Hey! A for effort and thanks for sharing. I gotta go with the others and say that it looks too wide. Those walkways are definitely there on the real engine. The guy who designed the Lego Maersk also did the Red Cargo Train 3677. It's kind of an odd looking thing but one of it's cool features is the fact that the engine part is only four bricks wide and part of it is made from the battery box itself. The narrow engine with walkways looks good IMO. Joe

Hey! Those are cool. I guess the set two one is my favorite. Joe

Hey! Maybe MOCpages might have some good ideas? This is the link for the MOCpages > Trains > Cargo & Freight section: http://www.mocpages.com/directory.php/45?page=1&sort=most_popular&filter=moc This link is an MOC of an old Fruit Growers Express reefer there that's similar to what you have in mind: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/90596 Hope that helps, Joe

Hey! What a beast! How many PF motors did you use? It takes curves? Thanks, Joe
