  1. absolutely no :P theres no problem! btw ill release instructions....the only thing is that youll need those spheres to make it work properly otherwise you have to make it like this i made before http://p-lego.blogspot.it/2013/01/lego-rc-sequential-gearbox-3r.html
  2. here's another picture now that's almost finished: nono muppet it isnt :P you'll see when ill make the instructions :)
  3. ahah totally agree....lets say im a 99% purist....sometimes lego doesn't offer enough pieces for our ideas :P
  4. the only cheats i have in the model im building are one 3axle cut into 3 pieces and a 1mm gauge into my clutch (just to make it work better than it does anyway)
  5. this is how my gearbox is gonna work the concept is the same that sheepo's developed but this one is way smaller and lighter :P
  6. I dont really like the overall look BUT performances are F Amazing man!!!! Great job
  7. the link in my signature :P just click on it
  8. yeah, im building a new version of my 3+r based on the sheepo's concept have a look on my blog
  9. the gearbox is not complete yet :P it's gonna grow its size lol btw if the final result will be nice im gonna make some instructions :)
  10. finally i got time to start building :P i spent some time to place everything in a tidy way, so every part can be dismounted removing only 4 axles...it's perfect for finetuning everything at the end :P now i just need to add the sequential control for the gearbox and 1/3 of the model will be done :P
  11. hey alasdair! i was thinking to something like that for my car :) the only thing is that as my car is FWD i will need to make it quite different because i won't have any differential on the rear axle :) so ill need to make 2 brakes, one for each wheel :P
  12. Yeah id like to make an handbrake for rear wheels :-) ps: UFFFFF.... far from my legos for another week :(
  13. I need a reverse because of the one way clutch :p Im testint different ways to find the best one hopefully :D btw id like to have things in the most realistic place possible
  14. too big :P i have to develop my own :D but thanks anyway eheh
  15. yeah guys im building it :P but im going really slow because im doing lot of different things all togheter, so i can only dedicate few hours per week to this project but anyway at the moment im a bit stuck on finding a new way to make a brand new gearbox....if i cant find it in the next week im gonna use the old one i've built some months ago....it's going to be less elegant but it will work... the problem is that i need something REALLY small because id like to have the cockpit free from motors and gears :P...maybe a linear gearbox would work better...i have to make a few tests :) by the way one day or another you'll see this car complete 100% sure :) and in the spare time im also working at this....obviusly made out of lego pieces :D
  16. another idea! smaller cv joints....i like making small cars but they can't be 4x4 or AWD :(
  17. Why should U report that? Its a joke cmon
  18. Id be happy with the things that you already listed :-P. But if i have to add something id say "colors" im so tired of beeing forced to build soft curvess in red or black :/
  19. my favourite moc is this one http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3394/3311013645_a20b336d9a_o.jpg
  20. dear meatman, i TOTALLY agree with you
  21. yeah im more for lines only, even because with lines you can actually see what's going on inside :P
  22. I was thinking about how to make the body of my incoming lancia... you know there are two main styles to build the body of a car, the "lines only" used to make TLG such as this and the full body style like sheepo is used to build what style do you usually like?
  23. in my Lancia im using this clutch i've done... it works both as a clutch and a freewheel (like on bikes) it lets the wheels spin if the motor is not running....so you can switch gear safely... and it also guarantees a smooth driving because the car is gonna keep running for inertia and won't be braked by the motor. the only problem is that you need to have two more things if you use this: a R gear and a brake system :P
